This hotel was absolutely amazing. Everything was perfect except the shower. The views from our room were breathtaking, the room and bed were so comfortable and the bathroom was huge

The shower was difficult to adjust - the second morning i had to have a cold shower. It was either cold or scalding. First morning was fine. At breakfast i would prefer tea and coffee to be ordered at the table. The coffee was rather 'muddy' as it wasn't freshly made. The hot water (in a flask jug) for the tea was nowhere near hot enough to make tea. I asked for a pot of tea and that was just fine.

A fabulous historic building with lovely owners and staff offering a room with a view over Aberporth. Great to see the sun set. No problem is too much for he staff to resolve. A quiet country hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the big hotel chains. The hotel offers Massage an dBeauty treatments. There is a chef on site for evening meal if needed, only for 3 days a week. Very good recommendations are supplied by the Owner.

no meals available on site every night I wrongly thought there would be a pool / sauna as it said it had a spa. Bed had a soft mattress (all down to personal choice)

Liked the hotel ` we stayed in the garden room. would have pr0ferred to have stayed in the actual hotel rather than outside in block. Ideal for pets in garden rooms. The cooked breakfast was good for my husband but I would have liked muesli or granola rather than cornflakes or weetabix/bran flakes. Beautiful grounds and hotel but hardly anyone there when we stayed a few weeks ago.

Continental breakfast Evening meal - very little choice.

Country house in a lovely setting being renovated by new owners. Still work in progress. Bedroom was comfortable with entirely new furniture & fittings. Restaurant food and service were excellent - both dinner and breakfast. Staff committed and keen to help in any way.

Room on top floor with skylight in roof - advertised as 'garden view'. Access via two long flights of stairs (no lift). Signage was lacking, leading to some confusion.

The hotel was lovely! It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Our room was lovely. The setting was stunning. Staff were polite. The breakfast was good. Would definitely stay again - we just wouldn't have an evening meal there!

The evening meal was poor. The fish and chips were soggy and oily. The mashed potato was made from a packet!! The shower was scalding hot and not easy to control the temperature.

The Pentrallt is a very pretty building, with its little village of accommodation rooms, nestled above Cardigan Bay. The views above Aberporth are truly stunning. A warm welcome, by staff who can't do enough, to make you feel relaxed and comfortable. A cozy bar, to sit with your dog and enjoy a drink. Rooms are large, comfortable and well appointed. Each of the garden rooms boasting an outdoor seating area, to drink in the view, and the Welsh fresh air. Breakfast, has plenty of choice, the Welsh Breakfast was delicious and possibly the best we have eaten any where! We ate at the hotel with the Relaxed dining, comprising cold platters or sandwiches, all tasty and fresh. The Resturant, is amazing, beautiful food, a real flavour explosion on each plate! I have visited more expensive, starred eateries within West Wales, and didn't enjoy the food as much as at the Pentrallt.Highly recommended, ensure you book your stay when the three course menu is available! Dog friendly hotel, it was so nice to find a garden that is fenced so our little dog could have a run off the lead in a secure space. He so appreciated that. The staff brought him a soft bed, to sit on, so he was not sat on the cold tiles in the conservatory, while we ate our breakfast. Thank you, so thoughtful.

We would have appreciated a larger bed, and a chair or sofa in the room. I am told many of the other rooms have these.

The setting is beautiful and the owners have managed to retain the character of the building itself. The staff are helpful and friendly, answering all our questions cheerfully without giving any impression of being too busy. We will certainly return and use The Penrallt as a base to explore the area more.

The one frustration was that the WiFi signal was non existent in our room and a little hit and miss in the drawing room. My partner was trying to do some work so found it trying but I enjoyed the enforced break from e mails. This is such a tiny niggle that it will not prevent me from returning.

The Penrallt exceeded all expectations and was excellent value for money! We booked a last minute double room for the weekend but, when we got there, the beautifully clean and spacious garden room detached from the main hotel looked so much better than the photos. We were able to drink outside on the terrace with a great view of the sea. The evening meal was excellent too. We look forward to returning.

The only negative is that we presumed it would be easier to walk down to Aberporth, giving the close proximity. However, everything about the hotel itself was excellent.

The hotel is in a great location, rooms are good, staff are fantastic so helpful, a good variety of foods for breakfast, a very pleasant place to stay.

It is a shame they do not do evening food for 7 days a week in stead of just 4 & room needed coat hooks.

Loved the character and location of the property. Beautiful, comfortable room.

First visual impression were not great as the property is obviously going through renovation and transition. In its defence it is early season and once completed will be a lovely facility. We would happily stay there again.
