Fantastic central location, less than 10 mins to Central Station, and quite literally under a minute to things such as bars, coffee shops etc. The room was spotlessly clean and on our first morning housekeeping knocked to see if we needed anything. Beds were ridiculously comfortable along with the pillows. There are many reviews stating the noise as an issue, but our room was just above reception overlooking the front and we slept with our window wide open with no trouble with noise. Amazing value for money!

As with everyone else, the stairs are a bit of a nightmare - BUT what do you expect in an older building in central Amsterdam. Rooms are very dated and could use a revamp, however, that is in no way a downside - merely an observation. Shower was also a little on the poor side but it did it’s job.

A characteristic building Quirky and quaint. The location. You step out of the building, turn right or left. 30 seconds you are in the Hub. We took the train from the Airport. When you exit the Station look straight and slightly to your left. There is a church steeple. Hotel Ben is up that street We stayed 12-15/09/23. Check in was quick Room was very clean with towels and a lovely comfy bed. Wi fi is excellent Previous reviews complaining about the stairs, noise etc are unfounded. They know about the stairs before booking Take a light backpack that goes on your back. There are handrails on either side. If you get noise Put a couple of ear plugs in The trouble is. Everyone expects everything to have mod cons these days. This is Amsterdam. An old city built over Canals If you want luxury There are hotels you can book everywhere. It’s not for me. I like these historic buildings and am grateful they haven’t been knocked down for the luxurious ones

Bathroom hooks. Bring some rubber or plastic ones to stick up yourselves for the duration of your stay

We stayed at Budget Hotel Ben for one night in order to be central and close to the train station, and we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely view from the room (looking into the Warmoesstraat and over to the Oude Kerk, the oldest building in the city). The room was very basic but it had character. Bed was tiny but comfortable enough. Staff were very helpful and always available.

Everything was clean enough but it could use some modernizing. The bathroom is extremely small and extremely basic. Also, if you can't sleep when there's noise from outside, steer clear, because the hotel is located right in the city centre and the party keeps going until the next morning.

All around great staff, absolutely no complaints there. The rooms were clean and everything was as expected: WiFi, facilities in the room, including in the bathroom - everything worked well. The hotel is very close to the Amsterdam Central Station. Great choice, especially with the price considered.

The stairs are a bit inconvenient because they are so narrow, but doable. The window of the room we stayed in faced a street, which meant that it got extremely noisy at night (with the hotel being that close to the City Centre and all), which the windows did not do a good job muffling. That was really the biggest caveat. That the windows were not well isolated meant that heat left the room quickly and basically everything going on outside could be heard easily.

Everything you want from a cheap hotel in the middle of the city. Can't say much more... We were only there to sleep, clean room clean linen and towels too. Would definitely stay here again.

The stairs, good grief, the stairs... we were top floor and so had to climb Mount Doom each night, but that's just part of the Amsterdam charm. The church bells helped to wake us each morning, but it got us moving for the day so we were thankful for them in the end!!

Truly perfect! The location was amazing, super central and near to everything you might want to visit. The room was clean, the sheets and towels were clean, after a day the room cleaning service also came and changed sheets, towels and cleaned everything. The beds were comfy, the room was quiet. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. After the checkout they let us leave our luggage there for the entire day. The 24h reception allowed us to do the check in without problems even if our flight had been delayed. And all of this for a low price? Truly astounding

Even though the room and bathroom were very small, the beds were comfortable and the room was quiet during the night. The hotel is conveniently located close to the station and they stored our luggage free of charge after checkout time so we could explore more before our train to the airport.

There were 4 flights of very steep stairs to climb with our luggage in tow. The view of the clock tower was great, but it was also very loud every 15 minutes when the bells rang. Luckily they were quiet after 11 pm.

location is amazing, walking distance to most of the places as a tourist you want to go to. Room and the toilet and bathroom were very clean.

heating hours stating on the paper next to the radiators were not correct and even during heating, was on minimum i guess. because it was not comfortably warm enough in the room. And be careful when you have hot shower and for a short time leave the bathroom door open, fire alarm activates.

There is nothing bad with this hotel if we talking about lower budget, and that amount of money that you are paying for it therefore all was good when I stayed in it, nothing to complain about, it is quite comfortable and nice, my room was spotless, of course don’t expect miracles but only good memories, in additional the other huge plus was that it was possible to leave your luggage till the of the day even though you checked out.

Cheap and geographically accessible. A few minute-walk from Amsterdam Central Station. Also near several tourist spots, like Damrak, Dam Square and Kalverstraat (main shopping street)

Its location, which is in the Red Light District itself. We stayed in the property during a weekend and it could get very noisy during the night as it is surrounded by pubs. The noisiest night for us during our stay was Friday night. But the staff knew and were accommodating when we asked for ear plugs to muffle the noise and help us rest.
