Everything about the property was great. The breakfast was great, the property was clean, the location was perfect too as you had access to pretty much everything within a walking distance, and most importantly the staff were super nice and friendly, they went out of their way to help you with anything you requested for. I really appreciate the kind attitude and efforts from Zeynep, one of the receptionist staff at the front desk, she was super lovely and very welcoming and always had a smile on her face. Same for Yunus and Mustafa and other staff who work at the front desk and the hotel who were very helpful and welcoming and helped us whenever we needed. I would definitely recommend Golden Crown to anyone who is looking to stay in the Fatih area.

Everything was amazing, the staff are so friendly helpful specially Younis, Mustafa, Sinan, and Kurban. They helped us a lot during our 15 days stay and they offer all the best to us, we sent them many requests before arriving and all of them were just as we requested, my husband's birthday was during our stay and they surprise him with cake and fruits on his birthday. The rooms are comfortable and cozy, the heaters are working perfectly, the breakfast was so good and delicious, each day there are different options in the buffet. The location is amazing, it's near everting, the blue mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazar, Metro Station and restaurants. I highly recommend you to book in this hotel as you will have a valuable experience :) My 2 years old daughter loved the staff, the food and all the hotel, she also recommended the hotel to you all, she will miss all the staff.

I stayed here for 4D3N and it was comfortable overall. The room is slightly small and is comfortable and relatively clean. Toilet is clean and spacious enough. We got breakfast each morning and the food choices is good enough to make you full in the morning. The location is pretty central and near to the T1 tram line. Staffs were helpful towards any inquiry.

Albeit being located pretty central to the main tourist attractions, you’d have to do a lot of hiking up and down the cobblestone road which can be a bit of a hassle if you’re carrying multiple luggage or if you’re traveling with elders. The hotel is located near to several other hotels and shops/restaurants and it can get pretty noisy at night and early morning so if you’re sensitive to noise, just be aware of that.

This was our third visit to Istanbul. The hotel is in a great location, close to the sites, restaurants, and shops.. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Dogukan, Farooq, Yilmaz, Serhat, Saeed, Feroza, and Burak. They work really hard and are very friendly. Thank you for making our stay special. Lots of choice at breakfast, and the chef did her best to change the menu ever so slightly. Farooq guided us on how to travel to Galata Tower and Dolmabahce Palace using the trams. It's so easy to use the istanbulkart. You need the card to get into some of the toilets near Haghia Sophia and Blue Mosque.

Could do with a lick of paint to freshen up the place, it was still comfortable.

The service experience was great. Everyone I interacted with was kind, friendly and happy to help. The location is amazing in walking distance to both public transport and loads of sights. The breakfast had loads of options, which saved time in the morning. The bed was very comfortable.

2 things that could be improved, but would not prevent me from booking again: - there is no plug at the head of the bed - I was in room 201. All the 01 rooms are right across from the staircase, and with a gap under the door, they get very noisy at night and early morning because the staircase echos as well. This could be improved with closing the gap between the door and the floor

Mostly cold items in breakfast. Looking for hot breakfast. Location is excellent. Walking distance within 15 minutes to major historical places such as Hagia Sophia, blue mosque, Topkapi, Basilica Cistern, Grand bazaar and Spice Bazaar. Room was a bit small. Joined two Twin beds to make a queen size. Bathrooms are ok and clean. Furniture could be replaced with new. Very good hot water in shower. Staff is friendly and understanding.

The hotel staff was happy to let us check in early and even gave us a room upgrade to a suite, which was very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was good! The location is ideal - great modest restaurants and upmarket more tourist oriented establishments within 5 - 10 minutes walk. I got the best haircut ever from a barber about a 1 minute walk from the hotel - there's just nothing better than a Turkish haircut for a man. Everyone was extremely friendly and hospitable, and the front desk staff spoke very good English. The neighborhood felt completely safe - in fact we never felt otherwise during all our walking around Istanbul which often exceeded 10 miles a day. All in all, a top shelf experience!

The biggest challenge we had with travel in Istanbul was taxi service to and from the airport. Upon arrival we had no Turkish Lira, and when we were departing back to the airport we had used our lira up. In both directions the taxi companies assured us they could take a credit card or "tap to pay" and both times all our credit cards were declined, which led to the drama of finding a bank machine while the cab waited to be paid. The hotel staff arranged our taxi and felt assured that we could pay by credit card so that was our plan. I'm still trying to determine why we had a problem, but in no way blame the hotel staff for the situation. That said, they should perhaps advise foreign travelers to expect problems with taxis and credit card payments.

Location is excellent, a 5 minutes walk to the Cemberlitas Tram Station (uphill) and about 12 - 15 min walk to Hagia Sophia. View of Bosphorus River from rooms on the 4th and 5th floor. Bfast was very good. Room was clean. A special thanks to dear Dogukan, Imran and Zeynep who went to great lengths to make my stay comfortable.

Had to change my room three times on each day due to different issues in each of them (heating, broken toilet). My only suggestion to the owner/management is that the defects in the rooms which are in knowledge of the staff should be repaired before the rooms are given to guests.

It was a very good hotel and the friendly staff made my trip amazing. Special thank you to Goken and Zainep who were the receptionists at the hotel. They were very helpful and accommodating. I was also impressed by their lounge area which is usually not very well maintained in other hotels of similar services but Golden Crown Hotel very decent and comfortable.

The room size was a little bit smaller than I would have expected. For 2 people it was decent but check the room size if you are booking for 3 people to see the size difference between room for 2 people vs 3.
