.The staff were really nice, kind and helpful. The breakfast was great, there is a variety of food available and you can order an omelette. The bed and bathroom were clean

It was a bit difficult to get to the place by taxi and the street around the hotel was dirty, not as clean as I expected

I write this speech in order to inform you a little bit about the hotel. The location is really nice regarding the distance between Agia Sofia,Top Kapi and all these historic places...as far as the Galata tower and Taksim square you have to take taxi or metro (it's easy and with low cost as far as the metro..) The room is same with the photos that exist in the booking and is cleaned.I would like to have less light during night time because it was very light full the light of the street but it's ok you can sleep. Last but no least, Adem the morning reception guy was the best guy that i have ever meet in a hotel (and i have visit plenty hotels because of my job..). I recommend this hotel.

I stayed for 6 nights. we take into account the location... and it is close the historic district. It encompasses the peninsula coinciding with old Constantinople😉 me as a solo traveler felt safe, comfortable. also by the sea for a walk it is easy to get across the street. Breakfast wonderful. cottage cheese! The best for me! Clean and the bed comfortable! And the bathroom, too. the pictures correspond to reality. and the view from the roof terrace🤩 and the service is nice! Ask your questions to Mr. Adem. Thanks a lot! Yes, and more transfers from and to airport IST via hotel.

it's the little things. such as hand cream missing.

- The staff of the hotel was amazing and got great tips and info - We got water bottle on our arrival ( since tap water is not potable in Istanbul ) - The bed was amazingly comfortable and big, I slept so well. - The courtyard room was quiet but I think the street rooms are too as the cars are not allowed to pass. - Free coffe and the all the time - The overall cleaning was great - The breakfast was Turkish, various and was interesting to try it out - Great value for the price. Close to the city center but not in the expensive tourist area. We enjoyed walking around. (**If you are an elderly person or having issues walking, I would not suggest this location as everyday it requires to walk up a small hill** ) -( Bonus to the cats in the garden that was super cuddly too )

- It is advertised as a 4 start hotel but overall it's more like a 3 start hotel - The bathroom door and drawers needed some deep cleaning - No iron in the room as per description when booking - Mini bar was advertised when booking but was empty - The breakfast could benefit of some more international breakfast besides the Turkish ( some more sweets perhaps )

We truly loved this lovely hotel, the staff went above and beyond to help in every aspect from the first moment, to the last. The location is top-notch, in the middle of the old town, so expect narrow streets full of life, small restaurants, and cafeterias - perfect for trying out the local culture. And all that is just a short walk from Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Last but not least, we enjoyed the breakfast and the wide selection of local cheese and vegetables - everything was fresh and tasty.

The room size was a bit too small but understandable, considering you are in the middle of the old town and the nearest public transport stop is not that near (±10 min walk uphill).

The hotel is very good, new furniture and all repairment is fresh. The location is between Sultanahmet and Baiazet, closer to the sea. Around 10-15 min it took us to go with a baby stroller uphill to the tram station T1 and center area. Istanbul is situated at the hills, so be prepared to move all the time up and down if you would like to travel by foot. We asked for the additional baby bed and it was given us for free. Besides, our family was given bigger room than we expected and we had enough place to live with a kid. All beds are comfortable and new, our room had windows to the very small street, hotel is situated in the quiet area, and all sounds we have heard were from cats, neighbour cock and mosk. But cats and mosks are everywhere in Istanbul and the 1st pray starts at ~4 a.m. Also hotel has the elevator and marvelous view from the roof. The breakfast was usual, very fresh, tasty, enough in the morning. Some days were strawberries and rose jam for the dessert. Due to quarantine it was given directly into the room. We asked for the taxi transfer from and back to the airport and it costed 27 euro one way. Very convenient service and you don't need to look for the unknown taxi driver, price is stable and driver met us at the airport where we were told to wait. Near the hotel we found 2 minimarkets and several shops to buy good coffee. There are also a lot of restaurants but most of them were closed due to quarantine. Actually, it's covid-19 restrictions time everywhere, so most of the shops, restsurants and places of interest were either closed or had limited working hours, and not always Google showed correctly the working hours, so be ready that it influences your rest and plans. Everything was perfect, from check in to check out. The staff was so helpful & really friendly. They answered all what we need for our trip in Istanbul. The area is central to visit by walk all the principals monuments around 15mn by walk. It was the birthday of one of our group and they bring us a cake with candles. I recommand this place where you feel welcome. Thanks again

If I could say something, the breakfast could be more various. No espresso just filter coffee. Breakfast start a bit late at 8am. And the bathroom is a bit small.

Adem at reception was an absolute star. He helped me with so many travel arrangements and recommendations, always friendly, always with a smile on his face, it made for a lovely stay in Istanbul. The hotel is very conveniently located if you're planning to visit the bazaar and some hammans, and there's a very lively square nearby with many restaurant options that is great fun in the evenings. The rooms were a good size and very clean and comfortable and breakfast served in a lovely green courtyard.

A duvet rather than just a quilt

Very good location, big rooms, very good breakfast. They can organize transfer from and to the airport. And staff is amazing!!! It’s really easy to collaborate with them by Whatsapp. I asked them if they could help me organize a surprise for my mother's birthday and they surprised her with a big birthday cake and send me the video for confirmation. I was extremly happy to have been chosen this hotel. I would definately chose this hotel for the next trip. THANK YOU once again for nice memories!!!!

excellent location. very helpful staff, amazing breakfast, hygienic, and great atmosphere Castillo Rojo is a true diamond. The management and staff of the hotel makes you feel welcomed and so at home. Its location is superb as it has so many eating places on its doorstep. Entertainment at the restaurants was traditional even the kids enjoyed it. My 3 kids who were 16, 13 and 5 absolutely loved it . There was entertainment for all of them and we felt like we were part of the atmosphere. The staff were amazing and arranged all our tours. They gave us tips on how to get to places faster what times were best to visit certain places. The Ertrgrul tout that they arranged included first class travel and a very helpful guide a member of staff from the hotel accompanied us which made it easy for us We had a family room which was perfect in size, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and fresh every day and the staff went out of their way ti ensure everyone had something they enjoyed. Although the hotel isn’t 5 star our experience was better than a 5 star hotel. Me and the kids highly recommend it as a place to stay for the family
