The Lord Nelson Inn B&B

Stayed in the back room overlooking the beer garden and the gorgeous countryside. Fantastic view. Room had everything I needed. Very clean and comfortable. Bed was extremely comfortable. THE BREAKFAST WAS INCREDIBLE. The nicest breakfast I’ve ever had cooked for me by anyone. Darren the Landlord is brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble for him. If my wife was knocking up food of that calibre for me I guess I would be very happy and relaxed myself! The pub itself is cosy and also has Sky Sports. The Biltong is also on point

Couldn’t fault a thing

when we arrived, Darren made us very welcome , showed us to our room ( which was brilliant, nice and big lots of tea and coffee provided the location of a small village with fantastic views in all directions was ideal. After about an hour we popped down to the pub for a meal which was really tasty and good value for money. the decor in the pub what with the log fire and traditional old fashioned pub atmosphere made it better next morning the breakfast was good and hearty not too mention very tasty and filling. definitely think about staying there again for our next visit next September for Clitheroe MOD event.

The pub was in a nice location, nice walk for the dog close by. We arrived at 4pm to check in, the host was nice, booked us in for a meal in the pub, which was nice, beer garden at the back was lovely in the sunshine. Room was small, but ok for the night. Breakfast was included and was served in the pub, this was lovely, all fresh ingredients.

Shower was ok, not great, bit small, but manageable for 1 night. check in wasn’t until 4pm and check out was half 9 (although it says 10am on the website)

we checked in a little late but received a warm welcome and our breakfast options and available facilities were pointed out to us immediately. shown to my clean tidy room overlooking the pretty Lancastrian street. pub has a lovely garden and a real warm feeling throughout. great location. the breakfast was top drawer and was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious

We stayed at the Lord Nelson as we were attending a wedding at Mitton Fold. Darren made us feel very welcome, allowed us to check in early and sorted us a taxi to the venue. The rooms are clean comfortable and tidy and the full breakfast was excellent 👌 we are hoping to be back soon :)

The staff at the lord nelson were very friendly, they made me feel welcome and like a guest. The place felt very safe and clean, the manager set the central heating for me in the two mornings so it was the right temperature throughout my stay. Honestly will 100% be staying here again. The breakfast was so clean (not greasy or overdone) couldn’t have had a better stay. Also very very quiet on the night and comfortable beds. Many thanks

Nothing, spot on.

My room was basic but fine with an excellent view, the bed was particularly comfortable. Clean bathroom with a reasonable shower. As a single female I felt very safe and secure staying here. The host was friendly and helpful. Immediately I arrived he suggested a walk I could do which took me up the hill over the road to some rocks for another excellent view down the other side of the hill. There was a lot of animal life up here with alpaccas, horses and this years lambs, a great walk. Breakfast was limited but excellent, I can definitely recommend the sausages. I liked the outdoor gazebo at the pub with heaters, an excellent place for a drink at the end of the day. The pub was always quite full but I didn't hear any noise in my room.

Nothing really, perhaps a full length mirror in the bedroom would be an improvement.

This was a late-night way-stop on my journey, so it was lovely to be greeted warmly by the landlord and shown my room straight away. He quickly showed me the facilities, and made me feel very welcome, and like I was staying in a friendly home. He has a good balance of making you feel welcome to join the local customers in the pub, but that he understands the plight of the weary traveller in case you just want your space and to rest. In the morning I was struck by how beautiful the area is, and again was welcomed into the pub for a lovely cooked breakfast. It was a comfortable room and bed, decent shower and a quiet, restful stop on my journey. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area!

Honestly, I have no faults for the place - it was perfect for my needs, it was a good price for such a last-minute booking, and the landlord really did all he could to make me feel at home.

The laundry had a beautiful fresh smell, towels bedding just slept so well. There was plenty of coffee in the room (not just two measly pouches like most hotels but plenty, I didn’t count). The welcome, care, chats with all the staff and family. It was like being welcomed by a long lost friend. Can’t tell you how lovely the full English breakfast was. I didn’t need anything but I felt like nothing would have been too much if I’d have asked. The view from the room and bar is special too. I really hope to be able to return.

Absolutely nothing I would have different. Ooh I did evict a spider (is that significant?)

the whole experience from the minute we walked though the door till we left the following morning. the staff were so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. would certainly go back and reccommend it to family/friends
