Fitzherbert Court Motel

Easy check in, clean and tidy, quiet and had everything we needed. Easy to find on the main road. Our rooms were serviced daily which I hadn't;t expected but they have an eco policy which means we kept our towels and could recycle so that was great. we were ablate sign in to our Netflix on the smart TV and the kitchen had everything we needed and more.

There was no playground or area for the kids to play but we were busy out and about so it wasn't a big issue for our short stay.  Instead they had a big spa bath!!

Plenty of space for the 4 of us. Short walk to Glow Worm Dell. Facility to do our laundry but only after 2pm and as we were out & about didn't get the chance to use it.

Didn't realise one of the single beds was in the same room as double bed, will check next time I book, double bed not the most comfortable. But that fridge!!! The noisiest fridge ever, kept us awake!! Blimey! Even considered disconnecting it overnight. The noise would stop for 10 minutes now and then but you're then anticipating it starting again so still couldn't get to sleep.

The only concern we had was in the bath, there were 2 long blacks hairs left and neither my husband or I have long dark hair. ☹️☹️ Also did not think the shower over the bath ideal for older customers.

Lovely clean room and spacious bathroom with large shower, A very comfortable bed. A lovely kitchen area with separate table. Good parking and location for travelling up and down the Westcoast using Hokitika as our base.

The bath was not comfortable As it was a triangle

Bit further from town than I thought but still walkable. Glow worm dell was close and very cool! Beach was close and full of interesting stones and rocks. Lovely clean and comfortable room.

No hot chocolate sachets for my daughter. Not a dislike but we usually find them when we stay places.

Lovely & clean, had most everything we needed, easy to find and pretty close to shops. Comfortable stay with plenty of room inside & out. Would stay again.

Only one lounge chair to sit in, would have been nice to have another one or a small couch to sit together as a couple.

Enormous suite with 2 bedrooms and an extra bed in the lounge. As there were only 2 of us we used the main bedroom. Good kitchen and bathroom. Clean and plenty of towels. Parking is outside your accommodation. Laundry on site is also very good, with a washer and separate dryer.

All good, no complaints.

Wonderful location for our young family as only a few minutes walk down the road to the beach and local dairy. Close to the historic lighthouse. Very comfy beds, nice room layout. Spacious and clean.

Only minor thing was that we had hot water supply issues trying to fill the (spa) bath for our young kids.

We were lucky enough to have a larger unit with separate bedroom. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom contained a spa type bath. Parking was right outside which was very convenient. Laundry facilities were available.
