+ Staff was very friendly and helpful! My credit card couldn't be processed for the deposit. Nevertheless, they reserved the room for me after I called and I didn't have to pay the deposit. + Loved the fact that they have very diverse staff, which made me (as a person of color) feel very welcome. + Room was of a decent size + Room was clean, and tidied by the staff each day + Sheets, pillows and towels were soft, fresh and clean each day. Housekeeping paid a lot of attention to detail while making up the bed. + Enough space to store my belongings + Fridge to keep things cooled + Heating was present and could be adjusted to your liking + Bathroom was spacious, clean and neat + Great size mirror & sink + hairdryer available + Large mirror on the door (great to check your outfits) + Option to make free tea and coffee each day + Location is great: 5 min. walk from public transportation in every direction of the city (tram)

- When I got to my room on the first night the room smelled of smoke, when smoking was supposed to be prohibited. - Shower only had a very small splashback, so the entire bathroom floor would get wet. - I couldn't get the shower adjusted to my height. It was broken, which was quite frustrating, since I didn't want to get my hair wet. - Water kept on getting cold, even when increasing the temperature regularly.

I liked the room, especially the patio. I was worried that the patio might be dirty, but it was very clean. The space in the room was more than enough for both of us. The lady who checked us in was very helpful and pleasant, the other staff were very nice and warm too. Location wise, VERY GOOD because everything was close by and the tram station was a 2 minute walk only.

Everything was great however, the stairs leading to our room was a tad bit too steep. Apart from that, we enjoyed our stay a lot. This hotel will be our go to hotel whenever we're in Ams again.

Location and good value for money. It's walking distance to all major sites and city center. The hotel has no breakfast option, but there is a sandwich bar just two three buildings away, and many other options within a short walking distance. The airport shuttle bus 397 has also a station nearby. Overall we are very pleased with our stay.

Nothing to dislike for us. But for you who have heavy luggage, try to avoid staying on the 4th floor because the elevator only takes you to the 3rd, and as the hotel stated in the description, the older buildings have steep stairs, it will be hard to carry a heavy luggage up. For us personally it was not an issue since we only had a small carry-on bag.

Location, kindness for the staff, light in the rooms on the 2nd floor, size of the bathroom, having a water heater kettle and tee and coffee, very clean. General terms, I think it was good for Amsterdam and their prices and normal standards.

System of the elevator, crazy. Stairs very narrow and almost you need to climb them, for carried the luggage was difficult, which for us was ok and even funny, but not sure for older ones. The shower and the bath had no cover or door, so water was going out easily.

Li at reception was super friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in a bit earlier, which helped us greatly with our plans for the day. Room was on the smaller side but still big enough for the night. Facing the street but noise was not a problem. The hotel supplied us with towels, linen, coffee and tee and earplugs. They even had a small fridge in our room. Good water pressure in shower. Great and short walking distance from city centre. Good location :) Just be careful, steps are very steep…but that seems to be normal for Amsterdam :)

The pillows were huge and on the harder side. We ended up sleeping without any pillows to spare our necks the pain. The shower head kept falling off it’s mount. The sink wasn’t draining properly. There were dark hairs (not ours) on bedding, linen and towels.

Staff were so friendly! A great hotel in the perfect location. Many great restaurants were around the corner.

The stairs into the building were very steep. That was fine if you don't have mobility issues, but if you do, pick another hotel. The elevator had broken down, so staff took our luggage up to our room because you had to take another set of narrow stairs. Anyone with a walker or wheelchair would not be able to stay here.

The hotel overlooks to the canal, we were on the top floor, where the view was beautiful. The room was spacios and clean. The museum district is a 10-minute walk, the red light district and the central station can be reached in 15 minutes by tram. The staff was nice, it was possible to leave the luggages after checkout. There is also a restaurant with breakfast only 1 minute from the accommodation (for those who need it).

Lovely little hotel a stones throw from inner Amsterdam. Staff were very friendly and welcomed us to the city, happy to hold on to our bags while our room was prepared. Good base to explore the Jordaan (5 mins walk away) or the Museums district, (5 mins the other way). Bed very comfortable, air con worked well and the bathroom was well equipped. The lift was a lifesaver to avoid a steep set of stairs.

Room was a little on the small side. Not one for you if you travel with more than one large suitcase. A little disappointing based on what we paid, compared to other European cities. I suppose space comes at a price in Amsterdam! Lift only goes to the third floor, so if you're on the 4th you'll have to climb the last set of stairs.

We wanted great, central location (which it is) and took smallest room to soften the price. Have never been in such a tiny room that was so well and luxuriously put together. Hardly room to swing a cat. There's absolutely NO place for a normal-sized suitcase. But considering the size, it's astonishing how (relatively) spacious they made it look and feel, and even fitted in amenities such as coffee-maker without making it seem crowded. Lovely staff.

Considering the investment they made in other furnishings of the room, they could have gone for slightly better mattresses - AND sheets! Oh... I HATE this new trend I'm coming across more often for using flat sheets (instead of fitted) as under-sheets. Hotel Owners + Managers: THEY DON'T STAY PUT! If your guest turns over more than a few times, they end up on a crumpled, sliding heap of cotton by morning.

Very nice location - not the most central, but close enough to where the action was; room was in the basement but still very quiet and bright enough; staff was discrete but helpful; large and comfortable bed

Like all hotels in Amsterdam - the room was on the smallish side, but still there was room for the suitcase; toilet was quite small, but functional
