Hotel Dublin

A simple but pleasant hotel, all rooms and corridors are newly painted, the room was large with a veranda (overlooking a courtyard not very pleasant but it is a large opening giving air), the bedding very comfortable and the marble bathroom very 70's but I like it very much, the cleaning very well done everything was clean. The waiter at reception was charming and available for any questions.

I had planned earplugs because in these old buildings there is no insulation and I was right because we hear all conversations and noises of doors coming from the corridor. The category of the hotel means that there are no bathroom products, no fridge (which is good to know when it's over 30°C) or a coffee machine in the room.

The room was nice and clean, staff (although mostly met the receptionists - namely Alcino, Paulo & Nelson), were very nice and friendly. Even the staff at the restaurant too friendly. Never met any of the cleaning staff, but have kept my room clean everyday. Decent sized room, had a TV, small refrigerator and also Safe available. All in all, value for money.

It's not that I did not like it, the Breakfast could have variety daily. It was the same everyday (just cheese and Ham). Was hoping someday to have bacon n eggs. But overall, a very decent breakfast to have. Another slight problem I had was before I had arrived I had enquired if there was Car Parking available and informed that there is. So had booked a car for my trip. But when I arrived was told by Hotel receptionist that there is no Car Parking available but the only place to park the car was in a Car Parking building nearby. This would have been expensive for me as would be charged by the hour. Hence I had to cancel my Car booking.

Hotel Dublin was an excellent choice for a brief 3 night working visit to Lisbon. The room had all advertised amenities, and although it was small, was very comfortable. The AC worked well and the temperature was good through the night. The morning breakfast provision was sound and staff were all polite and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend it to business visitors looking for somewhere affordable and authentic on a work trip to Lisbon.

The WiFi was temperamental. The safety deposit box in my room didn’t work, although the hotel did have good security and get very safe so I didn’t mind this so much. It would be good if breakfast could be served before 8am as the timing made it quite difficult to get to morning meetings.

The location of the hotel is perfect and central for Lisbon. You can stroll down Avenida da Liberdade to the main square and the River Tagus. All the main attractions like Barra Alta are on the way and Belém Tower is 45 mins if you are adventurous by electric scooter. If you do you will pass many places to stop by drink relax and eat. Or you can take a cab for 6-7 Euro and it takes 15-20 mins. Nelson on the front desk is very helpful

The showers and bathrooms could do with a little spruce up. The staff are friendly but you you have to accept its an old well established traditional building that has been running as a hotel for years. They make very good use of the space they have.

The location was perfect for what I wanted. I stayed in a room facing the main entrance and it was very bright. I enjoyed the breakfast, which could be more diverse but was enough. The place was very clean, and the clean smell while going up the stairs was very pleasant. The free wifi worked well in my room. This hotel provided good value for money, and I will consider it as an option for future stays.

I don't feel very comfortable with having to leave the room keys at the reception when leaving; this could be optional for guests which would like to do so. I would suggest adding a "do not disturb" sign to hang outside the room door.

The room was extremely clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was very good, the staff was friendly and the Hotel is located extremely close to the city center without being in a noisy neighbourhood. There was an Auchan market across the street to buy water if needed.

Nothing to complain about. Considering the location and price, this hotel was absolutely great, even though rooms are quite small.

I loved the breakfast, it was everything you needed to get your day started. Bed was comfortable and had a little balcony with my room. Staff were so lovely handed me my room key every time I arrived in form being out during the day without asking for the room number. Very friendly staff. Great location if you don't mind to walk around 30 minutes to get to centre.

The fact I didn't have a plug near the bed only the bathroom, as I forgot my plug 🔌

Nice hotel, good position, every touristic destination is within walking distance and the hotel is quite close to metro and buses. The room was nice and with plenty of space, the staff is really helpful and, in case you try to communicate with a staff member not able to speak English (e.g. breakfast or cleaning staff) they try their best to help you out, even using a translator to try to assist, and this deserves appreciation.

The breakfast is rather limited, especially the offer of non-sweet breakfast products, and the quality was just average. Moreover, the noise coming from the street at night is quite noticeable, since there are quite some bars and restaurants nearby, and the rooms' acoustic insulation is a bit poor.

-6 n at single room, although its small it has everything in. - bed is very comfortable and big for single. - wifi work great - breakfast, simple but sufficient. - high ceilings - room cleaned everyday. - storage room and bathroom at the check out.

- room looks inner courtyard where all the aircondition vantilators are. I was in May there but in hot summer this can be noisy and dangerous to open windows. - people hitting doors, or in the morning kitchen noise can be heard at rooms nearby the stairs. - small kettle would be great to have in the room.

The room is bigger than I expected, the room is quite newly renovated, everything worked while I was there, such as Airco that I needed during my stay. It was also calm and quiet. So, overall I am satisfied.

It’s not that I don’t like, just a little advice for improvement in the future, which is the breakfast should be more varied. That’s all.
