Merivale Court Motel & Apartments

The kitchen had all we needed, it had a small refrigerator and it was cold, a toaster and a electric kettle. The place was well kept. The bathroom was clean and neat. The couches in the living room were comfortable. We like the convenience of the location to all the places we needed to be and thank you for the free parking. We had to move from another hotel we were at due to the inconvenience and unsafe of the parking area especially at night. This hotel we felt safe tho the parking lot needed some more lights. Overall we like this place and our adult children that traveled with us like it better than the first hotel we were at. It's surely a recommendation to those who travel as a family or in a group. The price was fair and reasonable

The bed in the room we were in needed a turn. The head felt lower than the feet so we had to switched. The bathroom door needed a lock so when adults renting the apartment don't walk in to use the toilet while the other is in the shower naked. Or more so put a curtain to cover the shower door. The outside front area needed to cover with gravel or cement so when walking inside you don't bring dirt with your shoes in. . We were on the first floor and it was raining everyday. We had to walk in with wet shoes and there was no dirt rug at the door to leave our shoes on, so had to leave on the carpet.

The beds are firm but comfortable. The heating was great. Good sized TV in the two bedroom unit. Lighting was soft. And the shower was to d!e for, omg best shower I've had in a long time!

Cleanliness was very poor. Food splatters on the kitchen curtain and wall behind stove. Food crumbs and rubbish in gap between fridge and bench. The walls in bedroom and bathroom were horrendously filthy. The bathroom wall looked as if it had human feaces smudged on. Mold in shower around edges! A bit of elbow grease or a white sponge would do the trick, along with some extra time spent.

Excellent location, being only 20 mins walk from Te Pae Convention centre in the CBD. Basic room but everything you need & full cooking facilities provided. Good off street parking too.

Odd arrangement with the toilet off the bathroom & 2 doors to coordinate getting on & out. Some hooks on the back of the bathroom door would have useful, as well as a full length mirror.

I liked how comfortable it was. Was nice and warm and kids seemed to be very comfortable compared to other places we had stayed. I like that it had an oven aswell as made it more like home for the kids with home cooked meals

Couldn't contact anyone about a blocked toilet so went to shops and sorted it myself

I liked the set up, i have stayed at many hotels motels in chch and i will stay at your motel again with my partner next time we are in chch. The heating is fantastic and tv was great.

The shower was disappointing, the mixer didnt work properly, it was very loose, unable to keep a constant temperature. We stayed in number 3.

Location was good - on a major bus route and short walk to Merivale Mall. Facilities were good - jug, fridge etc. TV was mounted on a moveable arm for convenience of viewing in the bed.

Room was very warm in the middle of summer and there was no air conditioning or any way to cool it down except opening the door and tiny window in the bathroom.

Had a late night gig in the city. Our stay was contactless but the staff I spoke to on the phone were lovely and helpful. The room was comfy and clean and had everything we needed for our one night stay. Excellent value for money, close to where we were staying and the bed was sooooo comfy. Will stay again 😊

The location is great and accessible to almost everything such as bus stops, supermarket, park, restaurant, and CBD.

The kitchen utensils need a little upgrade/replacement and curtains with tears need to be changed.

Awesome location, easy walking to everything we wanted to see and do. Off road parking and a nice warm, clean unit.

Nothing really, fire alarm battery went flat and started beeping at 4am, but that could happen anywhere

Great location. Very spacious room and very good bathroom. Great price.

Just the building is a little bit old. Otherwise it is perfect.
