Absolutely everything !! Cosy, welcoming, clean, friendly, 5* Sunday roast, just everything! We are already looking forward to coming back to stay again in the near future.

Nothing, we loved everything about it!

Everything about this place was fabulous. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. The location was great and the property was surrounded by beautiful scenery. My husband and myself would definitely recommend staying here.

This is absolutely nothing to do with the property, our stay or the staff. We were staying here but attending a wedding a short distance away - approx 4 miles - so we got a taxi there and back. Although we thought £20 going was just about acceptable we were astonished to have to pay £30 to get back. Not entirely sure why it was more to get back than it was to go when it was the same distance, route etc…

We booked a dog friendly room, then got an email to say the room was not dog friendly. We were moved to the Shepherd's Hut, which was lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Everywhere was beautifully maintained.

BTThe price for us having to move rooms, after I had booked a dog friendly room on booking.com was a lot, for one night. Also the price shown on booking.com didn't include VAT, so total with evening meal was expensive for one night we thougt, but it really is in a beautiful part of Lancashire.

We had the perfect stay while attending our friend's wedding just down the road. It's a beautiful old country pub/hotel in a lovely rural location. The owners were fabulous hosts, and so attentive, and a superb breakfast was provided in the morning. I Would very much like to return one day. Highly recommended to anyone looking for an attractive rural retreat. Thank you red pump for a lovely stay. 😊

Very helpful staff and excellent food, both breakfast and dinner. The setting was in beautiful countryside. We had a garden view, very quiet - we had an excellent night's sleep.

There was a "wet room" in our garden view room which could have done with a barrier to keep water out of the rest of the bathroom. Overhead shower only, no "mini-shower head" which would be nice to have had.

Location and friendliness of owners. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast buffet was very good quality.

Being told where to sit at breakfast and the fact that there were no eggs! Not sure description of 'continental breakfast' was completely accurate, but (apart from egg situation) it was great.

The bed was extremely comfy. We loved the character of the property and how it had been kept alive. Staff was extremely friendly We didn’t take our dog however we loved seeing family’s there with there dogs.

We didn’t like that we was unable to dine within the hours of 2-6pm, we just wanted something to eat prior to going to a wedding in the evening.

Room was very spacious but cosy feel with an excellent view, power shower was amazing! staff very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast delicious. Lovely rural location, ideal for the wedding we attended at the Out Barn. Great value for money we will definitely be returning in the summer!

Staff were very welcoming and friendly Lovely location with beautiful views, nice garden too Large car park Only had breakfast but that was great with a good selection on offer Rooms nice and kept clean

Pillows were not as I like but I am fussy about pillows usually so might be me WiFi poor out of the bar area but not essential for most people I suppose anyway

Cosy bar and restaurant. welcoming staff, very informative and helpful (especially Amelia! ). Breakfast was a delicious English breakfast which was freshly cooked.

Bar closed quite early on Thursday night. Being on holiday and staying in such a lovely place, would have liked to have stayed downstairs a bit later.
