Apostles View Motel

Motel proprietor was absolutely lovely. The double studio rooms were spotless, and really nice. The decor is slightly dated, but really nice, and certainly not a negative...very cool infact. The kitchen, bathroom and toilet facilities were spotless and all worked as they should. A lovely location, and a nice break from the being in town. The drive to town is short and easy.

The only potential negative was the roadside noise in the front bedroom from around 7am to 9am, due to roadside traffic heading to Greymouth. I'm a light sleeper, so it may not impact others. Wasn't an issue, as we were up and about around that time.

Attention to detail in the rooms, from the little FOGO scraps bin in the kitchen, to the heated towel rail in the bathroom, air freshener in the toilet and earplugs provided in the bedroom drawers. Daily room servicing - just top notch service and room facilities, and with a focus on reducing our environmental footprints. On top of this the friendly and bubbly owner at reception made us feel welcome from the outset. Perfect hospitality, thank you so much.

The traffic noise was a little higher than ideal, but certainly not a deal breaker.

Facilitiy was amazing. The Host was wonderful! She was bubbly and helpful. Enjoyed the decor and the two rooms off the lounge and kitchen. It was very clean and had such a freshness about it.

The outside noise from the highway kept one of us awake. He tried to use ear plugs but could not get past the sound...this is not the fault of the staff at the Motel....but wonder if traffic controllers can put a reduced speed out along this part of the highway. The noise took away the peace that he needed.

2 bedroom studio apartment - very well appointed, beds are really comfortable, the night we were there the temperature dropped night time quite a lot from the day, there were electric blankets on the beds! blessing in disguise :-)

due to single glazing one of our party found the road noise kept them awake, we were unlucky to be staying there when the biggest clap of thunder just happened to be above us - just WOW

A lovely 2 bedroom apartment with everything we needed. The kitchen has an oven and all the appliances you'd expect. The bathroom was nice and there was a separate toilet. Bedrooms and living space were comfortable.

Paying $10 for one load of washing was a bit steep. And I'm not used to hearing traffic at night so that kept me up.

Very nice place with good facilities and great to have a single bed in the lounge for our teenage daughter

The noise from state highway one was a nuisance. The owners can't do anything about that, other than double glazing, which only works with the windows shut, but it did bother us and disturbed an otherwise peaceful property.

Some of the doors didn’t shut properly and the door to get into the unit wouldn’t lock from the outside. About 1am someone we didn’t know walked into our room then walked back outside (quite scary) started dragging stuff on the ground outside, also sounded like smashing glass bottles on the concrete and slamming doors outside.

The motel is very tidy and clean. Very comfortable and spacious. The owner/staff is very kind and hospitality. The location is awesome. Very nice motel. As so far this is the best motel we experience compared to others. We will be back again this motel we love the beautiful people also and the motel. Close to town and close also in the tourist spot. First class and ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulous location on the West Coast, just out of town and close to the beach Genuinely lovely hosts and workers, looked after us well Very comforting units gave us all we required for our family holiday. Great parking and space between units with coastal scenery Highly recommend staying here

Nothing I didn't like

Very comfortable, lots of room, super well set up, kitchen really well equipped, everything spotless and well thought out

Only downside was road noise from the nearby state highway but that was not noticeable over night (no traffic) and didn't interfere with a great nights sleep
