Maitria Hotel Sukhumvit 18 Bangkok – A Chatrium Collection

Our second stay at Maitria. Very friendly welcoming place with an excellent buffet breakfast included in the price. Location is excellent and room was a good size and very clean, Bathroom has a really big walk-in shower with great water pressure. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. We’ll be back !

We found nothing to complain about.

Breakfast was excellent with some of the nicest people serving that I’ve encountered in a hotel. Reception staff also very good with natural warmth and kindness.

THE BED. I fell asleep as soon as I sat on the bed. Super comfortable. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect to move around with metro and boat.

Room excellent being clean and fully appointed. Staff professional and friendly. Location good being walking distance from Sukhumvit Road and Emporium/EmQuartier shopping malls. I will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast average. More like a lunch selection dominated by rice and noodles being on offer. Cereal tasted stale as had been in the jars for a while. Bread selection came with jam only. In fairness I later found out I could order eggs at the counter. Coffee tasted ‘cheap’ as it came not from the ‘Coffee Shop’ but from a small machine. I stayed a week but after a few days I gave the hotel breakfast a miss and decided to walk to the nearby Starbucks or Au Bon Pain.

We booked a large room, it was more like a studio apartment as we were travelling with a lot of luggage. We were very impressed at the size of the room which also had a big kitchenette area and bathroom. The gym and pool area was medium size but very nice to hangout at. The pool is really more for dipping in rather than swimming size. The gym had what you need for a good workout and wasn’t crowded. The bed in our room was exceptionally comfortable. We asked for a room at the back of the building and it was very quiet.

Breakfast was adequate but not that great. My husband is a vegetarian and there was practically no choice for him except fried eggs, which were nearly cold every morning. One day they had baked beans which was a nice surprise for him.

breakfast is delicious. service from the staffs, staffs are always smiley and helpful. Location is central and accessible to BTS The room is clean and drinks are complimentary, spacious, wifi available.

the pillow can be puffier/full. the interior is slightly old, so a little refurnishing to touch up will do make the whole place look grand and brand new again. I visited this hotel in 2014, and it has been 9 years since, builtin furnitures look the same as they are not broken. Furnitures and cupboards definitely need some additional touches.

Large clean bedroom, bathroom large and clean too. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location. We have stayed here before so knew what to expect (and knew it would be good). Hotel was happy to organise a late check out for us on our last day (for a half day price) due to our late flight home.

Breakfast was included in the room rate which was appreciated. If I can be really picky I would have liked a little more choice at breakfast. That said, what we did have was very nice,

The hotel is super clean, the staff is very nice and we didn't really have any problem while staying here. I would have no problem staying here again in the future. The pool is amazing, we've spent a lot of time there with our 3 year old who's a great swimmer already so he had fun. I visited the gym as well.

The restaurant was a bit on the pricey side, so we didn't really have any other food there besides breakfast which were great. There was an amazing restaurant right across the street for quater the price.

Lovely smaller hotel. The pool on the rooftop is lovely and refreshing after a day in hot Bangkok. There is a coffee club underneath so if you like us really need that morning coffee you'll be ok. There are some nice restaurants nearby.

We didn't want to stay in a super busy area or in a high rise hotel but this hotel is quite far from the river and main attractions. Our kids absolutely loved the tuk tuk rides through bangkok and it was quite easy to catch a metro but probably would stay closer to attractions next time as we spent a fortune on taxis.
