Travel Hotel Amsterdam

The location of the hotel is perfect, near the train station and the city. It was hot in the room because it wasn't air-conditioned and the room didn't have a refrigerator which we already expected, so we were glad that we could ask for ice for our drinks at the end of the tiring day.

The floor felt sticky and dirty, because we noticed our white socks were so dirty. No extra towel in the toilet that you can put on the floor after taking a shower, so the floor was wet and disgusting. They didn't have anything to sweep the water away after taking a shower. We tried to ask for one extra towel, but the person at the counter answered he didn't know where they were, which we found kinda weird.

Clean, tidy, bed comfy, square but soft pillow, good duvet, there was fans to ventilate (what was very good because there is no ventilation or conditioner air). there was shampoo and soap on the toilet, and hairdryer. the reception is 24/7, so is very good. check in is fast. there is a pub behind the reception, and vending machine if need something.

bad ventilation, no fresh air in the room, we HAD to use the fan/ventilator. there was no breakfast 😞 my room was on 4th floor (I have a problem in the leg) so it was tough and the stairs are super short, but I survived 🫢

really nice stay, decent room for the 4 of us and perfect location. Would recommend

The Bar only accepted cash but did have access to a card machine to pay for tourism fees and stuff, however the pool table was a nice bonus edition to the facilities. stairs are a bit narrow but I know Amsterdam building designs are like this and it was expected on previous reviews.

It was right in the heart of Amsterdam. The place was nice and the beds were comfy. We booked a room for 4 and the upgraded us to a room for 8 so we can use the extra space. The rooms were nothing fancy but very clean and quite modern. The beds were nice and also there are personal reading lights next to every bed and also a power socket.

The only negative was that the bad and the 8-pool area was not working at the moment of our stay and also the huge ammount of stairs that you have to climb to get to the room.

Our receptionist on check-in was helpful and let us check in early as our room was ready. The location the perfect distance from Amsterdam Centraal and places you straight into the city centre with tourist attractions on your doorstep!

The sink area was quite small and the window didn't open very far. We wished the reception bar wasn't cash only as we would have spent a lot more time in there! It was very quaint.

We had a good stay at Travel Hotel, the location was amazing and staff were friendly. Our room was clean as was the bathroom, the mattress was very comfortable.

This didn’t effect us too much but be warned there is no elevator and the stairs are quite steep and not very wide. Also the rooms get a bit hot but we had 2 fans in our room

Very close to Amsterdam Central station and to Damrak boat cruises. Lots of restaurants from just few steps away from the hotel. Just enough for a weekend holiday.

It doesn't matter that much but I suggest to have a bath mat. The floor gets too wet after a shower. A bath mat to dry the feet will be nice and it will keep the floor dry.

The room was small but had everything we needed including towels and soap and was perfectly clean. There were fans and there was a bar too

There was not much space in the room however there are lockers and cubbys so this wasn’t a problem. The stairs are very difficult to get up when we had such large cases.

Efficient room, what we needed and good for the price.

The main door didn’t prevent noises from the stairwell coming in. Every buzz in, walk up the stairs and conversation in the corridor could be heard and it was loud in some cases.

great location and friendly staff room was well sized and perfect for 6 guests with plenty of room still to move around

nothing to complain about really the stairs are steep but if you’ve traveled to Amsterdam as many times as I have you expect nothing less all the stairs are steep just go back drunk and you’ll never remember having to climb them apart from that hotel is brilliant
