Everything was good! I mean for less than 100Euros / night nowadays in central amsterdam is a rare gem. And free breakfast at this price, its a bargain! Breakfast is decent (for free of charge) You get boiled eggs, breads, cereals, hot tea and coffee, ham, cheese, fruit salad. These are more than enough for me. About the location, its excellent. If you looking for hotel in Ams, please look for hotels nearby central station ONLY! You've got everything in this area. Direct train from airport, red light district, lots of restaurants, shopping street, trams to go to other parts of city all of these in 5 min walk!! Hotel staffs are friendly and helpful and they are 24hr available.

This hotel is not for those who doesn't like to walk up the stairs. Since some rooms (like my single room) is between floor. So there is a lift to bring you up but still have to walk on stairs abit. Another thing is the bathroom is very small and there is no shelf to put my toiletteries when i shower. The bathroom has been renovated, the bedroom should be also. It's dated but its what you pay for. :)

Best value for money hotel including breakfast i've been to so far in Amsterdam. Rooms are small, but this is the typical hotel room in Amsterdam. Central location, 5 mins walk from Amsterdam Centraal and 5 minute walk from museums and Red light district. Breakfast at the sister hotel 20m away was excellent (included full English breakfast). Breakfast at the actual hotel was good as well but with less options. Staff were very helpful with providing information about things to do around Amsterdam. On the second night, there was an issue with the electricity going off in my room at 1am due to a power failure in one of the rooms nearby that shut off electricity for the rooms in my corridor. The 24/7 receptionist quickly relocated me with no hesitation to another room for the night until the electricity was fixed (fixed during the night). Will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Breakfast could be a bit richer at Koopermoolen (similar to the sister hotel) Only 1 plug in the room. Could have been better with a second plug or a plug extension

Great location right in the heart of the city, very near to the train station. This did mean that we heard a lot of street noise at times, but this didn’t prevent us from enjoying our stay. Our room was fairly basic which we had already anticipated from the information and pictures on the website, but it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were really helpful in getting an extra mattress for the room when our daughter unexpectedly needed to stay for a couple of nights. The breakfast was a typical continental affair, eggs, cheese and cold meats with bread, jam and cereals too. The coffee was good (self service from a machine) The breakfast room was pleasant and someone was always available to top supplies up if they were running low.

The door on our wardrobe was slightly wonky on arrival and the bottom hinge came loose on our second day. We did tell several people on reception about it but no one ever came to fix it.

Great location. Quality was sufficient for our needs, Breakfast was fine. All staff we encountered were brilliant. Would definitely choose to stay there again.

The only window opened onto a dull shaft, but wasn't looking for a view.

Location is excellent 3 mins from the station and easy walking distance for most tourist attractions - Dam Square / Red Light district / Museums etc Also we mucked up our booking - and the staff were excellent - big thank you to the guy who made us laugh and managed to get us a cheap room for our final night . We still owe you a beer but we will be back to make good on our promise! If you want a cheapish base to sleep right in the middle of it you wont find better . We had a grand time

Its basic - basic breakfast, basic beds , basic rooms. But im in one of the most beautiful cities in the world if I want to spend all my time in the hotel or the hotel room theres something wrong. And yeah people are noisy in the street. If youre room is at the back you wont hear them - if youre at the front you will. But are right in the centre of Amsterdam so for me not unexpected

Very well located. Breakfast was simple, but not rushed. The dark bread was very good. Coffee was good. The stairs told me I was in an old building...in Amsterdam. The staff were polite and helpful. I reported a blocked drain and they fixed it a few hours later, which was good. The bed was brand new...delivered that day the way they deliver furniture in Amsterdam...using a pulley and bringing it in through the front window.

Being picky...the furniture was a bit dated (not in a retro way) and had damaged edges. But with a new bathroom and only needing the room to sleep and prepare to go out...it was fine.

The hotel is in a super great position, not even 5 minutes from Central Station and Dam Square, and just behind the Red Light District. I visited the entire city by feet. You have tons of restaurants, bars, cafés etc just outside the door. It is really crowded at night but it didn't bother me, it actually made me feel safer (I'm a woman traveling on my own). My room was on the 3rd floor and on the back, so I didn't hear any noise as someone else complained on here. The room was clean and they changed towels everyday. Breakfast was enough (various types of bread + jam, honey, peanut butter etc, breakfast cereals, yogurt, milk, fruit and the savory stuff such as eggs, ham etc). Last but not least the staff was very nice!

The price is rather high, but I guess it's in line with the prices of Amsterdam which is an expensive city

The location is superb, at 7min approximately from the train station Amsterdam Centraal. The breakfast was included in the price and it had all the basics. The room was big enough for two people and they changed the bed sheets and towels every day so everything was really clean and tidy. The staff was super friendly and helped us with anything we needed.

I wish they included soy milk for instance at breakfast and a little more variety. Overall I can't complain about much more.

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Location is great, turn left out of the hotel at the end of the road. You're in Dam Square. Short walk distance from red-light and train staion. Road Hotel is on has loads of restaurants so really helpful if wanting to stay close by.

Stairs are very steep to the apartment. The toliet door handle was a little dodgy and having to use a piece of wood to hold the window open. Would recommend ear plugs as on the main strip of restaurants.
