Delago Motel/Apartments

Great location near the CBD with ample parking and an easy drive from the airport. Lovely spacious room with TV, wifi, lounge area, kitchenette and storage. Superbly comfortable bed with quality bedding. The room was immaculately clean with a well-equipped kitchenette and the bonus of having a washing machine/dryer too. The bathroom was fully stocked with large shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles - not the tiny single-use pots that don't go far enough.

My only observation was the lighting was a little dim - especially when doing your makeup or for someone who needs a good level of light when reading etc. This is not a 'don't like', it's just an observation.

we booked the deluxe studio with a spa bath. the hot water was consistent. . The receptionist was very knowledgeable and helpful. really loved it that the parking in the motel was inside, safe, and spacious. very clean. neat and chic.

The heater in the bathroom was not very efficient. since we got the middle room, the wifi was shared between room 1 and room 3 (you are using either one) thus it's not very strong. One night my Zoom for work wouldn't just connect due to this. the kitchen, however, you cannot really cook. an electric stove and pots are given during request. since there is no proper window near the kitchen or a vent, the smell of even frying an egg stayed in.

Delago Apartments are positioned in a great location, convenient by walking to most places. Will the manager/owner was extremely helpful and available. Provided information, helped with phone issues, very impressed. Our unit/studio was very comfortable, appliances available, toaster, sandwich maker and microwave. Lovely fine white crockery, always makes me happy. I would stay there again, just to be looked after by Will. Thankyou.

There was no sharp cutting knife, I did mean to mention this to Will, I am sure it has been misplaced. No other issues though.

It is a very good location - a short drive to the CBD, 10 minute walk to Merivale Mall which includes a supermarket and 6 minutes walk to Hagley Park. Very comfortable bed. The room was a good size and spotlessly clean. Very little road noise.

The car parks are a little tight. I was told if the car park was full there was a way to make a space available. Other than that everything was great.

The check in staff were super amazing! They were chatty and helpful and answered all my questions and concerns. The double bed was nice and bathroom was nice. The whole room was super clean. Will definitely stay again.

The single be is too small for a grown adult. Not a bad thing but just know you will have to pay $150 as a holding bond fee. You get it back but it takes a couple of days which on the weekend while money is tight for some it might not fit the budget. ( it is in their policies so its not a bad thing just was a surprise as i didn't read them right the way through.

Very comfortable room (complete with washing machine), great location and nice shower. Walking distance to some nice cafes and Merivale Mall. Possible to walk to city for those who like to stroll. Will, the manager, was very friendly and offered me an upgrade, as well as help when I needed an alternative for a single night. I had a car for some of the time and the motel has free parking.

The staff seem very cheerful and accommodating. We had free upgrade with spa. The studio was clean and tidy and the beds were comfy. The heat pump made it warm and cozy during the cold winter nights.

Can get a bit noisy being on a busy road and the neighbour's can be abit noisy at night. There's a washing machine but no dryer or clothes hanger.

We arrived later than expected and had to check in after hours. The hotel staff was accommodating, sending us a message an hour before closure with clear instructions on locating the room and accessing the keys. It's worth noting that the hotel offers free parking and provides access to Netflix and YouTube accounts.

The rooms had a balcony with a bistro set so we could sit outside and enjoy some fresh air, and it made the room feel bigger. This balcony was also a great place to dry some laundry. The landlord provided us with a drying rack to use. He was also helpful with the washing machine when we couldn"t figure out the instructions. He also suggested good day trips and even called the tour operator to arrange pick up. Fabulous host!

A friendly welcome from our host, who gave us a free upgrade and map of Christchurch with recommendations. Our room, kitchenette and ensuite were immaculately clean and well appointed. Great shower with nice fluffy towels. 20 minutes from airport or downtown. Good cafes and shoppes nearby.

It was perfect for our one night stay.
