Atlantis Royal Hotel

Lovely hotel in Turkish style within walking distance (400m) of the central Sultanahmet Meydanı (square on the site of the old Hippodrome) with the Blue Mosque. The Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, the many museums and Grand Bazar are all within walking distance. The location is really sublime. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We had booked a budget room. It turned out to be in the basement and had no windows. (That was not clear to us when booking). Fortunately, the staff spontaneously gave us an upgrade to a great room on the 4th floor. This room was also fully equipped, including a refrigerator, air conditioning, excellent bed and bathroom. Everything was very clean. The hotel has a modern elevator. The breakfast buffet is simple, but fine. An omelette will be baked for you on request. When it is busy in the hotel, the equivalent breakfast facilities in the hotel next door, where there is slightly more space, are used. In the immediate vicinity are restaurants and supermarkets.

We actually have no criticisms of the hotel itself; which is just great. The city center and immediate surroundings are not suitable for disabled people (steep and busy streets and poor sidewalks). Also keep in mind that at sunrise (which is early....) you may be awakened by the call to prayer from one of the nearby mosques. But with the window closed, it won't bother you much.

The room was lovely. Bathroom was elegant marble and looked great. The interiors felt royal. Location is great. 10min walk to hagia sofia as well as grand bazar

The room size were small. The water boiler was very dirty - it had tissue paper stuck to it and the mouth of the boiler was too dirty to use. NEVER BOOK ROOM #105. Please request the hotel staff while booking to not give you that room. It’s not even a proper room. Doesn’t even have space to walk.

It was the first time that we went to Istanbul and I think that choosing the Atlantis Royal for the place to stay was an excellent choice.The position is perfect,you are just a few minutes of walk away from the metro or the tram. The hotel also is located in the "Old City" so you can visit a lot of the mein attractions. Ali the receptionist was very polite and available for every question that we had.He even said that we could contact him in his personal number if we have any problem during our vacation. Top 👍👍

The location of the hotel was perfect. Our visit was purely for tourist purposes and the hotel location met that properly. On top of that we simply had to walk to our destination at times as the tram was 2 minutes away. Furthermore, the staff was extremely accommodating, nice and generous!

Honestly, there was nothing to dislike during my 9 days in Istanbul. I can honestly say this out loud that I will be more than happy to come back yet again and stay again!

Location wise, excellent. Close to all the landmarks in the Old City, and there’s also tram services to travel to those a bit further. Loads of great food spots nearby too. Not much to do at the hotel but it’s fine since you can go to the Blue Mosque within 5 minutes

An excellent place for families, in a quiet and calm area (rare to find such in Istanbul), 7 minutes walk from the tram, and a few minutes walk from the famous sites, we enjoyed it very much.

Staff were very cooperative. Close to restaurants and tourist places.

Located at the bottom of a steep road, so it was tiring to walk. Probably ok for young people. The breakfast buffet was adequate.

Our host Ali was nicest person I ever met working on reception, helping us a lot with everything and making sure we are satisfied with our accomodation. Room itself was excelent for the price and very clean. Place is in very heart of Istanbul with most important attractions on few minutes of walk away.

It is bit noisy at night if you have sensitive sleep, although I could not figure out where was it coming from. Despite this small discomfort I will stay there again next time I come to Istanbul cause everything else about this place is just perfect.

Location, cosy interior, staff

Nothing much. Just outside of hotel is gully street which are not so clean, Hair dryer wasn’t working

Th staff met my expectations, every time I signaled my room needs a make-up, the ladies from the cleaning changed the bedsheets, towels, cleaned the bathroom, very commited in their work, I even asked once for an ironing machine and they gave me one. I could use the kitchen, the reception staff kept our luggage on te check out day few hours in the afternoon so we can do a round in the city before we head in to the airport. The breakfast was rich and it was only £8 per person in the days that we wanted one.
