Onix Rambla

The rooms were nicely air conditioned and faced beautiful old buildings. Close to a lot of restaurants and patios, but just far enough away from the business of La Rambla. We really enjoyed using the roof top pool everyday. Most of the staff were very helpful and friendly.

One staff member was rude and unwilling to help me find a nice place to get a coffee. He seemed impatient and unfriendly throughout the whole trip. I was not pleased to see him training a new employee, hopefully the trainee learns from all of the really friendly other employees!

Location was incredible, so much closer to everything than we expected. We got the aero bus to and from the airport which dropped us off in the main square- a 5 minute walk from the hotel. The roof top pool was a bonus and perfect temperature to cool off after a busy day. Staff were great, especially one man who helped with recommendations and was so friendly- we were also able to drop our bags off when we arrived in the morning so we could go an explore before check in. Room was a decent size and exactly what we needed for three friends. Truly couldn’t fault this hotel and would definitely use if I come to Barcelona again, great value for money.

The location of this hotel is superb, we feel inside the life of Barcelona, and it has great restaurants right on the doorstep, and even a small supermarket next door. There are no words for the friendliness of the staff, they were absolutely fantastic and extremely helpful.

We chose a stay without breakfast, and we found the price (11 euros) a bit expensive, so we opted to go to a small bakery 2 minutes away on foot that has a great breakfast at a good price.

I liked all. Location, facilities, staff. All was excellent, just as expected for the price I paid.

I did not dislike anything. However, one should note that the pool and the gym are small. The room and the facilities are not great for teleworking. I will probably return there, and I will choose a room in the back court (more quiet and cheaper). My room on the 4th floor with balcony was gorgeous for the first time you go thee. Nonetheless it risks being too noise for an average person and it is unhealthy to sleep with the air conditioning on.

Perfectly located to access all the best of Barcelona. Walking distance to fantastic bars, restaurants, nightlife, shops, incredible Gaudi buildings, museums, art galleries, parks, metro, buses. Great reception staff, lush plunge pool on the roof terrace. Staff looked after our bagson the last day so we could get an extra day of sightseeing. Honestly this hotel is a gem, fully recommend it and would stay here again.

Perhaps a continental breakfast option would have been nice, happy to pay extra for it, but the free tea and coffee was nice. Maybe a kettle and tea/coffee in the room would have been good for UK visitors.

The room was spacious and clean and modern. It was a very safe location and also so easy to use the subway from here. We were always happy to return to our nice room at the Onix. It had a refrigerator and a safe. It had a nice shower and tub and a hair dryer. There was an elevator but we also enjoyed the stairs. We also had a nice balcony. Plaza Catalunya was very close. I would highly recommend this hotel. The workers were very helpful and friendly.

My only problem was that we had to pay in advance and their website did not want to accept our credit card. Finally after many tries, it was accepted.

Our twin, Rambla faced room was spacious, the bathroom was also big and comfortable (even with a bidet). On the 1st floor there was a coffee machine for tea and coffee, which we used every evening (so no kettle at the room). Our room faced a big street with restaurants and shops and wasn't very quiet, but it was not bothering. The location is perfect for the shopping experience, as all the shops can be found around and on the next street. Placa Catalunia is also very close - 4 mins by taxi (we took a comfortable bus from ther to the airport). The single beds are big and comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly.

There is always a big puddle on the floor after taking a shower. That's always frustrating. No breakfast at the hotel and the person at the reception could not advise us a decent place for breakfast. But we found an excelent place at 10 mins walking distance. No balcony at the room. Just beware that the payment is proceeded by the hotel, not the booking.com (you will get a message with a link from the hotel).

The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is small but great to relax and take a break, specially from the heat and the busy schedule. The location is fantastic, really close to all tourist attractions and main streets.

During check-in I spoke to two staff at the reception, one was extremely nice and helpful, the other was really rude and not very helpful. I made a mistake and booked the room for 2 and we were 3 and she implied I was trying to scam them, which I was not.

Even tho the hotel was located by a street with many people and loud noises, you cut almost not here anything if you just closed the window and for. The location was perfect, a long walk to the beach. But it was in centrum of everything else. Very nice that we could get all kind off coffee, hot water, hot chocolate and milk all time of the day/night.

The pool area was very small, with only 6 sun beds, didn’t look as small at the pictures when we booked it.

The hotel is in an excellent location, really near to a metro station and the airport bus stop. The room I had was really big, and had a lovely view over the main street, which felt safe to walk on late at night. Whilst the aircon wasn't powerful in the room, once it had been on for a while it did cool the room down and was quiet enough that you could sleep with it on. Very light sleepers might want earplugs though. There are loads of place to eat right on your doorstep, which is good seeing that there is no breakfast at the hotel.

For the price I paid, it would have been nice to have the option of breakfast, but there are places close by to get something.
