Funky design, good use of limited space, drinkable tap water, quiet despite its central location.

If you insist on having a semi see-through glass wall between the bedroom and the bathroom to create an intimate atmosphere make sure you put the shower, not the toilet, right next to it. The other way around is just wrong.

I was very happy with the location and the friendliness of the staff. In particular with a lady at the reception desk who was tremendously accommodating by providing me with ice to alleviate a sprained ankle I suffered at the stairs of your location. Also, there was a gentleman attending the breakfast who was kind enough to 1) allow me get some breakfast in spite of my late arrival due to my injured ankle and 2) provided me with an ace bandage for my sprained ankle. My thanks and appreciation to them.

I did not like the lack of attention given to the safety of your patrons by taking into account the steep and narrow structure of the only entrance to your facility. I understand that the building structure should be maintained for the sake of landmark, etc. but at the same time this hotel should understand that tourists come from all parts of the world and may not be accustomed to that type of stairs and fall, as was the case with me. A few tips to consider that would help avoid accidents without affecting the building facade would be to put more lights and color contrast at every step to attract attention to each landing. Additionally, the railing should go all the way down instead of ending midway. Thank you.

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the self-check in (and out) was a breeze! The room was super spacious, and the bed was really comfortable! We loved the easy breakfast options, and the orange juice was some of the best we've had! The location is optimal, and everything you need is right around the corner, from grocery stores to restaurants and the main canals - you're right in the middle of Amsterdam, and everything is incredibly close by. What a joy being so close to it all, but still feeling private and cozy in our air-conditioned hotel room. An honorable mention goes to the decor - you can see that so much effort has been put into this, and the colorful, quirky interior was an absolute delight. We cannot fault this hotel at all!

It was super easy and fast to use self-check-in service, apart from that there was always a person at the reception to help with anything. I was able to check in earlier than the official check in time which was very pleasant. In the room there were 2 water bottles, coffee machine and tea bags of different tastes, accompanied with 2 Tony's chocolates. It really helped me after a long trip. The room was small but enough for one person for sure, which was the case for me. The bathroom and room were clean. I didn't book breakfast in advance but I was able to purchase it at the place at the same rate it was advertised on booking. I was alone at the breakfast at 7am :) The day of my departure it was a storm in Amsterdam and I was allowed to stay for an hour longer in my room, which I'm very thankful for. I would definitely recommend to stay at this hotel and most probably will come back!

Stuff is really friendly and welcoming! Location is absolutely ideal - within walking distance from any city attraction, but located just outside the tourists fuss - the neighborhood is calm and not crowded, full of nice local cafes and restaraunts, so you can always dine out without a bother. The room itself was clean and regular size (not too tiny), which was just enough for two people to enjoy a good rest. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, but just enough to get your day started with some pancakes, sandwiches, and a cup of coffee. Bar in the room was empty, but you can grab some basic drinks like beer or something strong at the lobby bar downstairs. We were really happy we changed our mind and didn't stay in the very centre of the city. This place was just the right thing for us. People working here are amazing and kind.

The only downside are the windows and specifically their soundproofing. You can hear the noise from the street as if the window is opened (had to check it was closed). Was all right for us as we stayed on the 4th floor, but I assume it gets worse as you stay lower to the ground.

The hotel is clean, always the most important. It's stylish enough and has a great sense of design and style. The room I stayed in 245, was big and had enough space for 2 people to be comfortable. The location is great if you want to be on the other side of the city and not in the main heart of the city itself. I loved the self check in and check out process, makes it so much more simple when arriving and leaving. No hovering around waiting to give your details to someone. I didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food. The bed was very comfy and the water pressure was great too.

The hotel was an easy 8 - 10 minutes ride by tram from the central station and was perfectly located for what we had planned, i.e. visits to the Rijksmuseum and van Gogh Museum, both about a 10 minute walk. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and because the hotel wasn't full, we were upgraded from a single and an economy double, to an economy double and a standard double, which we very much appreciated. The hotel communal areas and our rooms were spotlessly clean. We were able to enjoy a quiet drink at the hotel bar and a good breakfast the following day. Although we didn't need to use it, there is a small "shop" area in the foyer where it's possible to buy snacks and drinks etc. I loved the quirky decor too!

The rooms are a bit small. The economy double has the bed placed against a wall (fine in our case as it was upgraded from a single). The standard double has the bed in the centre, but there is very little room to move around or place a suitcase. It was however fine for a short stay. Our rooms were on the first floor and we could hear some noise from cars passing on the main road in front of the hotel. This was easily blocked by using earplugs.

Excellent position to visit the city center on foot. Very close to the main museums and to the Vondelpark. The closest tram stop, Leidseplein, is just 2 min away. Fairly spacious room, quiet, with air conditioning and lots of accessories (hairdryer, coffee machine, kettle, coffee capsules and tea bags replaced every day). There's an elevator to reach the rooms, but the stairs to enter the building are quite steep. We arrived before the check-in time and they allowed us to store our luggage there.

The sink was outside the bathroom.

The hotel was lovely and clean, a fresh looking interior, an easy to use self check in but the staff were there to greet and welcome you and give assistance if needed, and 24/7 drinks and snacks are available if you fancy. The room was cosy with a very comfortable bed and a brilliant shower that was spotlessly clean. The hotel was very easy to find with it being no more than a 5 minute walk from a tram stop that it's self was a 10 minute journey to the center of Amsterdam. Its location is ideal for a peaceful nights sleep but a short walk to a bustling square with lots of food and drink options. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and stay especially knowing at the end of the day we had a lovely place to stay.

The room was on the small side, but this is a very minor bad point as it was something that didn't bother us as it was clean, cosy and well presented.

The location is great. Easy to find. Hotel is extremely stylish, self check any time. Room is well equipped with capsule coffee machine, kettle. 2 bottles of water for the check in as compliment. There is fridge. Perfect bed and pillows, good shower. Very good pancakes for breakfast and good quality coffee. You can leave your luggage after check out. Nice hall where you can drink some wine or work. In general it was good experience.

Size of the room is really small. The windows are facing road - if you open it at night - it’s noisy from the street. Shower has semi transparent wall to the room, I lived alone, but if you for example live with colleague - can be funny situation. Expensive if this word is anyhow applicable in Amsterdam - it never was cheap, but now the prices are insane. So probably it’s just average rate for this city.
