Review Will definitely remember it as one of my favorites. Top service, extremely nice and kind team, the welcoming was extraordinary and the atmosphere was amazing. Room was very spacious and clean, beautiful fine modern design. Breakfast was great and varied. Also much enjoyed a massage treatment, was very good and professional. Although did not visit the spa itself. But must warn the ladies: We had only one mirror- the one on top of the sink which was waist and up only and very dim lights. My wife could not get dressed or do her makeup properly, she had to use her iPhone camera to get ready and it was inconvenient and frustrating. At our first day reached out to reception staff asking if there’s any other room available that contains a proper mirror and unfortunately the only room offered that was the executive suite which was triple than our room rate and way out of our budget.

location - situated in the middle of Barcelona’s shopping district and walking distance within many restaurants to choose from staff - absolutely friendly, helpful and thoughtful. My hubby had left his jacket in a cab the hotel help ordered for our journey to the train station. We called the hotel immediately and they promptly reached out to the driver to retrieve the jacket and sent it to our hotel in Madrid the next day. The check in staff also had noticed that I had checked in on my birthday and they arranged for a bottle of champagne to be delivered to our room. cleanliness - housekeeping came by 2-3 times a day and replenished our toiletries and water regularly breakfast - Hotel breakfast was amazing: a variety of pastries, cheeses and ham to choose from. cereals and fruits too. all food was freshly prepared and you can also choose hot food from the menu (part of the breakfast with no additional charges). The churros are my favourite ! we will definitely return !

What is there not to like about this hotel, staff were super friendly and helpful. Very welcoming. The rooms were specious and clean, the beds were so comfortable. The mini bar is free, so unlike most places in Europe, water bottles are provided free of charge and always available. Very stylish hotel in a very classy and wonderful location. I cannot wait to go back.

My one and only comment is about the shower rooms, there were no doors in either rooms. After taking a shower the whole bathroom space was wet and that could be prevented by adding a shower door.

Liked the garden, room was comfortable.

We were offered a welcome drink. We went to the bar and ordered a drink. It was on our bill and was told they meant only coffee or tea. That wasn't clear and feel they should have taken it off the bill for their error. When you say drink, be specific because most people would assume a drink means a cocktail. Also getting charged for a small bowl of chips in the bar is ridiculous as well. The pool area does not have a good feel. The ceiling was dirty cement and dirty towels were laying everywhere.

If you are looking for a hotel with style, great food, good proximity to most sight-seeing, and excellent staff, the Alma Barcelona is a great option. The Alma is located very close to many of the best restaurants and great shopping. Transportation (Sight-seeing buses, taxi) is very accessible from the location. The staff at the Alma were extremely helpful with directions, recommendations, and overall very pleasant to deal with. The room was very clean and the decor was very up to date. They also offer a wonderful breakfast at no additional cost.

I had to upgrade my room as the original reservation was for 2 people and there were 3 of us. They would not add a portable bed to the original room as they indicated the room was too small. The upgraded room was very lovely.

Breakfast was very good in terms of food and beverage offers, location is excellent, check in and check out service is excelent, room is very clean and have a good size and is well equiped

Service at breakfast decreased in quality from day one to day three, and the last breakfast service was poor (we asked twice for orange juice that never came, we asked twice for espresso coffee that also never came, we left without having both)

The hot options at breakfast (eggs Benedict, omelette etc) were a bit basic for the standard of this hotel. However, the cold food was of excellent quality, as well as the juices, so I actually really enjoyed the breakfast in the garden every morning. The indoor swimming pool was a bit too cold for me so I didn't swim

Breakfasts are superb! We wanted to visit some Gaudi buildings. There are two great ones within ten minutes walk of the hotel: La Perdrera and the Batllo. La Familia Sagrada is only twenty minutes walk, too. Our room was very comfortable. We shall stay here again.

Great location, fantastic service, elegant and modern hotel yet still cosy. Super low key and a very subtle entrance which is a nice touch. The welcome is always a warm one and check-in comes with a beverage of your choice, no complaints here with a refreshing glass of cava.

Nothing, they always go above and beyond here. I left an item in my room on check-out, once I realised this, I called the hotel. My call was answered straight away, no call centre, no silly hold music. The item was located quickly and was in reception waiting for me within minutes.

Modern rooms and amazing set up and furniture. Excellent location and the staff were lovely.

Lighting in the rooms were difficult to work with. I’m a bride and getting hair and make up was difficult. i understand the contemporary style but the rooms are not very well lit.
