Hotel Regina

Super great location near Plaza del Catalunya, Aerobus ( Shuttlebus from airport close to hotel) Our double twin room with balcony was spacious, clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows comfortable too. The personnel/ staff at the reception and at the breakfast place were all very friendly, smiling and helpful. We got some great recommendations for restaurants by Sergio and a sweet lady that we unfortunately didn’t get the name. The hospitality and friendliness of the Staff, the location, the cleanliness of this hotel are top!

actually a minor thing: the breakfast was good and fine though it was repetitive so I wish it had some more selection or changes. but it has delicious coffee options you order it by the waiter and they make it after your wish. So if their breakfast could be a little more versatile it would be even more perfect and adding more pork free salamis and lactose free cheese. the balcony- it’s actually really very tiny and with only one chair. if you want to use it it could be nice to have an extra chair. but honestly we didn’t use our balcony.

Bravo to the efficient, helpful and polite staff that made you feel like at home away from home (Juan, Maeva, Ruben, Hayat and colleagues). Keep up the good work! Excellent location close to everything (Plaça Catalunya, La Rambla, metro, taxi line, supermarket, restaurants, shops, nail salons, etc.). Very good breakfast with freshly squeezed orange juice, made to order eggs, coffee and bread. Fluffy white bath towels and 2 types of shower (forest rain and ring like). Will certainly stay here again when returning to Barcelona.

We were located in the first floor (room 104) and it was noisy after 8 pm. Noise was coming from the street and from the hallway. Bath didn't have ventilation. Bath didn't have toilet brush.

Perfect location, in the centre of Barcelona, close to Metro lines 2 and 3. Super helpful and friendly receptionists, who speak very good English. Daily cleaning of the room and good breakfast. We loved the fresh fruit juices.

Lack of decoration and ambience in the room. You can hear every cough and toilet flush from the neighbouring rooms, so using earplugs is recommended, especially if you're a light sleeper. Our bathroom door was a bit worn and had some small stain spots too. Only one of the catering staff spoke good enough English. Breakfast is good, but the scambled eggs could do with a bit more salt and spices.

Hotel Regina is absolutely beautiful. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Our room was really big with a beautiful bathroom. It is also centrally located just off La Ramblas but also tucked away on a quiet street for a comfortable stay. There is a Starbucks downstairs as well as supermarket across the street. We also found the taxi rank in front to be super convenient also. We really loved our stay and will stay again!

Our room didn’t have a control for the air conditioning and it was freezing all the time. We also found the bed to be small for two people - it was a double bed and would’ve loved a queen.

Breakfast was served in a lovely dining room off the lobby. The food was excellent with good variety of hot and cold foods. The staff were helpful and attentive to keeping items fresh and well-stocked. The front desk staff were very helpful with suggestions for things to do and see. Since we only had one day to see the city, we took the hop on/ hop off bus tour. It was very close by to pick up and easy to get on and off to visit various interesting sites. Our favorite tapas restaurant experience was the white wine sangria. It's light and very refreshing. Keep in mind that you can't get it by the glass. It comes in one or one half liters.

Getting the hang of ordering from the tapas restaurants is challenging. Overall, the food was good if somewhat unexpected.

We stayed at Hotel Regina for 2 nights as a family of four. I would highly recommend and will definitely stay on my next visit - the location was great, close to Las Ramblas and shopping at Placa de Catalunya. It was incredibly serene despite being a central location. The room was a great size (by European standards for a city!) and comfortable. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The decor was minimalist and modern, everything was very well chosen and looked-after, from the pretty maps in the reception/lift lobby to the terrace off the breakfast restaurant with beautiful plants. Really gorgeous hotel. The check-in and out was smooth and staff were kind and friendly. The breakfast was a good selection of cooked, continental and healthy options. Superb quality for a 4 star hotel, great job.

My family and I stayed at Hotel Regina a few years ago and liked it so much we decided to stay there again. We really loved the location. It's so close to many places for sightseeing. The hotel is clean, comfortable and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Mikha was especially helpful with advice on where to eat, and with my dad who has mobility issues.

The elevators are small. I feel that is a common thing in Europe anyway. We got up and down just fine, even with my dad's transport chair.

I would like a middle sized towel for drying hair others too big or too small 2 pieces of bread for coeliacs at breakfast please! one is not enough especially as there unlimited pastries and bread available for everyone else

The breakfast buffet was excellent, good variety of foods and excellent quality. Service from the available staff was very courteous and efficient. We checked in before the room was ready and left our bags in reception to explore Barcelona and when we came back in the evening, they had already taken them to our room. For our stay, we upgraded to a room with a balcony that had a great view of the nearby area and it was surprisingly quiet.

These are minor things but the room could have been a bit bigger and having more surface area in the washroom sink for toiletries would have made it a lot more convenient.
