Pateo Village

We stayed in room 101 which was close to reception. There is a big outdoor pool. Pool is 1.4 m at deep end so we were never out of our depth. There is a heated indoor pool 1.2m deep. This was perfect for later on in the day. There is also a jaccusi which runs at 15 min intervals. Pool bar had good snack menu and Sagres beer. We could bring our own beer to the sun loungers beside the pool if we wanted. We were on ground floor and could walk from the balcony to the pool. Bed was comfortable. There was also a front mini balcony where we could sit in the sunshine in the afternoon. TV had plenty of stations, some of them in english. AXN showed english speaking films (portugeuse subtitles). Cleaners were in most days. There is a tennis court with basketball and soccer nets. Bats and balls in reception. Also table tennis table and pool table which we didn't use. There is a small shop with few basic supplies. 100m down the hill is a medium sized supermarket. We went to centre of the Old Town most nights. Plenty of people in the pubs and we listened to a few live bands.

Pool bar shut at 5.30pm i think and the bar at reception was closed for the season. We were there in October. So we went down the town every day or evening for dinner and few drinks. About 15 mins walk downhill to the Old Town and taxi back (€6). There is a few bars on the way but we didn't stop in them. If you want to visit the New Town strip get a taxi. Its about 45 mins walk up and down hills. We did it once with a few rest breaks.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, newly renovated and super clean. Nice small resort, great value, all facilities are close to the apartment. Very chilled atmosphere with mix of couples, groups and families. A 15 min walk to old town, very steep hills coming home but using bolt or Uber is only 4 euro.

Shops and bar on site are overpriced, but that is common. Small cafe and supermarket 2 min walk outside apartments, much better value. The apartment we stayed in was brand new, not sure of the others.

The location was close to old town and other locations. I did have a car so to move around was easy.

WIFI was poor in the rooms. Appliances were outdated. Bathroom needs a full makeover. Beds need changing they were lumpy and the pillows were paper thin.

Exceptionally clean, Staff friendly and helpful, i cant complain on this but see below..

A little 'tired' the rooms, especially the bathroom in the apartment we stayed in...looks like its not had a refurbishment in 10 to 15 years at least. Also the bar and pool areas look a little dated. Think for the price paid you can find more modern facilities

Location was great and family loved their stay. Pools were fantastic and safe depth and eased my fear with my son. Staff were really helpful.

We unfortunately were placed in a room next to the snorer from hell!!! No fault of the resort but they really put a dent on a great holiday. Glad to get home for some sleep.

didn’t have breakfast, location a bit off the strip but a 15 min walk to the center

so perhaps the location or the ability of the staff to help us but overall good

Nothing….but the room could be up upgraded

Well maintained , friendly staff, quiet location

Let it self down with simple things like the pillows - small and thin - need bigger ones

- apartment was very clean and spacious (although they are very basic and bit old fashion) - quick access to swimming pool area (which was also very clean!) - very friendly staff - relaxed atmosphere

It was so clean,staff lovely and breakfast in cafe great.

The only thing I think it needs is music around the pool.Im not sa ying loud music just something to take edge of .Sure people do t want everyone hearing their conversations
