AC Hotel San Cugat by Marriott

The hotel is very comfortable for staying in case of business trips for the companies surrounded by this hotel. Otherwise it is too far from Barcelona. The hotel is nice, modern and clean.

I am not sure if this is because of booking via Booking, but we got the rooms at the end with the view to trash. While at the booking it was the view to the swimming pool. And the hotel was not overbooked. Furthermore, we wanted to make check out the night before, but it was not possible but I have to say, that the receptionist had the bill ready at 4 AM when we have been leaving.

Cleanliness, service.

Breakfast was basic, too lean: few cherry tomatoes, no dressing no salads, no cream cheese. Only hard boiled eggs, no other option. We had to check out at 7am for the flight - but kitchen opened on Sunday @07:30, so no breakfast (or even a sandwich) for us. Located on a business area - no restaurants or any other store in the vicinity.

The rooms have a good size, it was clean and comfortable.

The room was very cold and the heating system had a permanent noise while on. Something to consider is that the hotel is located in a town next to Barcelona, it takes about 40 minutes to get to the city center (Plaza Cataluña) in a very good train which station is a 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There are no shops, supermarkets or stores near the hotel, the closest option is a mall about 10 minutes away in a cab.

Nice and quiet base for weekend sightseeing of Barcelona. The room was nicely big, so was the bed (too soft fot my touch however;-) ). Room and bathroom was very clean and well equipped. Efficent check in and check out. Lovely (and deep) pool just outside the restaurant.

The beds were very soft - it's great if it is your preference though ;-) On the departure day we were leaving just before the breakfast (it was already prepared) we could not get anything for takeaway. Only after intervention of the shift manager we got some croissants and coffee.

The breakfast was good. But it could be different from one day to another considering people who stays more than one night. I would add more fruits also. Location is a bit far from the center so it might be helpful to have a service to pick up from the airport.

Gym didn't have many machines and enough space. Location a bit far.

the staff were really friendly and helpful. the facilities were really clean and the area was very safe

our room was left open and unlocked by cleaners and we weren’t advised the pool was shut during may and that was one of main reasons we booked this accommodation

the view from the room, the room design, very friendly staff , huge swimming pool, great location, super closed to the train station, sun bathing next to the pool watching the green tree and listening to the natural birds and insects noise is just simply awesome!!

the swimming pool seems to be lack of maintenance, a bit dirty inside the pool ground, and the water with a bit natural dust and leaves, the grass around the pool seems to be not taken care of for quite some time, probably due to covid ?!

location near a station for access to city centre in 30 mins Rooms very nice. outdoor pool most welcome breakfast at €14 was good

Food available in evening poor Night staff not as keen and helpful as daytime.

Very nice clean big room, equipped with tea, coffee machines. Cleaning air device. Bath accessories.

Breakfast is poor. Small variety of food and the same everyday day. Fried eggs on request. Good coffee. Small cups for tea.

Easy for Metro. Clean, airy, lovely pool

One member of staff in the restuarant, an older lady was bad tempered and rude when asked if we could have a coffee. A friend had the same reaction when she asked if she could fill her water bottle up for her.
