Hotel Old Quarter

This is a nice hotel for the price and central location. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was clean and it had hot water and a nice view.

No real issues. There could have been better temperature controls, but it was not a real issue with the temperatures during our stay.

Good location to everything. The rooms were nice. You get what you pay for really. Usb chargers in the plugs was so handy.

The steep stairs was the only flaw I'd seen. Better security and safety on the windows might be a good recommendation.

The staff was aways kind and friedly, they helped with information and anything else. The hotel location is the most important brighspot, the hotel is located in the heart of Amsterdan, close to Amsterdan central station, restaurants and bars. If you came early not affraid because the street looks weird before 10 o clock (happened with me, i arrived The badroom is silent despite the movment street. The bad is confort. They have elevator (contrary to what I saw in other comments and what was previously informed) and it was a great surprise.

It's a bugdet hotel, you can't expect service or space similar of a 4 stars, the badroom is small, but exactly same of the photos. My only complaint it's about the luggage room, I needed to use and it´s downstairs, the stairs are high and sounds dangerous and my luggage fall down the stairs...but to a bufget hotel, just have a space to put the luggage is an advantage.

I was fortunate to get a room with a view on Damrak, which was beautiful. If you exit the hotel, you're surrounded by bars and restaurants - the place is perfect. Check in was quick and the staff is friendly. I was relieved to find a lift in the back of the building. I can't say anything about the breakfast and the bar but don't miss the cute cat which belongs to the hotel!

The bathroom was small, it was hard keeping the rest of the bathroom floor dry while taking a shower, but I understand that such small rooms require compact solutions. A towel on the floor helped - nothing to worry about.

Its in the middle of the city action. Great for those who wants to be in the center. Near red light district and restaurants.

I was given room 6. This room does not have access to elevator and the stairs is winding and very steep. You almost have to crawl up. They can keep your luggage at your own risk. They will give you a key going to again very steep stairs. Every person who has luggage kept in there has access. So that means other tenants can get your bag, if they want to.

Right in the center of Amsterdam with easy access to all travel places and loads of places to visit including options for food right on the doorstep! staff at front and in hotel were polite and accommodating, rooms were lovely; very comfy beds too. Had all you needed in the rooms including plenty of lights, plugs next to beds, also had hairdryer. Table with a cushioned chair perfect for sitting to apply make up or anything you would need a desk and chair with, had hangers for clothes and safes that you could lock yourself to store any important items. Water for shower was always lovely and warm too! Their lobby cat was also very cute and all guests seemed to love it

it’s quite a small property so if you struggle with any disability or restrictions in movement where you require mobility support I would recommend elsewhere, elevator could barely fit more than two people and stairs very narrow and steep throughout. this is obviously NOT the properties fault nor the hotel but something to keep in mind before booking if this would cause a struggle!

I was a bit dubious about this reading some of the reviews but it was fab ! Ideally located from Centraal Station, close to all shops, restaurants etc. staff were so nice too, check in at the pub which is really nice and they have a cat in there too. Really clean, comfortable and hairdryer in room. Shared shower / toilet were spotless and there is a sink in room anyway. Would defo come back here after staying. Saw People moaning on here about the stairs (we were on top floor) - no problem with them, wide enough and there’s a handrail anyway !

This hotel exceed my expectations. It was fairly cheap for a downtown Amsterdam hotel so I did not expect too much. The room was small but had a wonderful view of the canal. The hotel is located right off the Central Station, less than a 10 minute walk. Excellent location for exploring Amsterdam. There are many shops and restaurants in the area. You enter through a bar and I was concerned it might be noisy at night but it was fine. They allowed us to store our luggage after check out which was nice too. We didn't pay for the breakfast so I can't review that.

Everything was fine.

The hotel team (Natalia, Megan, Sammy, Mandy & Donna) absolutely made our time at the hotel extra special. Always good humoured, happy to help, friendly and relaxed whenever we interacted with them. They even got involved in setting my best friend up for his Coldplay concert birthday surprise with great enthusiasm! He didn't realise anything until standing outside the Johann Cruyff stadium (thank you again, team!) and you can imagine his surprise. Also fell in love with Mikey the cool cat who's always hanging around to welcome the guests.

Perfect location, warm room, nice bathroom, silent nights. Hotel is in a very nice pub, so it was nice to have a nice location and a pint of beer to return to after my days staying in Amsterdam for a work trip. Breakfast was really nice with a lot of different choices, but as I was always in a hurry and I was unable to try it. Always went for a cappuccino consumed on the pub bar. People working there are all young and all from different countries, and this I really liked it as they were always smiling, friendly and nice. There is also a lovely "distinguish gentleman" cat that hangs around into the lobby, his name is Miki, and he is the owner :)

Room a bit small with no chair and practically no table, as the table was retractile and I had to keep it close to hang my suits as the hanger was right on top of the table. If I have to find another bad thing, maybe the narrow stairs to get to my floor.
