ibis Bangkok Sathorn

I’ve stayed in Ibis properties before in Thailand and my room was identical to others I had stayed in. The room size was adequate for a single traveller. Would start to feel cramped even for a couple. The room was clean. The bathroom is an ok size but the triangular shower could feel small for ‘larger persons’. I was travelling to visit my Embassy and this was the most affordable property within 1 km. The internet was good and reliable. The included breakfast had a good selection of different foods. There was a 7-11. directly opposite the hotel, and plenty of restaurant options close by. There are also several massage shops near the property.

I was travelling by train around Bangkok and the property is not that close to any train stations; >0.5km walk which in 38ºC heat was not good. I eventually used a local scooter taxi but the driver had trouble locating the property. There was only one power point for charging my phone and it was not close to the bed. I was disappointed that the nearest Skytrain station was nearly 3 km away and even more disappointed. when the reception staff failed to tell me that I needed to catch a connecting MRT train from a station only 0.5km away; I discovered this myself.

Clean and tidy, professional hotel franchise with everything you need. Free internet and comfortable seatings in the lobby. Big window with view. Very quite! You can also leave your luggages there after check out if you still have time to go into the city.

It’s 8-10 min walk to Lumpini MRT, if it’s closer it would be perfect. And I don’t like the fact that they require you to put 1000Baht deposit for room damage control, which they didn’t even check the room when we checked out, it’s just very unnecessary. It’s better if you put down the deposit in USD so that you don’t have to spend the 1000Baht after check out.

Everything was clean, tidy, and the room was comfortable. GREAT value -- shower was excellent, bathroom too. Bed was comfortable and it was comfortable to sit down. Dining area was bright, clean, and the breakfast was complete. Location was perfect for my needs -- and a few blocks from BKK central park, known as Lumphini Park. Great for walking, and a nearby mall with restaurants, etc. Right in front there are Thai and Indian restaurants, in addition to cafes and 7-11 -- all less than a block away.

The desk or table space could have been bigger, but there might not be enough room. All in all, it was an EXCELLENT value. I could still work on my laptop, but would have liked a bit more desk-type space. Would definitely go back.

For 3 stars budget hotel I find it very worthy and many selections to choose for having a breakfast. the Location is very fantastic for me, as I have something to do at Goethe and German Embassy it is very easy and convenience for me to go out by walk or motorbike. next to the area many local restaurant including Japanese restuarant near by, and also 7-11 opposit the hotel!!! Loved it

I almost liked everything by far, except that I had a problem with my keys as I recieve two keys but has no one informed me that one is using for open the door and the other one using for electrictcity in the room so it was a hard time for me to keep insert the key for open the door until a very helpful housekeeping assisted me and explaining the reason that's when I found out, the rest of my stay was perfect!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located in a good neighbourhood. The breakfast was delicious, considering the level of service we had purchased. Excellent value for the money.

I would say I did not like the idea of paying a cash deposit at the time of check-in, but I'm not sure if this is a practice in Bangkok. The shower was too small, and there was not enough room to move freely. The key cards stopped working occasionally, and we needed to take them to the reception for reprogramming.

Really enjoyed buffet breakfast - both international and local menu were served! Location is ok, but you can take grab or ask hotel taxy (tuktuk) to send you over to the nearest train station for free. Room was great and cozy too! Staffs were very helpful and kind - thanks for helping us to call the cruise staff (speaks in Thai) and rearranged our cruise appointment (changed due to bad weather), and packed our breakfast (sandwich, boiled egg, fruits and salad) as requested as we had to check-out very early at 3.30am).

Hot shower was not that stable but that can be improved. Not a big deal. Else, I have no complaint.

The hotel is well-maintained and clean, the decor is mostly modernized, the overall impression is very pleasant. The service and staff are very polite and helpful. Location in a safe and quiet area, close to the center (close to shops and restaurants), but inside the hotel is pleasantly quiet. The rooms are not very large but have high quality amenities. The breakfasts are great :) I recommend this hotel.

Nothing to complain about :) For a three star standard you get a lot, The next hotel I stayed in Bangkok was a four stars one but I really preferred the Ibis.

Nice location. It was located in a quiet area but it took us 10 mins to walk to the station. There are not many cafes and restaurants around but there is a 7eleven on the opposite of the hotel so it was convenient to buy some snacks or water.

The room was a bit smaller than I thought but no problem. I slept right after I got the room and did not notice that the room was not clean. On the last day, I saw a death cockroach on the floor. It ruined some of my impressions of the hotel.

The hotel and room are the same as what is advertised! Friendly staff, Clean room, and easy-to-find location! It was my first time in Thailand and they made my stay easy and comfortable. I will definitely come back when I get a chance.

I don't particularly appreciate it when both elevators are broken on the same day. We had to climb upstairs while my room was on the top floor. I made it difficult to go out.

The location was awesome, everything you need is walkable. The area was chill, and easy to navigate. The room was super clean, and I loved the bench under the window. Tons of hot water for long showers. The breakfast was convenient and worth the price. Great Pastries!

The pillows could have been a bit better less lumpy. Also Tang in the buffet is not Orange Juice. The price can be a bit high during peak times.
