Good location just out of the old part of City, good transport links close by, lovely friendly helpful staff, good architecture and decoration. good size rooms for a city location, outside pool and bar area.

PIGEONS!! Outside terrace area, pool side and bar area, they walk over the plates and cutlery of freshly laid tables and when a table is vacated by guests many descend on the table fighting over leftover bread still in the basket and any other scraps. I find it unbelievable that the management have not done something about it as surely this is a potential risk to guests health. Tell them to try Stop Bird Pro which is an electronic deterrent. The hotel standing alone would justify the room rate however in its location which is visually unappealing and with such poor road and footpath access, dilapidated buildings just across the narrow road it certainly does not.

A fascinating mixture of old and new architecture and design. the staff are engaging and helpful, the rooms are very well appointed and the outside space is really lovely, especially in the middle of the city.

The only thing that is odd is the breakfast. The plates are not necessarily what you are expecting and they tend to be served altogether or in random order. it is very expensive for what you actually end up eating.

Excellent location and great to have an outdoor pool - it’s on the roof but a decent size with a reasonable number of loungers and bar service. Delicious a la carte breakfast served on a pretty terrace. Room was comfortable and clean.

Not much to criticise at all but the concierge gave some inaccurate information. They were very pleasant and keen to help. There was a big event in Lisbon when we were there (World Youth Day with over a million visitors) so lots of road closures and some monuments closed etc so it was complicated. But we were given some inaccurate information on trams, where to get a taxi, monument openings etc. It didn’t matter and we had a great stay but this could be a bit slicker.

The location was excellent, just a short walk to the shops, restaurants and transport links. The hotel staff were very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very comfortable and was cleaned as often as we wanted. We chose to have breakfast and we were very pleased we did as it was delicious with lots of choice. We highly recommend this hotel, it was everything we wanted and more.

There was graffiti on the walls opposite the entrance to the hotel which detracted a little from the general feel of this wonderful boutique hotel.

The location was perfect, everything was close enough to walk to. The staff were outstanding! Nothing was too much trouble, noticeably Pedro on reception who arranged to have breakfast included every day. Fabio on the concierge who organised a private tour to Sintra with lunch on a beach nearby with a guide. Miguel in the restaurant every morning made sure we were well looked after too. The food was exceptional and the pool was a definite bonus with wonderful pool bar and staff.

My daughter and I stayed for 5 wonderful nights at this beautiful hotel. The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town and close to a railway station and tram station. The hotel has been sympathetically restored with original features, painted ceilings and marble staircases along with modern touches. It is absolutely fabulous. We liked the art work in the bedroom and around the hotel showing the various stages of the renovation. The staff were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. Fernando in the restaurant went beyond to ensure we had all we needed. Front of house staff and concierge were also extremely helpful. They made our stay very special. Food was of a high standard, with amazing breakfast. The peace of the roof top pool area, spa and indoor pool along with a gorgeous internal garden was perfect for relaxing after the hustle of the city beyond. Although this is a city centre hotel it is exceptionally quiet and tucked away. Fabulous.

This hotel is located very centrally in the old town, a few minutes walk to the beautiful main boulevard and it's luxury shops, and minutes to the main sights and destinations inside Lisbon, including the Castelo. The hotel features a sizeable outside pool with bar. The dining is excellent, and the breakfast courtyard and restaurant are lovely. Staff was very helpful during our stay and no request was too much.

There was nothing that we did not like about our stay here.

Great location in the city. Walkable to shops and restaurants. Friendly, courteous staff. Well appointed room. Nice shower and bathroom. Comfortable bed.. Lots of choices on the cable tv. Parking is so easy for travelers coming by car to Lisbon. Nice little welcome station for those arriving at the hotel.

No complaints. Some of the staff were not so knowledgeable about nearby shops and where to get a dessert after dinner but that is excusable. Maybe some photos in the on–line brochure was a bit deceiving, but this is not a big complaint.

Location, beautiful room/hotel, friendly staff and great value for money. I would return and recommend it to others.

The gym was a bit too small for a 5 star hotel The service is the restaurant/breakfast - nice staff but not well organised.

Good location, friendly staff, very comfortable room, well equipped and everything worked. We had asked when booking for a room in a quiet location in the hotel and we were given just that. Very pleased with that. Great choice for breakfast. Efficient check in and check out.

Although there was a coffee machine in the room it would have been good to have a kettle and tea bags/milk for making a cup of tea. The choice and quality of dishes at breakfast is fantastic but it would be helpful if the staff waited for guests to finish each course before bringing the next. At times we felt rushed and overwhelmed, with hot food arriving before we had finished our fruit or yoghurt dishes. Just waiting for guests to finish each course is all that is needed.
