Bella Vista Motel Hokitika

Had a courtesy call to check if we had made it safely through the passes which had been closed due to snow as we came through which I really appreciated. When we arrived, the lights and heaters were on in the room which was amazing because it was freezing and pouring with rain outside. Owner was lovely when we checked in. Rooms were immaculate and beds and pillows were so comfy. Fresh towels each day. Water pressure was fantastic. Absolutely loved staying here for 2 nights with our kids.Tv and SKY in both rooms and free WIFI meant our kids didnt want to leave.

There was nothing that we didnt like about Bella Vista.

A lovely property in all respects - very clean and comfortable, excellent self-catering facilities, very clean and comfortable Queen bed, crisp sheets and comfy pillows, convenient parking on site, great location, and a very welcoming and helpful host who provided fresh milk on arrival. A great accommodation experience in Hokitika on our NZ trip.

There was nothing to fault - it is a very clean, comfortable and well-maintained property. 5star rating from us.

Fantastic location, easy walk into town and to the beach with plenty of parking spaces for guests vehicles. Everything you could want toiletry-wise and culinary utensils were supplied. Staff were all very friendly & helpful. Excellent value for money.

Sadly noisy “neighbours” in the room opposite us needed volume control when Shouting at their co-travellers across the car park early in the morning. Nothing the Motel could do about that.

. I did not read the messages from the motel properly and did not realized the reception closes at 8pm and had informed her we will reach at about 830pm. The lady was kind enough to wait for us till close to 10pm as I did not update her that we will be late due to delay of our dinner. We felt really bad upsetting her evening... for those who need flexibility, please be mindful of the time.

Did not have breakfast. location was ideal for our visit. We travel a lot & could not fault this venue in any way. Booking dotcom stuffed up our booking but the receptionist/owner sorted the problem out in an extremely competent way. We would not hesitate to stay here again & have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

Good facilities, including iron/board hairdryer the only property to provide a larger towel for your hair after a shower, small things but very welcome when touring for a month on a motorbike. Very clean and well maintained. Central for bars, restaurants and beach.

No breakfast offered - I didn't know there was an option to have any... The room was very clean and comfortable. I was only there to shower and sleep but had everything I needed.

Great location just a minute from downtown, which offers a lot of great places to shop and several great restaurants. Beds very comfortable. Parking was available and close to room.

Couldn’t figure out the TV with the 2 remote controls, but we didn’t take the time to ask at the office either, so that’s our own fault.

Smooth & quick check-in, woman was great. Good Wifi. Big room and very clean, Parking directly out front. Very nice room and bathroom. Large cold refrigerator. Very well run property. Queen size bed.

A little noisy location. Directly on the main road/highway. Morning traffic woke me up.

Very convenient location for what we had planned in the area. Was given a nice upgrade in rooms. Very clean and comfortable

Had a picnic table right outside our room where a group gathered the days we were there. A little noisy but at least it didn’t last unto the night
