Peyk Hotel

The hotel itself is fantastically located at Sultanahmet in close vicinity to all major tourist attractions as i.e. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Constantine obelix, Grand Bazar, etc... The nearest Cemberlitas Tram station is literally 150 meters away making it a great connection point for visits to remote tourist attractions or ie Taksim square (from Kabatas stop). There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the area, including grocery shops, literally 50 meters away. Breakfast at the hotel is very generous with lot of options. The hotel staff, led by the receptionist Mr. Ramadan is always available and ready to assist with all your needs. Mr.Ramadan kindly arranged ie. Dervish whirling show for us, arranged transportation, etc... A really great person and always at disposal for assistance. The hotel even slightly outdated (as it is located in the old part of the town) is very clean and very well maintained. Access to the higher floors via 2 modern elevators. We would definitely choose it for another visit to Istanbul.

The hotel doesn't offer a gym or swimming pool for those that are looking for those things. Also, a list of foreign TV channels may be a little better. Considering that most of the day you are out this isn't a big issue at all.

The location is perfect for exploring all of the sites of the old town. The Çemberlitas tram stop is a two minute walk from the hotel. There are two grocery stores nearby. The room was quite comfortable. If you are bothered by street noise, bring earplugs. The hotel sits on the corner of a very busy intersection - lots of honking. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices.

There are no outlets next to the beds and no bedside reading lights. The bathroom setup is a bit odd. The barhroom walls are made of see-through glass. Even though there is a blind that closes, the entire room lights up if someone has to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.

The hotel is conveniently located within in a walking distance to the historical places (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar). Despite the central location, the hotel is quiet. The size of the room was bigger than we had expected. What impressed us most was professionalism of the reception staff - always helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Breakfast was also rich and tasty, good mixture of Turkish and European dishes. We would recommend this hotel to families as well as business travelers.

Excellent location; close to the tramline for connectivity across the city, and suitable walking distance for all major attractions on the European side. Staff were wonderful; super helpful with recommendations and directions, very friendly and made me feel safe as a solo female traveler. I stayed here when running the Istanbul Marathon and I would recommend as a great base hotel; it was very clean, room spacious enough for a 3-night stay and would do for longer I’m sure. They have the best coffee at breakfast time!! And a wide variety of options for all tastes from continental to cooked food. A great stay and I would use the hotel again for sure!

the Location of the hotel was great, close to the tram station and conveniently situated in a nice street full of shops and restaurants. everything was walking distance. the room was clean and nicely furnished. the staff were very helpful and breakfast was full of delicious choices , i wish to thank Mr. Ramadan who constantly asked if i needed any assistance with anything. They were very kind in allowing me to check-in earlier

some minor things need more attention like bettwe Wi-fi service, better cleaning of the carpet.

The location is excellent and very close to the tram stations. The closeness of a lovely supermarket is very handy and the restaurants in the area were all good. The breakfast offered options and the best scrambled eggs. The Turkish breakfast is different to western hotels, however the options should satisfy most tastes. Clean towels were provided every day. The little balcony was nice, to step out onto and the airconditioning worked properly. The personnel were all very customer focussed and eager to assist. Special mention has to go to Bayram the early evening duty manager. Booking the airport transfers through the hotel provides peace of mind and no problems were experienced.

My only negative issue was that the washhand basin drain was slow to drain and I think it is something that housekeeping should check out before guests arrive.

This hotel is located near to places of interest. Easy connections with public transport. Very nice, helpful personnel. We enjoyed the breakfast

It’s a great location to explore the Sultanahmet historic center. It offers a great breakfast and it’s very clean and well taken care of. Great value for the price. There is a nice little coffee shop just under the hotel which is really convenient for a break or before a busy exploring day. On top of all of that the staff at the hotel are simply great, very nice people going out of their way to make you feel comfortable and helping you to explore Istanbul. Have to point out Ramazan, the gentleman who we saw the most as he was at the reception in the mornings. Thank you Ramazan for all the care and for helping us find a taxi for the airport when the mighty Booking service taxi never showed up. Thanks to Ramazan we made our flight. Would definitely book this hotel if visiting Istanbul again. Just a great place, don’t hesitate!

The location is perfect for walking to the main attractions like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar. It is also a very short walk to the nearest tram station from where the city tourist attractions can be easily accessed by tram. The room had a little balcony so the fresh air and city sounds were nice. The doors are double glazed so reduce the street sounds when you go to sleep. The breakfast was the typical Turkish offering which was fresh and varied. They do offer cereals as well. The scrambled eggs do deserve special mention. It was light and moist. Sitting at our table I had a view of the lady preparing the dish and it surely received all her attention and care. There is a supermarket just up the road which is very handy and also sold very fresh and good quality fruit. There was always a staff member at reception when you arrive back at the hotel and the welcome back greeting was such a pleasure. Bayram the service manager on most afternoons/early evenings, was extremely helpful and share a wealth of experience and knowledge with guests. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the hot water was instant and good pressure. Bed and linen of good quality.

The selection of tv programmes was limited. Having access to some of the larger international news and sport channels would be nice. My only irritation was that the outlet from the washhand basin was almost blocked and despite reporting it, it was not completely resolved during the stay. This is something that needs to work before guests arrive.

Very nice, cozy and modern hotel in the center of Sultanhamed. The location is perfect, tram station 3 minutes by walk. A Lot of main attractions like Hagia Sophia, Topkapi palace, Grand bazaar, Spice bazaar…in walking distance. Also supermarkets, drug stores or restaurants everywhere near by. Very comfortable bed and in general everything very well equiped and cleaned every day. We had a room on the top floor, which has a small balcony with the sea view and sunset. Breakfast was fabulous, even my wife which has celiac disease had gluten free bread every day. Totally reccomend and will come back for sure🙂
