The Ashley Hotel Greymouth

The staff were very friendly. Loved the fact there was a Swimming Pool and Spa.

Went to pull the curtains and the curtain rail fall down as it wasnt attached to the brackets. Phoned Reception to advise, the male member was unsure what to do, we asked if we could get a screw driver to see if we could fix it. The same staff member bought the screw driver to the room was pleasant but my partner was the one that re attached the curtain rail. The toilet was black and dirty under the slipping door when you closed the door.

The bed was great but I think the sheets and the linen overall was below the standard one would expect. The room was clean I did notice some updating of plumbing, bathroom sinks and tap ware needed attention. Overall it was a comfortable room Number 18.

The linen chosen for the bed. The mattress protector needed replacing and all the sheeting for the bed, the pillow's and pillow slips was all wrong. Try buying if I may suggest from Wallace Cotton they have excellent quality linen.

rooms are really well presented, modern and equipment with a everything you need. bad was super comfortable and the location is great. staff were all very friendly and the food onsite was good

parking out the front of your room was a little difficult as there wasn’t a lot of space, however there is more parking out the front

Staff were friendly, room was clean, bed was OK, TV reception was shocking, meal wasn't worth the amount we paid although my fish was yummy, altogether mixed reactions, but OK as last available accommodation in Greymouth for the night.

We had a wonderful time at the ashley. The beds were really comfy, the extra blanket was required though. We especially loved the friendly staff on the evening we arrived and the meal in the dining room was great value.

Room was great facilities were good too staff were absolutely fantastic so helpful when answering any questions I had

Bed was a little soft for me and this may sound silly but there was no toilet brush in the bathroom and main door was a little awkward to open and close

Staff always friendly and helpful with weather updates. Room and facilities good. Nice touch with the fudge - yumm.

Had to wait for a few minutes on arrival before someone came to reception, but it was dry and warm so not a major.

Room was as expected, but more motel than hotel. I think there may be 2 areas to the Complex. But over all, clean and tidy.

Some dishes in our room could have been cleaned better. Assume previous guest didn’t clean properly and cleaning staff haven’t checked? Felt it was a little expensive for what we got. But overall, had a good experience

Comfortable hotel and good restaurant. More like a motel with some rooms away from the main hotel. Friendly staff

No grab rail to help with access down the steps into the pool

Staff great. There was mould in the the jug which was swapped out but was pretty bad, really yucky. Was disappointed with the bruschetta not been available. I asked if I could just have something similar, a basic request but staff not willing to make a slight change. Other than that was really nice place to stay.
