Beautiful little village. An extremely picturesque pub. We were very happy with our choice of overnight accommodation. Amazing food. Lovely period room. A dog friendly area for breakfast, and they were even brought a sausage each x

The restaurant was full, so initially we were told we couldn’t eat dinner, even though we had a room booked. I had to ask if we could eat in our room, this wasn’t offered. As it turned out there were some seats outside at the front, so we sat there and ate as it wasn’t rainy.

Staff were so friendly and willing to help. We had to check in a little earlier than normal due to going for a wedding and they were so accommodating and offered to book a taxi for us to get to the venue as we were running behind time. The room was small but quaint and comfortable. Bathroom was large and luxurious!

Bathroom was very hot, could not figure out how to turn the heated towel rail off which we believe was the source of the heat however not a big problem, was more thinking of their bills! Breakfast was ok, salmon very salty but if there is something you want that isn’t on the menu then the chef is happy to mix and match or make things to your liking.

We have eaten here before a few times but never stayed over It was just perfect for a wedding that we attended and such a lovely little village Loved hearing the church bells

Well there was a continuous noise that could be heard like generator maybe ! Didn’t bother my husband he slept like baby but I’m a light sleeper and it took me hours before I fell a sleep

The location was perfect, right in the centre of the village. On a sunny day you can sit at the front of the pub and watch the world go by. The bedroom was modern, clean and comfortable and the en-suite had a lovely hot shower. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety and home made products. There was plenty of choice for dinner and it was lovely to have local produce on offer. All food freshly prepared.

The bedroom was a bit snug, so not much room to spread out. (We had 2 single beds). The beds were comfortable, but the luxurious, heavy quilts were far too warm. However, after the first night the staff offered to sort something out.

The place, accommodation & food were all overall excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

My only criticism was about an exceptionally large cobweb running the entire length of the room & was most unsightly - on the plus side no spiders! This should have been cleared.

Great location which suited us when we attended a wedding nearby. Room was clean and comfortable and really well maintained. The food in the restaurant was delicious but no pure bar area however it was while restrictions were in place. Parking available on site which is a definite must as local parking not brilliant. It is on the junction of two busy roads so not good if you’re a light sleeper. Perhaps request a room at the back Staff we’re lovely and really accommodating

Road noise but nothing they can do about that so request a room to the rear of the property if you like a quiet place

The staff was the best, everyone was so so so lovely and caring - the food was good too :) Loved that it was dog friendly!

Hair in the bathroom, dust on the showerhead and behind TV (you have the option to move the TV so that's how we noticed, not because we were being fussy)

Location was good ( it helped my partner who had mobility issues) Comfortable beds We stayed in the cottage room

Could not open WiFi (not sure if it was my fault ) You need maintenance to look at slow emptying shower waste (tray fills up )

Delicious food served by wonderful staff. Pleasant bedroom with an excellent bathroom.

The furniture in the bedroom was tired. One drawer had no handle so couldn’t be used.

Great location. Great food. Plenty of free parking. Twin room was a little strange, though functional & clean.

Could do with some EV charge points. Stayed in Sika twin room, but layout wasn't great and humming sound in background (kitchen fans?).
