Hotel Venture Sant Cugat

Very clean. Very well managed. The air-conditioning was very good as well and they also had a fridge in the room which was very useful. The location was very convenient and the general area was lovely. 30 minutes to get into the centre via 1 train so that was very useful. We had a little issue with the breakfast when we arrived, however Laura one of the staff members sorted this out for us and she was very empathetic and understanding. We really appreciate her help. The breakfast was very well made and genuinely delicious. Overall a very lovely place to stay and really good value for money.

Very nice view from window to some rock. We had 3rd floor. Staff is friendly and always helped. They can book a taxi to the Airport, it will cost you around 55-70 EUR. We went to the airport at 3 o'clock at night, if your flight is also early, then plan to go to the airport at this time only 20-25 minutes, very quickly. Near the hotel is train station Volpelleres. From here you can reach Barcelona Plaça Catalunya in 35 minutes. Also near the station is nice small supermarket Mercadona. There is small fridge in the room, so you can buy beverages or something else you want. On the left hand when you leave the hotel, there is a very interesting large Mercantic flea market. There are many antiques and several cafes. This is nice hotel for reasonable price. We have chosen this hotel due to proximity to Barcelona. BUT, station Volpelleres is not the ZONE 1 it's 2C, despite some official FGC Train company pages it showed as ZONE 1. So you need to take this in mind when buying tickets. We had Hola Barcelona card for 5 days and it's great for city center, you can use any type of transport unlimited inside this 5 days. To get to the hotel you need another ticket, because Hola Barcelona card won't let you out from the station at Volpelleres, and you can't buy ticket at that station because ticket machine is located behind the turnstiles. You can buy Family card for 8 rides or another suitable option, tmb.cat website is what you need. You can't use single personal card for 2 people, you will be fined.

The breakfast was a bit scanty for us. We are used to the fact that in European hotels they usually offer muesli/granola, oatmeal, green salads. This hotel has only sweet pastries, several types of bread, cheese, Jamon, smoky salmon and eggs and some fruits. All products are good, but sandwiches are not what we are used to eating in the morning. We lacked fibre.

We were there to go to the Bruice Springsteen concert in Barcelona. The train station was very close and the trip into Barcelone was painless. I can really recomended this hotel for visits to Barcelona as its cheap and easy to get into town from there, and you avoid all the hassel of getting to a Barcelona hotel. Plus there is a supermarket right next to the hotel and a number of great restaurants. The local town is also worth strolling around. The staff were great and helped us with the trains etc. Also secure parking for the motorbike another big plus point.

The coffee in the restaurant was not good, other than that I would say its perfect.

We stayed in the hotel to attend a concert in Barcelona. The hotel was easy to find and very easy to travel using the Metro to the city. We didn't eat in the hotel because there are various nice places to have breakfast near to the hotel. The antique market a few hundred meters away is great to wander around. Hotel very clean and parking under the hotel free.

The only negative thing was the view from our room which was facing a building. It wasn't a massive problem and not everyone can have a nice view!

The staff is friendly and supportive and highly professional. The food is nice as well. The location of the Hotel is near the sant cugat city centre 20 min walk and near the sant cugat downtown a 15 min walk which made it really convinient for me. The food store is just at the corner and the restaurant is cross the street. The staff are clean and well trained and always welcoming and smiling

Family living 15 minutes walk away. Also 10 minute walk to Train station giving quick access to Barcelona. Old Town of Sant Cugat just 20 minutes walk. More restaurants appearing in the area over the years we have been visiting.

Brits do like a tea tray and kettle in the room. !! This has never been supplied in six years of visiting.

The hotel is well located for my business trip. It's comfortable and had a good breakfast. There evening menu isn't large but the food is good.

The location is a little way out of the main town but then it's only a 20 minute walk and well worth it. The location on a roundabout can mean it's noisy at some times of the day

Excellent breakfast. Free parking in the garage. Helpful professional staff. We were offered help to carry language up the stairs as elevators didn’t work.

Some mold in the shower. Elevator didn’t work when we arrived. It was repaired next day.

Easy to take train ride to Barcelona and close to local shops and supermarket, clean, with under counter fridge, the place is quiet.

No kettle nor tea or coffee provided to the room; and breakfast with little option and expensive.

we’ve stayed there before and loved it. it’s very clean staff are great and a great market/venue next door. beds and pillows are excellent too

the only thing this time was the room smelt of stale smoke we did ask receptionist if we could have a non smoking room but she said all rooms are non smoking. so very naughty people smoking where they shouldn’t. perhaps smoke alarms may be used.
