Hotel Miramar Barcelona GL

I LOVED the fact that the hotel was away from the touristy hustle of Barcelona and the views were fabulous. The environment was relaxing and idyllic and I truly enjoyed the outdoor pool

The floor of the pool needs an automatic daily cleaner moving around- was very dirty. ( I used the lap portion every day) . Some doorknobs and such were not working, wood was scuffed and the details looked like they could use updating but that was clearly overcome by the design and location of the hotel and the size of rooms being very generous. the spa could use updating as well including steam rooms and jacuzzi

The hotel was beautiful and all of the staff were so lovely and professional. The facilities were great, we had a massage at the spa which was amazing.

Wish the outdoor pool was slightly cleaner!

Bar staff (main Bar and pool bar) were friendly but understaffed-we used each bar once and both times we had to go back 3 times over a 20 min period to ask if the drinks were coming.

The location of the hotel was superb. it’s high above the city with amazing views. Loved sitting in the bar in the evening enjoying the view. The pool is great. A real antidote to the hussle and hussle of Barcelona. My son and I loved lounging around the pool in the bathrobes.

Although I loved the location be aware that’s it’s not in the centre of the city so not necessarily for all. It’s less than 10 euro to catch a taxi down the hill to the port or Las Ramblas though. There’s a free standing bath in the room and the shower and loo are on ffbthe main room. This seems to be a thing in Barcelona hotels. May want to be aware if you’re off for a romantic break with a new partner!

The area is great for being away from the hustle of the city. A short walk up the hill gets you away from it all with amazing views from the terraced rooms.

We had no hot water in the room in a four night stay. This was brought to their attention the first morning but nothing was done to rectify the issue. We paid for a room with a nice bath but were not able to use it for the lack of hot water so cold showers were the only option. The pool and pool area lacks upkeep. The pool is wall to wall algae and the deck is in a dangerous state of disrepair.

We loved the surrounding space, rooms are great, nice gardens,nice pool, friendly staff, food, location, and overall vibe. It's a great looking hotel, you can forget you are close to the city centre which is rare in city hotels. It just has a few minor things that didn't work for me and probably other guests that could be cheaply and easily fixed.

Gluten free bread was an awful lump of hard wood for which I had to wait ages at breakfast although I enquired about this before arriving so there was no surprise it will be needed. Gym is so badly maintained. It's OK but one treadmill dost work, half of dumbells is missing so heaviest is 5kg or so, and the only weight machine is half broken, also there was a lack of towels and water there. Just few more large dumbells and some maintenance and it would be a decent hotel gym. Also tv-phone netflix/ u tube streaming is pretty much standard now in most hotels but sadly not here,

The view was really nice, and the room was very large and tidy. The balcony was really spacious too, although I hardly used it. The restaurant was good, and the gym had most things I needed.

The pool was pretty small, and got quite busy. I went a few times and there weren't enough beds, so had to go somewhere else. There also wasn't an extraction fan in the bathroom, so when I had a shower, the whole place got really steamy - not terrible, but it's a small negative. Lastly, the location of the hotel is fairly well removed from the rest of Barcelona. Expect to walk at least 15 minutes to get anywhere.

staff were a bit disorganised room didn’t have a view cleaning staff threw away another couples possessions treating them as rubbish - and when front desk challenged said should’ve been put in the safe ! laughable
