The hotel serves excellent quality for accomdation and food. Breakfast is super super good. Beyond the expectations. Rooms are newly decorated and there is a fon machine in the bathroom( not a hair dryer but a real hair styling fon). Location of the hotel is perfect just above the douro river.

There is a roof pool on the sixth floor. It can be decorated better ( more sunbeds, a fridge for drinks, some plants, and a parasol).. the hotel is on the cliff and getting to river side is via climbing/ going down stairs.. there is no information about this requirement on the hotels web page for people who xan not use this route.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. A special mention for João, who makes excellent cocktails! We spent a rainy afternoon challenging his cocktail knowledge and he met the challenge! Room was large and comfortable. Bathroom and shower good. Coffee/tea facilities in the room. Breakfast was very good - lots of choice and the kitchen makes omelettes, etc to order. The garden area was peaceful and comfortable. We enjoyed drinks out there several times. Reception team are very helpful and friendly.

The pool! I booked this hotel because it had a roof pool. Actually, it's only about 30cm deep and very small. Difficult to get in and out for people with mobility issues. There was bird mess all around the edges of the pool, and only 6 sunbeds, one of which was broken. Very disappointed! The restaurant had a limited range of food and it was quite expensive. The location is slightly away from the centre and there's not much around it to buy bottled water and snacks. About a 7-10 min walk to restaurants and shops.

The location. It might look some distance away from the Ribeira which is a good thing because the squares just around the hotel are less expensive but just as good if not better. It's an easy walk from the hotel to the funicular to take you down to the riverfront and also to the nearby squares with their street cafes. Unlike the hotels around the Ribeira there are no steep climbs to either go to or get back from the tourist areas and restaurants. The infinity pool on the top floor is superb. Deep enough to swim in but also shallow enough just to loll about in. The bed was super king and very comfortable. The balcony took some beating for its views and size. All staff were very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent. We had a couple of meals in the hotel and they too were excellent. Tip: Pay that little bit extra for a room with a balcony and if available go for room 502. Unlike the old hotels in the Ribeira district this is a more modern hotel and this is very apparent with the roomier layout at reception and in the other public areas. It has an excellent garden too. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The bed was pretty hard. The buffet area for breakfast was very small and therefore crowded. A minor complaint but it bothered me that I was either waiting to select food or almost bumping into people.

This hotel had parking right next to the hotel which was very convenient since we had a rental car. The location was great because it was easy to drive into, being just on the outskirts of the city center and the river walk. We don't mind walking and it was less than a 5 minute walk to the Ponte de Dom Luis I bridge and the funicular that would take you down to the river level and back up. The restaurant food was good, but the service was very slow for lunch and dinner. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. They also gave us a complimentary port pouring which was lovely.

Our air conditioner was very noisy for some reason. It sounded like the hot water when it boils in the coffee pot. They asked us if we had complained but we just figured that's the way the AC sounds in the rooms. Maybe other rooms didn't have that issue.

Honestly, this hotel has exceeded our expectations. The staff was great, the rooms clean, spacious and modern. The pool on top of the building was amazing. We also had dinner in the hotel restaurant, and we would like to say thanks to all the staff for the impeccable service. The food itself was really good also. The free port on arrival was a nice touch. There is a nice backyard to relax after a long day touring the city.

There was nothing to dislike. If anything, the hotel breakfast might be just a little expensive.

location, friendly staff and extra services. The hotel is great in every aspect. it’s 5-20min walk to major attractions and busy areas with restaurants. The cathedral was 5 min walk. The staff was super friendly. The airline lost my baggage and the front deck staff followed up for 2 days. I’m a manner of NH, and when I arrived, they offered me welcome port drink and there were cheese and meat plate in the room. The hotel has fresh mint water and icetea in the lobby for free. There is a restaurant and small bar for drink. I’ll stay again next time when I visit Porto.

We did not have breakfast we had lunch on the last day and it was superb,, The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic time. The hotel was clean and had all the facilities that we required, pool was amazing

There was nothing to dislike, the front desk sorted our excursions and supplied maps and general information. Great value for money, maybe bottles water could be supplied on a daily basis.

LOATION OF HOTEL IS JUST OUTSIDE THE CENTRAL BUSTLE AND OUR ROOM WITH TERRACE AT THE BACK (ie not roadside) OF THE HOTEL WAS UNUSUALLY QUIET - GOOD SLEEPING ALL ROUND. BREAKFAST GOOD INCLUDING COFFEE FROM A MACHINE.

POOL ON ROOF IS JUST A COOL LOOK. IT'S ONLY 30CM DEEP SO NO SWIMMING. I'M AFRAID THE TWO DINNERS WE HAD WERE ONLY MEDIOCRE AT BEST. LOADS OF PLACES TO EAT OUT HOWEVER. COULD HAVE DONE WITH A SUN UMRELLA ON OUR TERRACE

Beautiful modern rooms with lovely bathrooms. Well lit, comfortable bathrooms and extremely helpful staff. Delicious breakfast buffet with many items to choose from. Fast efficient elevators. Beautiful outdoor space with lounge furniture, sun umbrellas keep you cool and a few outdoor dining tables to enjoy your food outside. We enjoyed a drink from the bar one evening and bar tender suggested some delicious wine for us at 5 Euro per glass. Location is perfect for us, just an easy 12 to 15 minutes walk to the old town filled with historic monuments, buildings and great bars and restaurants.

We would have considered eating dinner in the hotel one night, but pricing seemed high when comparing to other restaurants that we had gone to previous evenings.
