Blue Liberdade Hotel

the location was very good and the staffs were all awesome and very helpful. the room is so clean.

I know this is smaller size of the room and does not have a city view but the room I was assigned was literally no view , means the room has a window but the wall is right there , no sky or outside to look at , so felt a bit inside of closet or jail feeling. maybe if you are one person and only stay for 1 night would be ok. but we stayed 3 nights after a long trip from Africa so we wanted to relax in the room … it was so unpleasant stays and not happy what I paid for to get this room. But beside this , all aspects are great. just unfortunate that we were assigned the room… if not we really would loved our stay and would definitely come back.

Location Location Location. I stayed for a week with my son at the hotel. Just after booking the hotel the concierge service contacted us. They helped out with arranging activites When we arrived to the lovely hotel we were informed that the breakfast was included without extra cost. Very nice gesture. In the room a bottle of sparkling wine was waiting. The location of the hotel is superb. Close to everything We stayed in a deluxe twin room overlooking Rossi square. Totally soundproof. Blinds making it very dark So a very nice sleep The airconditioning had no problem keeping the room cool even though the outside temp was 39 degrees. Hotel is newly renovated and in perfect condition. We will definately come back.

Nothing A gym would be nice

The BEST HOTEL!!! I have traveled alone many times and I have stayed in many hotels in Europe and none compares to the Blue Liberdade hotel in Lisbon! Absolutely everything about the hotel was perfect, the location, the service, the size of the room, everything was always impeccable and I was especially surprised when they explained me that I had free coffee, water, wine and sweets every day at my disposal! Everything was amazing, but what impressed me the most was the staff, every person I interacted with was incredible, everyone helped me with information, advice and took the time to recommend the best tours, shops, activities…even one of the girls helped me get a reservation at the restaurant in front of the hotel which was always full with a queue to get in and when i asked for help the girl immediately got up, went to the restaurant herself, talked to the manager and got me a table for that very night, I couldn't believe it!! Thank you very much for making my trip to Lisbon a thousand times better than I could have ever imagined! I have already recommended the hotel to several people and it is 100% a fact that when I return to Portugal I will go to Lisbon and stay with you again!! I had never written a review before but this time I couldn't wait to get home to sit down and write how amazing my experience was!! I will remember Lisbon for many reasons, since it is a spectacular city and one of them will be because of this hotel! It should add that after Lisbon I went to other cities and the hotels I stayed in have no comparison, in fact I missed my stay in Lisbon! thank you so much!

I loved everything, there is nothing I dislike

I can highly recommend this hotel, after our recent 3 week stay here. We initially selected it because it’s extremely well located for out of town visitors, with a metro stop close by, plenty of restaurants in the area, and a taxi stand 2 blocks away. Our room was quiet and comfortable, with good beds, efficient temperature control, and a pillow “menu” so we could request the feather pillows we preferred. The breakfast room was well set up with a lovely buffet and selection of coffees. The entire staff was so welcoming and kind, we looked forward to chatting with them every day.

We would have liked more drawer or hanging space.

After arriving early from our fly from Newark Joao went out of his way to get as the room as soon as possible, we knew check in was after three so this was greatly appreciated. He was very friendly and helpful giving us tips or what to do around town. The room was small but cozy ,clean, with a balcony with a great view is st. Jorge castle. The bathroom clean and modern and i love how in Europa you don't have to wait for the water to warm up. the bed was comfortable and a good breakfast.location ,locationlocation. I'm the middle of everything!!!, Shopping is fantastic around , tram, subway and train station withing a block. The restaurant ( Pinocho) is is very good and well price too.the staff is wonderful, everybody, friendly and polite we will defenetly repeat!!. we set up pick up and return to airport and was well worth it, Joao Paulo was of great help and actually took us out for a private tour of Sintra,cabo de Roca and Cascais, it was well worth it .

Everything was wonderful

One of the best hotels I stayed in an European city so far. The location is great, right in the middle of the city center, right next to bus/train/metro station and at walking distance to the major attractions and a variety of restaurants and bars. The staff is very friendly and helpful. What impressed me the most was receiving a quite comprehensive list of attractions, restaurants and tour recommendations from the hotel a couple of days prior to our arrival. Also, when we arrived, there was a bottle of sparkling wine in the room and all drinks from the mini bar in the room were free and filled up every day. There is also free drinks and sweets at the reception. The room was clean and had everything we needed. But it was quite small, there is hardly space for your luggage etc. But since we were out and about for most of the time, so it didn't matter to us. Overall worth the money, I can absolutely recommend this place.

We didn’t take advantage of breakfast. The staff…everyone were outstanding: helpful,friendly, kind. We appreciated the water, tea, coffee availability after touring all day. The shower , linens and bedding are wonderful. The room was a little on the smaller size ( but didn’t spend that much time in room) but the larger bathroom size was greatly appreciated. The room & bath area had great natural light plus lots of desk and room lights within arms length of the bed. The location is perfect for walking everywhere and the car park is located just outside the front door( underground).

Possibly one of the best hotels I've stayed in and I've stayed in a lot. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and from the minute you complete your booking, they already contact you with the best recommendations of things to do in Lisbon. The location is absolutely fantastic and everything is walking distance from here. Things that made the stay really special - - Free coffee and pastel de nata at all times at the reception - Free water bottles and flavoured water (which tasted really good) at all time. - They sent a cute bottle of tawny port wine to the room. Sample size but very sweet - No external noises in the room and a window that completely blacks out - Free minibar - Really powerful high quality hair dryer! - Spacious bathroom

The size of the room is a bit small, and the twin beds are just two mattresses on the same bed, not separate beds. But this is a small thing compared to all the good things and I would definitely highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel is beautiful, almost in the same building with the famous pastel-de-nata bakery! The location is great, everything is close👌🏻 Rooms are clean and beautiful with nice furniture. Despite minor inconveniences I would definitely choose that place next time. It was a pure pleasure to be a guest there.

Breakfast did not have a big selection of choices, however you always can ask to cook something special for you. Other problem was that it was almost impossible to eat outside because of the beggars who comes right inside the eating area outside, probably some security there would help. The rooms were small but for couples and for the solo traveler it is fine. Also was irritated by some noise at night, probably the neighbor air condition. However every time I was too tired to tell about it, so can’t tell what was the reason of the noise, and do not know if other rooms had same problem.

I liked everything! The hotel is beautiful, it's very well located, and the people at reception are outstanding. To add some details for those thinking about making a decision: >> The rooms are on the smaller side but very comfortable. Bathroom has all the amenities you would need (expect toothbrush and toothpaste), mini-bar is complementary / free and offers water, soft drinks and beer, the room itself has a place to work (if you need to) and a good bed and pillows. >> The location could not be best. It's right in the heart of Lisbon so you are within walking distance of the main attractions. It is also 1.5 blocks away from the train station so you can take a trip to other key destinations within Portugal. >> The breakfast is good as well. In my case it was not included on the room fee, so I had to pay 15 euros if I wanted it. It had different options of beverages, pastries, fruit, juices, cheese, etc. >> The reception has complementary beverages that you can grab at any time and take to your room or take to go (including coffee, cappuccino, tee, bottled water, juices, etc.) >> The people at the reception are extraordinary. They were waiting for me with a map of the city, the recommended attractions per neighborhood, places to eat, etc. They were also extremely helpful with everything I needed during my stay and were ready to support my transfer to the airport if needed.
