Recital Hotel

- the location is great, in walking range to "everything" - the room had great views. - one of the receptionists, Murat, is a good English conversation partner (you will learn to value this skill in Istanbul) and will happily answer to any questions, help in any matter, whip out a map and a pen to show you what you need, estimate costs and duration of various activities and so on. It definitely improves the overall "trust factor" of the hotel. - rooms are properly sound proofed from the outside noise - all communal areas are very clean and smell nice - the hotel is feeling more like 3* superior - especially for the Turkish standards - big comfy beds - functional heating - minibar prices were ok - nice amenities, including kettle, coffee and tea in the room - late night food, supermarket, sweets, drug store and hamam available in a 5-min walk range

- the breakfast could be improved. On a day, 1h before end everything was stale, pastry was old, no more eggs in any form. On another day at the start time everything was visibly more fresh and with more options available. This is not a tragedy though, you can just walk out of the hotel and get other cheaper fresh options. - the room was not thoroughly cleaned on check in (hair in the sink drain, a bit of mould on the bath tub corners) - the safe was not properly bolted to the closet and its door was finicky - no free electric outlets near the bed - one of the taxis we ordered via the reception overcharged us double the price (we noticed that when we came back on the same route using another cab ordered via BiTaksi app). I expect taxis ordered from reception to be with "clean drivers".

All in all a fantastic experience because of the FANTASTIC staff. Probably the nicest, friendly, efficient, interested, welcoming staff we have ever encountered. Reception could not do enough for us, suggestions, maps, tips, activities ect etc.. so helpful, and friendly, our room housekeeper big friendly helpful smile, nothing was a bother..... Great grounds guy, - keeping the place immaculate the flowers made it all look so fresh and well, great job. Breakfast was great varied and interesting choice, enhanced by a very able, friendly, cheerful male / female duo ( apologies we lost the names list ) lovely lovely people, so friendly, helpful ,and welcoming. LOVED IT.. and then on top of which , the room, was great and the location was perfect. Recital would be my first choice when visiting or recommending - excellent.. did I mention that the staff are incredible.... Thank you for a great stay.

That we could not stay longer... loved it !

Great location to the major sights, room was comfy, could have done with a couple more pillows, but I’m sure they would have provided if we’d asked. Staff lovely and happy to help. No issues checking in or out. Bed was totally fine and we had perfect sleeps. Price was fine. Wifi great. I would recommend Recital to anyone looking for a Center of operations in Istanbul. 10 minute walk at most to hippodrome and Hagia Sophia area, Grand Bazar equally close. We were there in winter so was not at all crowded. Oh and they have transport cards at the desk pre loaded with 100 Turkish lira if you ask.

Nothing really.

Everything. Location was the best, easy walking distance to all the main sights in the area and close to the tram for other sightseeing. Staff were incredible, all of them friendly and welcoming, they go above and beyond to be helpful and kind to us and our children. We got to visit their private cistern too, which was a bonus. Our family room was nice and large, with comfortable beds, great airconditioning and lovely hot showers. We will stay there again on our next trip to Istanbul!

Nothing at all

very handy location as the hotel was near to the tourist centre. The staff were helpful and the hotel was efficiently run. Quiet although the hotel was busy. Rooftop terrace .

The property was very clean and comfortable. The location was wonderful too as it was close to many tourist attractions like the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sofia and the bazaars. I really enjoyed the service, especially the breakfast! The staff was wonderful too, a special thanks to Riza, Mary, Bose and all other staff, you guys were very helpful and great guides! We look forward to returning someday! Thanks.

There wasn’t anything negative about our stay.

I stayed here for 7 full days, booking 3 rooms. All 8 of us. The location is superb, close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Tram Station, restaurants, cafe, supermarket & shopping places in Old City. The staff are very2 courteous & helpful, in particular Murat, Arda & Poshe during daily breakfast (i hope i spelled her name right). They even allowed for us early check in & late check out, which we truly appreciate. Room service is very efficient, normally done earlier in the morning. They cleaned our room every day. The hotel also is very clean in all of its parts.. The view on our Sea View room is breathtaking. Thanks Recital Hotel for the memory.

Hotel staff is great, very friendly and happy to help. They recommended an excellent rooftop restaurant close to hotel with the most beautiful view of Istanbul. Hotel location is excellent, just a few minutes walking distance to Hagia Sophia, Blue mosque and Grand bazaar. Plenty of restaurants and shops in the vicinity.

Only minus, if I would have to find one, is the noise coming from the street that is passing by the hotel. But it’s a very popular area and traffic in Istanbul is always busy in general.

I recently stayed at this Hotel and it was a wonderful experience. The location of the hotel is very convenient, making it easy to reach all the major sights and attractions. The staff were extremely attentive and welcoming, and the overall cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel left a great impression on me.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a more varied breakfast selection, but overall I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Istanbul.

The rooms are clean and well maintained. The bathroom has all the amenities needed. The breakfast room was really cozy with very nice freshly baked pies. The terrace has an amazing view and you can go with your cup of coffee to enjoy the scenery and take amazing photos. The hotel is close to all the touristic attractions and there is a big super market close to the hotel.
