Rolleston Highway Motel

My bedroom space was very modern, nicely styled, such a comfortable bed!! Great King Size yay and it had an electric blanket. I loved the dining space, the access to tv and Sky stations. The kitchenette was larger than I thought, the fridge too so THANK YOU. The bathroom shower was an excellent pressure and so clean. Thank you for the cleaning towel service. I also liked the compact storage space for clothes, ironing board and broom. Free car space and outdoor lights for security.

I got caught off guard when daily cleaning service arrived and she walked in and lifted the shade in the kitchen, when I wanted privacy a little longer LOL. I'll know for next time to politely decline this service when I'm still relaxing in the room and I am thankful for clean towels. One comment made about lower curtain marks was answered well.

We've stayed before, and always stay in a simple King Studio. We love the handy location just off the highway and also being close to the great eatery strip and shopping centre with supermarket in Rolleston. There is a Z service station next door to the motel, and next to that is the Rolly Inn where you can grab a cheap pub meal. The units are always impeccably clean, the bathroom is super spacious with lots of room to lay things out, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. Great to have laundry facilities available too, and the little covered bbq area is a real winner. Very good value indeed.

The decor is a tiny bit tired but not the worst I've experienced by any means. And the towels are a bit thin. Neither are biggies though.

Easy location to get to, quieter than we expected considering near major highway

Some touch up cleaning required, bedside touch lamps need cleaned as does top of headboard, no remote for tv only sky one, and only one coffee cup - notified office manager and cleaning team. Note that office hours are only 830-10am then 2-8pm, had arranged early bag drop and key collection but was a miscommunication between motel team members

The rooms are clean and the bed comfy. the bathroom is clean and tidy but toilet little low for my liking. the staff pleasant but a little frustrated that office closes between 10am and 2pm don't like that. otherwise, nice place to stay.

Low toilet and small fridges. Long period of time that office is closed during day with no one in office. Needs a comfy chair to sit on in room and at table for when on computer but in general great place to stay.

The room was spacious with plenty of room to stretch out. We arrived late afternoon after our flights were changed. We were catching the trans-alpine train in the morning from Rolleston station. The staff were amazing, very helpful and incredibly kind in regard to our catching the train. The shower area was spotless with a stunning shower. The motel is close to food outlets, but we did not require these. For us our stay was perfect with outstanding staff. We found the bed comfortable, and the room was well heated. Overall, a special place to stay.

It was a perfect place to stay for the both of us. Incredibly well priced and the staff and owners were amazingly helpful, welcoming and kind.

The room was clean and tidy, styled and furnished perfectly. Spacious. And exactly as stated on the site. Bathroom was spotless not a single thing to show other humans had been in there. Staff are amazing. Room was great value for money and location was ideal. We will be staying regularly. Very impressed. Felt very welcome and very comfortable. And amazed at how noise free the room was considering it was effectively on the state highway.

There was not a single thing we didn't like.

Bed was very comfortable and spacious, bathroom was clean, well appointed with a good shower, kitchen facilities were excellent, tv was excellent with access to CNN, some Sky movies, History and National Geographic and other Sky channels.

Did not affect us on this stay but previously when we were in an upstairs unit the road noise was loud through the night (I asked for a different unit for this stay and this was arranged), also there was a safety issue with a metal plate outside the lift on the top floor

I had asked to be allowed into my room earlier. The lady rang me on Friday and said that was fine 12pm onwards. I arrived at 1pm, finally found reception, and rang the 1st number twice 0273472328 wrong number! I rang the 2 number, got an extremely tired grumpy lady in her dressing gown, gave me the milk and keys and grunted!

The property was easy to find, rooms where well presented and the receptionist very friendly and gave us plenty of information about the area. Plenty of eating places close by and walked to them. Found a good coffee place near by within a 10 minutes walk. Surprising town expanding at a very quick rate. Was great to have a place to stay when travelling from the south and not have to tackle the Christchurch traffic in the late afternoon.

The breakfast was really tasty and delicious. I really liked the location. The coffee in the unit was really nice. The hand wash by the basin in the bathroom was also really nice to use. I really enjoyed my stay and the environment.

There's nothing that could have been better. I really enjoyed my stay, the location and the environment. The supplies were also really good.
