Sultanahmet Nu Hotel

It was clean, staff was really pleasant and helpful, the location was awesome, it is a 5 minute walk to Sultanahmet. A lot of other tourist attractions are close as well. Guys on the reception speak English really well (which is not usual in Turkey, I don't know why). We also asked for and got a scale prior to checkout, so we didn't have surprises on airport with exceeding baggage limit. The terrace also had a nice view, and there is an elevator. The slippers and towels were changed daily, but I am not sure if it was vacuumed/mopped every day, so it wasn't exceptionally clean, but it was clean enough. The rooms are small, but for us it was enough. I saw a lot of bad reviews mentioning this, and even the guy on the reception reminded us of that, but I think that for this price - this is the average. We booked two rooms, economy and standard, but we got two standard rooms, which was great because we were all on the same floor.

The breakfast is scheduled from 8:30, but we waited until 9:30 for ours. And we didn't like the amount of food we got. We only paid that one day, and it was a good thing it was optional and you can pay by day. Sound insulation is poor. I guess you depend a lot on your neighbors. Our neighbors talked on the phone after midnight and it was really annoying. The hotel stated that the quiet hours are starting at 23:00. And it was a bit of problem for us because we have a baby. We didn't report it though, because a few knocks on the wall solved the issue :D I guess since the breakfast is optional, this is the only downside.

The hotel is a great find. Location is great, tram line is just a couple of minutes away. Plus it’s not super deep into the istanbul streets, so it’s hard to get lost while locating the hotel for the first time. But the true gems are the hosts and the staff of the hotel. The owners are super friendly and speak good English and Russian. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such great hosts in Instanbul. The rooms are small but clean (at least mine was). The terrace has a great view. Don’t expect sea views in every room (applies to Istanbul in general). p.s. moderate your expectations and you won’t be disappointed (applies to everything in general).

Cups. Guys please change the cups in the rooms.

Pretty good location, as you are close to pretty much everything there is to see in Sultanahmet neighborhood. Also about 5 minutes walk to the bazaar, good restaurants and a supermarket nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff, we felt welcome. 😊 Good value for money, the rooms look new, great and are comfortable.

We found it hard to fall asleep and woke up a few times (even late at night, it was always noisy because of other guests) as the walls are probably too thin. It affected our rest and, as a result, our overall experience in the hotel. I really hope the hotel will consider fixing this problem as soon as possible to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests. ❗️ Attention to cleaning could be improved, as well as restocking the bathroom with clean towels and toilet paper. Again, however, if you think of the price we really can't complain. For what we paid, it was alright and overall a good experience. 🙏

We stayed in Sultanahmet Nu Otel for 4 days, 3 nights. Our days in there were simply fantastic, the spaces are clean, breakfast is pretty good on a wonderful terrace where you can see the port and the Istanbul sea and all that viewpoint stuff, the hotel is located 5 minutes walking from the Sultanahmet Square where you can find the most touristic spots of Istanbul like Ayasofia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace, so the place is really perfect for the tour of that part of Istanbul without taking trasports; workers are very kind and polite but what really make our permanence special is the receptionist, manager Dawood. What to say about him? He’s that kind of person that make you feel lucky to have chosen this hotel, always ready to give help for solving any kind of problem, using even his personal time to give you precious information and a very smart, kind and polite man you can talk with. In 4 days he makes us feel like at home. Those are the reasons why we want to suggest this place. GO SULTANAHMET NU OTEL!

Mr Murad & Mr Dovlet at the reception desk are very friendly, helpful and hospitable. They helped us with our queries and concerns. The taxi driver had overcharged my friend. Mr Murad did his best to help us get a refund and sort the issue out asap. Mr. Dovlet suggested cool places to chill and made us feel at home. The housekeeping staff were sweet and helpful. The location of the hotel is amazing! Just a short walk to cemberlitas tram station, Hagia Sophia , Bue mosque and grand Bazar. We could organize a li'l B'day party for our friend in the terrace /restaurant area❤️ The terrace has spectacular views. A steam iron is available at the reception on request. Noise can be heard easily in the rooms.

The staff were friendly , knowledgeable and helpful. The Terrace on the 7th floor was good for breakfast but also a place to get together before a trip out. A good communal space. My room had a great fridge that kept all my drinks cold.

There was no view from the windows on the 1st floor. You just look to another room in an adjacent hotel. There was only one lift so can be full at busy times so expect to take the stairs. If you are on the first floor it can get noisy with people coming and going close to midnight. Would be good for a kettle to be provided on the Terrace for better use of the space. There was a loose wire connection in the ceiling but kept forgetting to mention to reception. It was unsightly but no H&S issue.

The location first of all was 10/10, located in the heart of the city, close to taksim, the great palaces, the sea, culture and history. The facility of the hotel were very nice and clean, family friendly. The staff very warm and friendly and made my mother who was visiting with us feel very welcome. Special thanks to Murad from the hotel - he was so lovely and gave excellent food and activity recommendation. Even the lady serving breakfast in the morning was super friendly and open. I strongly recommend this hotel. Amazing family holiday for our whole family. Thank you for making it wonderful! Highly recommend!

I don't normally leave reviews but I've made an exception this time because this was the friendliest hotel I've ever visited. I've been to many hotels across the world, often as a solo traveller for business and leisure and can't remember any other hotel being so welcoming. When you travel alone, that can make a huge difference to your stay. It was my first time in Turkey and it certainly won't be my last. The value for money, location and the rooftop terrace were all fantastic. I loved my big room.

The hotel is situated at the best place , so clean & tidy. We can view Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque & everything by just walking distance , to travel from tram , cabs , bus, or to eat at cafe everything is near just to walk! The top terrace breakfast view is amazing in hotel along with the sea side beautiful view. Apart from this the staff Javidan, Murad and others are really helpful. Thank you everyone for making our stay amazing & memorable. When I will come back , I’m looking forward to stay here again😀Love from 🇬🇧🫶🏻🇹🇷
