I really recommend everyone who wants to visit Istanbul to stay at this family hotel! The staff is really kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and our room was really spacious. Ladies emptied our bins and changed our towels every day. Room also has air conditioning. Beds are super comfortable! Also, I really liked pillow because it was really soft (not hard as rock as you normally get in some hotels). We also had breakfast which was great, you can choose sweets like yogurt, cereal, fruits, jams, honey.. and savory like eggs, pasta salads, salami, cheeses, pastry… Hotel is located in a quiet street just 5min (walking) from the metro station. Overall we really liked it here and Yilmaz and Yasin made our stay really great with their hospitality and kindness.

especially I would like to thank staff and Mustafa personnally! they helped us a lot from the check in moment till check out and even after! Hotel is great located and near to most famous touristic places. It is close to tram and subway station as well. from airport we came to the hotel by airport shuttle bus and even didn’t need to book a taxi. it comes directly to Bayazit square and then it is just 8-10 mins walk to the hotel.

The receptionists were very nicr gave us directions and useful tips on how to visit Istanbul, and helped us with anything we asked them to. The room was clean, the bed confortable, and you had anything you need in it, like a safe for example, a kettle, tea and instant coffee. The shower was nice with rain style shower as well as normal one. The hotel is very close to the main tourist attractions of Istanbul and well connected to other objectives being close to the Cemberlitas tram Station.

The breakfast was OK but could be improved. (a larger variaety of food for example, or better coffee)

My wife and I were traveling with our toddler and we found the location to be perfect. It was so convenient for us to get to the tram station which was 5 minutes away, and Sultan Ahmet was 4 minutes away. The staff was friendly and helpful. There was a laundry shop literally across the their door which was super convenient for us. There were two big convenience stores 2 mins away. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was amazing with so many options to eat and everything was tasty and fresh. The hotel also had a lift which added to the convenience. Overall we had an amazing experience.

The hotel is wonderful, the room was spacious and very comfortable. Beds were cozy, which was like an oasis when we would return dead tired from exploring the city. Bathroom was all right, the AC, the fridge, the safe and all the other facilities worked properly. All of the interior (and the exterior) is modern and nicely decorated. There is also a nice little terrace on the rooftop where we sat in the evening, looked at the sea and listened to the sounds of the city. Hotel's location is really convenient. All the best places are close by - Ayasofya and the Blue mosque are a five, and Topkapi palace a ten-minute walk away from the hotel. There are also some great restaurants in the vicinity. The neighborhood seems relatively safe and is just a short walk off a main street. Breakfasts were nice, there was plenty to choose from. There was some nice tea and coffee and a selection of fruits every morning. The dining room is cozy and kind of homey. The receptionists were both extremely sweet and helpful. Thank you both, guys, for everything - for asking about our preferences about the room, for organizing our ride to the airport, for recommending a place to eat, for lending us a transport card when we couldn't get our own, for recommending us the best places and routes around the city and for answering to all of our questions :) Cleaning ladies did a nice job, too. All in all, an amazing place to stay :) A bonus tip in the end: let the hotel organize your ride from the airport. We came to the city with the airport shuttle, then took a cab, and the driver really ripped us off. When we went home, we asked the receptionist to get us a taxi for a fixed price instead - it turned out to be much cheaper and we didn't have to transfer anywhere, we rode straight to the airport.

I don't have a single objection.

The location is great. A short walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc. Very close to Cembarlitas station in case you want to use the tram to get around. The rooms are clean, the staff is helpful and the breakfast is delicious.

The hotel doesn't provide laundry service at the premises but there is a laundry shop just opposite the hotel which charges TL50/kg.

Great location, breakfast and helpful friendly staff.

The high pitched screeching noise of the plumbing kept us awake. We were in a room on level one and it may not have been an issue in the rooms on the higher floors.

The hotel is located in a small quiet street, the position is excellent because it is close to tourist places like Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, etc. It takes a few minutes to walk to the tram station. As for the hotel itself, it is very neat and charming. We stayed in double rooms and they were clean, the beds were comfortable. The hotel staff is extremely hospitable, helpful and ready to give advice for sightseeing. The breakfast was very good, and every evening after arriving at the hotel, we could treat ourselves to coffee and tea in our rooms. We would like to thank Salih and Yilmaz for their hospitality. We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would choose it again the next time we visit Istanbul.

Everything was great

The hotel is in a very good neighborhood, you are near the grand bazar, the blue mosque and santa Sophia in a walking distance. The owner of the hotel is very nice and welcoming, he showed us the good and bad areas, where to buy stuff, where not etc.. He had precious advice so we had the best time. The breakfast is Turkish style, savory and sugary options available, home-made. The rooms are clean, the staff brings you all the necessities when they clean your room without you asking. Artika hotel is a very nice little hotel in the heart of historic Istanbul. It is clean and well organised, run by a very friendly and helpful staff, Salih, Yilmaz and others, who are really trying to make your stay as trouble free as possible. Rooms are not huge, but good enough for a comfortable stay. There are a good size wardrobe, suitcase stand and shoes cupboard, table, a chair and 2 bedside tables, air-conditioner and small fridge in each room. The shower is powerful and big. There is a roof terrace in the hotel with a great sea view. The breakfasts are fresh and tasty, prepared by a Georgian girl Nana. She also keeps the hotel clean and tidy, doing a lot of job from early morning till night, her husband is a lucky man to have such a beautiful and hard working wife. 🙂 The hotel is a real value for money. If you need something like an extra pillow or water, just tell a member of staff and they will go an extra mile for you. Location- great, in walking distance to main attractions, 2 min to Theodosius Cistern, 5 min to Blue Mosque, 10 min to Hagia Sophia, 4-5 min to tram line, 10 min to bus line. There are some good restaurants like Garden 1897 in 5 min walking. We would recommend this hotel for everyone who think visiting Istanbul.
