Hotel Marques De Pombal

We got great value for the price paid. Our room rate included breakfast which was not spectacular but overall quite good with very well sliced fresh fruit (especially the pineapple) and a large selection of Nespresso coffees to choose from. Location of the hotel close to Marques de Pombal metro station and nearby bus stops just couldn't be better

Despite the fact that we had a high room on the seventh floor there was still some street noise. Also the temperature control in the room was rather difficult to adjust; it was or too hot or it was too cold in tghe room

It's not that I did not like ..I just feel that the breakfast was not up to standard for a 4 star hotel ..I have stayed at numerous 4 and 5 star hotels ...and unfortunately this hotel did not meet the standard

Great location within walking distance from everything. Very comfortable rooms great. breakfast and service. We had a little birthday surprise at our room, a champagne bottle with pastries. Overall I would recommend it and would come back when I return to Lisbon.

All was great except there was a football celebration in the square in front of the hotel and access was blocked in the whole city. We had to walk for 20 minutes with our luggage because the taxi could not reach the hotel. A quick message from the hotel before arrival would have been nice to keep us informed of this and maybe an offer to help us since I was traveling with my 75 year old mom and pushing the luggage on the streets was not ideal.

The breakfast was not very rich as expected for 4* hotel.

This hotel is located (in my opinion) in the best location. Placa Marques de Pombal nearby is a busy intersection with lots of buses coming and going. There's a direct bus from airport that takes maybe 20 minutes to get there. Marques de Pombal is also a metro station and if you don't mind walking for 20 minutes, you can reach some of the Lisbon's sights easily on foot (like the Santa Justa elevator for example). There are also some nice restaurants in the vicinity and if you happen to don't like Honest Green's then there's McDonald's at the Placa. The hotel itself is pretty nice and rooms were clean. No problem with the wifi. My room was facing inside the atrium and was therefore very quiet. The busy roundabout is still a block or two away and also it's not as busy in the in the night so I would assume that even rooms facing street are quite quiet in the night. Plus there are heavy curtains that can block out the light and sound. I was leaving very early in the morning and the hotel had a taxi to the airport arranged for me which I appreciated (it was not free of course). I would most likely book again when traveling to Lisbon

would be more accurate if the hotel is informed by booking.com that the room is paid for. I got charged €152 at the desk while the accommodation was paid in advance. was sorted quick.

We were asked if we wanted a quiet room and we got one with only one neighbour. The room was better than we expected, very clean and well maintained. Great view out into the city street. Breakfast very good, staff helpful and attentive.

The person on the reception on our arrival had a heavy cold and was dealing with paperwork our passports etc. Not vey pleasant in Covid times. No other criticism, everything was good.

Excellent location. Very central with easy access by metro to ther parts of the city. Staff warm, friendly and very helpful. Room a good size, with all facilities, very clean, comfortable bed. The Bar and restaurant was very good with a good atmosphere, comfortable seating and attentive staff. We had a very good dinner on our first night. Good wine list too

The bedroom and bathroom decor is a little ‘tired’ and somewhat ‘scuffed’ in places. A good and powerful shower in the bathroom let down by an inadequate shower screen that left the floor very wet, for example, Very few plug sockets in the bedroom to use to charge phones and other devices.

Situated in a lovely area of Lisbon. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. The staff were very friendly and we are incredibly grateful for all their help over a period of days even after we’d checked out with reuniting us with our luggage. Sadly it hadn’t arrived at the airport at the same time as us and the staff were good enough to take our bags in as they arrived over a period of days, calling to let us know it had arrived. It took so much pressure off of us and we can’t thank them enough.
