Exceptionally friendly staff. Requested an early check in as I was attending a wedding and they went above and beyond to accommodate my request. Same professional service with breakfast in the morning and they remembered to enquire about the wedding etc. very attentive and friendly. Breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice.

If you are late back entry is down an alley. As a lone female I was a bit worried about it but I didn’t need to use it so it was fine

Very helpful, friendly staff and owner. Helped me when my room/boating partner fell ill with covid the day before our intended stay. The owner went out of his way to help me. Bar staff where excellent on the nights I stayed, and the lady who did the breakfasts was oustanding, she had everything under control, served up a great Scottish breakfast and even filled my flask with hot water!

Minor points. The shower head has a small leak, nothing that a spanner and a bit a PTFE tape wouldn't fix, and the front door, below room 1, could do with a softner on the close (as it is it bounces and makes quite a noise).

Staff very friendly and helpful. We were in room 8 and given the clammy weather, the fan was an asset. Breakfast was amazing and Liz and Jackie were very attentive and friendly. Second morning Jackie remembered that we would want coffee and mixed toast and served us super efficiently. As a smoker I particularly enjoyed the use of the beer garden. Would definitely visit again.

The reception staff were very welcoming and secured our touring bikes overnight in the beer room. The room was fabulous with views of the main street. The bed was large and comfy, the bathroom modern with good hot water pressure, and the wifi was good. We has both dinner and cooked breakfast in the hotel and both were substancial and excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

I wanted somewhere as a stop over to break my journey north. The Glendevon was exactly what I wanted. Friendly staff, comfortable and clean room, together with good food. While this is not a luxury hotel, it is still well furnished and welcoming. I would certainly stay here again.

I booked this through booking.com resulting in me being charged twice for the room. Booking.com's customer service is very hard to communicate with and I am sure I would still be arguing with them if Sean Adair from the Glendevon did not intervene to resolve the issue. In future I will always book direct.

the ladies who looked after us at breakfast and cleaned our room were brilliant, very friendly and helpful. breakfast was excellent with good choice, well cooked and served promptly. bedroom was very clean and comfortable with well stocked tea/coffee tray.

the outside of the property at the front looked very untidy with window covered with sacking didn’t give good first impression. however the inside was lovely. the music from the kitchen below our room was sometimes very loud

We had booked a one night stay of Bed & Breakfast through booking.com. When we checked in the receptionist had our booking as room only. As always I thankfully had the confirmation with me confirming it included breakfast. It did take a phone call to her boss to sort this out. Our room was really fine, with a super big bed and everything we needed. Likewise the shower room. We were out at night to visit relatives, so did not have dinner, but would be very happy to eat dinner there. Our breakfast next morning was super, and what a lovely welcoming and friendly waitress Megan was. Was a convenient place for us to stay, so would definitely return.

The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The dining area was also clean and well set out.

The breakfast was very unsatisfactory. This was left to a very inexperienced person working on his own with no assistance. As a consequence, service and quality of food was non existent. Had to wait for our tea and when it came it was Earl Grey! and toast was never on offer. The scrambled egg and bacon ordered were “different” - bless the young man, he was obviously trying his best but definitely needs training. When we booked we noted that checkout was 10 am latest but on leaving there was no evidence of anyone who we could settle our account with and were told that no-one would be around until 12 noon. In the end we left our details and asked the Staff to send us an invoice whereby we would pay by BACS.

Breakfast was sufficient with a good variety and well cooked appropriate to the area of Scotland ie. tattie scone haggis, quiet location even though on a main road

Unfortunately for the hotel the lunch and evening chef had suddenly finished and has not yet been replaced because the restaurant is very nice and spacious and appears to have recently been refurbished

This was my third time staying here. My first impression was that it was unprepossessing, but how wrong I was. The rooms are always very clean and the bathroom well stocked. The breakfast and service is excellent.

Some rooms are small, but have everything for a short stay.
