Delta Hotels by Marriott Jumeirah Beach, Dubai

We stayed in room 1201 from 20-26 January. It’s a huge standard king room with lots of space for clothes in the closets and drawers with a balcony and view of the ferris wheel between the skyscrapers. The bathroom is large and spotless. On arrival at 1 a.m. in the morning after a long flight from Europe we were greeted by a huge smile and very warm welcome from the doorman and reception staff at the hotel. The check-in was very efficient. A huge recommendation should be made to ALL the staff, who were extremely polite and efficient and we were always greeted with a big smile from all of them - very heartwarming - especially, Chand, Motin, Chetan, Abdul Majid (one of the chefs) we only regret we can’t remember all the names as they really were exceptional staff of varied nationalities. The housekeeping made sure the room/bathroom were kept immaculately clean with fresh towels and toiletries and complementary bottled water every day. The breakfast staff ensured the food was always topped-up. The buffet was a mixture of hot and cold, both European and Arabic. The chefs made delicious eggs to your specification if you wanted, otherwise scrambled eggs were always available. There was sufficient seating space for everyone. The location of the hotel was an easy few minutes walk to the beach, the marina, the metro (very easy to use to go visit all the sights/shopping malls) so we didn’t need a car at all. Lots of eatery places and shops within a few steps of the hotel - so it’s a perfect location and wonderful to walk around as the skyline in the daytime is amazing and magical at night - really picturesque to take beautiful photographs. The return taxi from the hotel to Dubai airport at 5.30 a.m (so not much traffic) cost 90 dirhams.

There was nothing to dislike and personally we would stay again without any hesitation.

I loved the location as it was very close to Jumeirah Beach and the Walk. The hotel itself had many facilities and breakfast at the Shores was great, with a lot of choice. Our room was massive and good value value for money.

The decor in the bathrooms let down the room as it didnt feel as luxurious as the rest of the apartment. The initial checking in didnt go amazing as the room was double booked and it wouldve cost to upgrade. However they did eventually understand our situation and accommodated. Very professional indeed.

Room and location are nice. The big plus point is the nearby beach and beach walk with the many restaurants. The service, for cleaning the rooms was good and the service was friendly. Also the view on the Marina is superb and the quality of the supermarket just a few steps away is excellent for everyday groceries. The personnel at the reception was always very helpful and the hotel taxi service was great. The staff was very conscious about healthcare and face masks were provided if you accidentally forgot one to take one with you. The in-room dining service was of good quality and it was brought to the room quickly.

There were minimal utilities in the kitchen. Everything was exact for 4 persons, so 4 glasses etc. We had to ask for more glasses and kitchenware. The dishwasher looked as if it came from a secondhand market and did not work very well. It was not able to heat the water so it was useless. We did not report it to the reception as we washed the dishes manually. The hotel is already a few years old and that can be seen in the bathrooms. Also on the booking pages the rooms looked nicer than in real life.

Our family of eight stayed in one large room. It was very clean, regular cleaning. I really liked the location, 5 minutes to the sea, no need to cross the big road. To the metro 10 minutes on foot. There is a supermarket near the hotel. A good breakfast, you won't stay hungry. We also liked that you could take towels and umbrellas to the beach.

I didn't like the reception, they didn't explain anything when we checked in, dinner was included and on the penultimate day we found out that we could go to the restaurant on the 35th floor and to the restaurant on the LG floor, only the LG restaurant appeared in the brochure that was given at the reception. The situation with tea is also unclear, whether it is paid or free, employees have always been confused when we asked for tea at dinner, for the future, please say such little things more clearly.

I stayed there in December so I’m was looking forward to going back.

Can’t fault the hotel at all. Lovely hotel and lovely staff that can’t do enough for you.We arrived early on the Thursday morning and I didn’t get the balcony room that I requested on booking but I went down on the Friday and spoke to a lovely chap at the desk and explained that my wife was a smoker and a balcony would be ideal for her as she doesn’t sleep well at night and it would save her a trip all the way down to the smoking area. The chap told me that it was not a problem at all and gave us the upgrade we were looking for and they sent the bell boy up for our luggage and moved it the other room.

However bathroom a bit small. We had many night issues with smoking people and coming smoke smell through airco / window to our room. Even if we talk to front desk they could not do som much about it. Rooftop bar - a pity that some people (probably not guest from hotel) were drunk/loud and no one from personal did something about it. There we did not enjoy so much rooftop bar even if the place was so good

The wiev from our room were really great, the stuff were friendly and the bed was spacious and comfort. And location were great, just between the beach and Marina walk, so we really enjoyed. And metro station is not far away. The room was quiet.

It was not so clean, I found many hair on the floor every day, end the elevators were disaster. You should wait them for minutes and everything was messy.

The restaurants were very good and the staff were really nice there. Also the other staff were very nice execpt for one person.

The night when we arrived we checked in and the guy in the reception were really not nice and we thought we had booked two rooms but he said that we did not do that so we had to stay in a room with a horrible extra bed so my daughter could hardly sleep on it. The way that staff member treated us was not nice and this lowered your rating. You should check who you hire, that guy was not good in handling a guest.

Excellent hotel with wonderful people in great location, beautiful beach. We booked room on higher floor with sea view, it was worth it. Comfortable spacious clean room, everything was available, water, tea, coffee. Delicious breakfast with lots of people always ready to serve you. I do not remember other hotel where I was asked so many times how we are satisfied. I was amazed how people in this hotel care. Wow.

There were some really minor things when it comes to details which I see as hotel manager, but it meant nothing when you see that people truly care so much about your satisfaction.
