Bandara Suites Silom, Bangkok - SHA Extra Plus

The suites are very spacious and comfortable (great beds & fresh white linens) and excellent value. I picked this hotel because of it's revues but ultimately down to price and proximity to the BTS - (overhead rail system) because I figured we could get around the city easily and also the price enabled me and my girlfriend to book individual rooms for 4 nights last week We took the BTS to Sathorn Pier for 32 bhat one way (6 stops) and took the tourist ferry (150 bhat for all day pass) and went to Wat Po, Wat Arun, The Golden Palace, Iconsiam. It is close to Mahanakhon Skywalk also. The hotel has its's own tuktuk and we availed of, the first morning to get to the BTS station. I thought that was a great amenity - it's free but we tipped 20 bhat. I really enjoyed the pool area and all of the bar staff were welcoming, and attentive, helpful and efficient, especially Joy. She waited on us mostly and was so friendly, and provided excellent service. Another member of staff that stands out, is Mr. Noom who was so helpful with our luggage, getting us a taxi or helping us out with maps. In effect he was our concierge and always greeting guests with a smile on his face. We were very happy overall with everything and being our first time in Bangkok, delighted with the location and easy access to all that we wanted to see and do.

The hotel has gone through some renovations so the styles are a little mixed. Lobby and common areas are modern / chic and rooms a little dated especially the bathrooms, but my only complaint would be that the glass shower partition isn't wide enough so water flooded out on to the floor despite me moving the shower head to the wall side and then the water collected around the rim of the bath and flowed out even more. Easily soaked up with a few towels but didn't like having to use them to do that.

Breakfast was great, especially the fresh fruit and herbal tea. Staff were friendly and the setting was superb, with gorgeous sunsets every evening. We were the closest room to the water, allowing us to enjoy the sound of the waves at night. With just 18 rooms in the resort, it was always peaceful and service in the restaurant was prompt.

The cocktails were a little weak and the menu was limited.

Bathrooms a little tired but that’s just being picky. They were perfectly fine.

The pool and bar are on level 2, not the top floor.

Rooms were nice and comfortable .Enjoyed the swimming pool area with its amenities.

No information in hotel room about the hotel amenities .I did ask reception for a laundry bag but never received one so took laundry outside of hotel .

We've travelled Thailand for 6 weeks and this was by far the best hotel we stayed in. Everything is really clean and comfortable and the suit is so spacious with an amazing view on the city. We were able to check in two hours early, which was made possible by the amazing staff. The style of the hotel is rather retro, which is why the furniture was a bit out-dated but we didn't mind at all. There's a stove and a tiny oven and a fridge, everything you need to cook! The Lumphini park is really close, which is nice!

The next 7/11 was a ten minute walk away, which is kind of annoying sometimes but it's not the hotel's fault. Same with the next BTS and metro station.

Staff at pool area look tired and uninterested in serving well.

I loved the professional staff. The staff was very helpful without making me feel like it was just their job, they were actually friendly and kind. The room felt like home. My wife was very impressed with the décor selections. The bathroom was clean and everything functioned correctly. The bed made you a new person ready for a new day. Breakfast was great from a western point of view; my Thai wife thought the selections for her were limited and not very good.

The only thing I didn’t like was that I came to the end of my stay. I loved this hotel very much.

I booked a regular room but was UPGRADED to a Deluxe Suite and OMGosh, I felt like Royalty 🤩 My housekeeper Ya was VERY attentive of my needs. She was a GEM. I ABSOLUTELY ❤️ her plus she took very special care of my teddy bear Beavis 🥰 The concierges Mr Noom, and Owen were SPECTACULAR! I traveled solo and they kept a tight eye on me all the times. I felt safe at home and I really appreciate them for that. They’d make sure I got where I needed to be. Helped with my massive shopping bags and just overall made me feel right at home. I ❤️ them so much 🤩 The complimentary Tuk Tuk was definitely a BONUS to go shopping at the nearby mall The front desk staff Kai and Care ALWAYS greeted me with a big warm smile and made sure I had everything I needed. The generosity they displayed is Top Notch. I ❤️ them The breakfast was GREAT! Nice variety of foods and fresh fruit and yogurt. Thoroughly enjoyed it 😊 and room service was delicious I would DEFINITELY recommend and stay every time I’m in Bangkok Thanks guys for ur warm, genuine hospitality! This is why ur rated so high. You guys truly care about your guests 😊 See you next week 🤗
