The courtesy at Reception, especially Con and the supporting staff is comendable.

We were not at All satisfied with Breakfast options. It's very basic. For a Hotel of Good repute, this is the most Negative aspect of Tunel Hotel. Some of the the waiters are not at all respectful. If we ask butter for bread they say Extra. I am yet to come across a Hotel of repute who doesn't serve butter with bread. Pan cakes are given with Chocolate. I asked take away chocolate and give me Jam. They said jam will cost extra. It is really stupid. A Tourist who stays at Tunel can afford to pay 15Tl for butter but why pay for replacing Jam with Chocolate ?? Big Chef must be ordered by Tunel to be more courteous to Hotel guests and coperate with such small requests. In short my sincere advise is breakfast scope should be broadened for better rating of Hotel.

The family room was spacious with great view and everything you may need, there was a small pool and sauna which was very fun for the kids. The reception guy was very friendly and helpful.

The breakfast was definitely not acceptable and not in the level of the hotel. The restaurant “Big Chefs” was the only downside of the hotel. The number of staff may not be enough to support servicing the guests in the morning. You may need to wait until the end of your breakfast to get a tea for example. The options of the breakfast are very limited with poor quality and no taste, so it is only good to make you full for couple of hours.

Clean room, warm water all the time, efficient A/C, very good location, right next to metro station & very close to Galata tower, fast wifi, reception boys all of them very helpful, the hotel has its own parking right next to the hotel which is very convenient with all this traffic in Istanbul.

Breakfast was served in the restaurant which is next to the hotel, it's a la carte, not buffet, it was very tasty but found it limited in variety. Room was a bit small.

I can’t speak for other rooms, but the room where we lived (on the top floor with a balcony) had such a beautiful view of the city that it completely covered all possible shortcomings. In addition, the hotel is located within excellent walking and transport accessibility from all the best places in the city. metro right at the entrance, the main tourist street with cafes and shops is a 5-minute walk

unfortunately many services offered were not available. swimming pool was very cold. the sauna was not working properly. hamam had low temperature. Breakfast is very modest, with one dish to choose from. The renovation in the room is not the newest. some things did not work, for example some sockets. problems with hot water

All the staff are very kind. The hospitality is incomparable. The location of the hotel is fantastic; you can reach Galata Tower within 2 minutes, Istiqlal Street within 3 minutes, and Sishane is only 10 seconds away from the hotel. The hotel restaurant, Bigchef, is very delicious. The view from my room (the sea view room) is incredible, with a large balcony. The room service comes every day to clean the room, and the lady is very professional. I booked my ticket for Istanbul in February, and for sure I will be back at the same hotel. All the staff are very kind. The hospitality is incomparable. the room needs a little bit of maintenance, And after that, the place will be one of the greatest hotels in Istanbul.

The staff were so nice and helpful and attentive to all of our needs. We stayed in thr junior suite which was very comfortable for 4 people and we had great views of the galata Tower which was beautiful. The location was amazing. It was right opposite the metro station so we could easily go to visit different places in Istanbul and was close to the main street and around 15 minutes walk to the sea which was busy in the day and in the evenings. There is also a rooftop bar on top which had beautiful views of the city I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to be in a quality hotel and good location in Istanbul

There was nothing we didn't like

location, spacious room ( we had bedroom and living room with kitchen), lovely reception staff that was always trying to help. Restaurant on the side had really nice food. We would often eat dinner there.

because we travelled with kids we were looking for a hotel with swimming pool however pool in Tunel Residence was way too cold to use it. Pomp was broken and during our weekly stay we couldn’t use it at all. Also breakfast options included in the price was very limited and we would always have to ask multiple times for juice or coffe etc even though it stated on menu that drinks during breakfast are unlimited. Some days we wouldn’t get our tea or juice. We were just ignored.

- Location was very convenient - in the middle of the most vigorous part of the city. - As we traveled by car, the availability of a car parking (though public one) was huge plus - just 5 min walk from the hotel, and very reasonably priced (about 15 euro for 2 days). Clean, well organized and secure. - The hotel room was spacious with big and very comfortable bed. - The bedding and towels were clean and fresh.

Two things: - the shower - you need patience with the shower as water pressure is not constant, which affects not only the availability but also the temperature of the water. - breakfast - not worth at all, which was quite disappointing, considering the fact that Istanbul is famous for great food experiences. It is offered as a standard menu of 5-6 items, which limited choice would have been "ok" if it was (to say delicately) substantial. For the choice I made from the menu, I was served with a sliced into two simid bread with tiny bits of yellow cheese between the buns and a lettuce as a sider (pics attached) ... We had to pay extra for a double espresso... Certainly NOT OK !

The room was clean and furnishings of high quality. The bathroom as well. The hotel is centrally located near Taksim Square (you probably want to be either near Taksim or in the old city) and right next to a subway stop. The front desk staff was professional and friendly.

The pool and spa area is really very minimal. There is a "pool", that takes a few seconds to swim across, but is fine if you want to be in effectively a big basement bathtub. The "steam bath" and spa area smelled quite unpleasant and sour, and I would never use it. The sauna is nice and warm, probably because it's heated.

- Great location, 500m away from Galata Tower - The room was spacious - The staff was friendly - Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby (Taksim area)

- The sound insulation of the walls was horrible, you could hear anything from the other rooms - Breakfast was poor
