beautiful room, nice bath, nice and warm room, beautifully decorated, lovely place staff friendly, pub next door do beautiful hearty meals, great starting place to stay if you drive and want to explore the Lake District, plenty of parking space. we will definately return.

everything was great, other guests that was in the room above us was very noisy late at night (drunk) but no fault of crofters lodge and it wouldn’t put me off returning as it will be different guests staying,

The food was lovely at the restaurant staff were very lovely and helpful, the room was absolutely amazing very clean and tidy couldn't fault it.

There was only one thing I didn't enjoy during my stay, myself and my partner were up until 2am with noisy guests next to us. Playing loud music till early hours in the morning and also shouting and slamming the doors. Every time we kept trying to fall asleep they would be very loud and noisy again. The walls are very very thin and you can hear absolutely everything in the room next door. That's the only thing I didn't like.

Very friendly staff and they were quite responsive. They were very welcoming and had spacious rooms. We would also recommend you to try industry kitchen for brunch or breakfast. Place itself has also nice classical pub to get a beer and enjoy your stay. Will definitely revisit!

The heating system created some noise in one of the room we were allocated but the staff did apologised and moved us to the another room next day. They were very responsive on that and took action immediately. So overall it was fine for us.

Room was excellent, but fortunately or unfortunately we went on the hottest week so far this year, fan was provided but air conditioning would be better, as window don’t open fully to let more air in, for security, staff were very helpful, recommending places to visit and things to do. No breakfast was included in the deal

Prefect stay would happily go there again

Lovely cosy room and nicely decorated. Well presented and clean with a good bathroom and dressing room area. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Nice and quiet at night, had 2 peaceful nights sleep. Very nice lady who checked us in and gave us some info about what to do in the area A good base for the lakes if you don't mind the drive out, which is what we used it for.

Was initially surprised to find a housing estate had been built around it, which was not what I expected. However, its on the edge away from the town and that doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the stay.

The food from the resturant was fantastic, the one staff member who was on was exceptionally helpful and welcoming, and very good value for money.

The only criticism I have to make is that I was travelling for work and had to be up very early and there are no lights outside the accomodation early in the morning which as a woman travelling alone made me feel vulnerable when I was leaving my room and also as there are some un even paths/steps around, the place should be lit up at all times so that these are visible.

The beds are huge and comfy, the shower had superb water pressure. The room was large. The pub was lovely and the food was reasonably priced and very good. The location was super quiet and the accommodation was close but not too close that pub noise was an issue. Also the town center was a five minute drive. Plenty of parking. Absolutely loved everything about our stay.

In all honesty I can't think of anything.

The greeting & social welcome, the size of the room, the view & high standard of cleanliness. The lovely smell of the freshly laundered sheets and a great comfortable bed lead to 3 good night's sleep. Friendliness of the staff, nothing was too much trouble for them. There was an excellent restaurant & pub situated near to the lodge & its quality of food was certainly value for money.

Shame the scaffolding was erected took away some of the building's beauty but the renovations will be worth it in the end. Unfortunate there were no beef steaks available, would have liked to have tried some as the quality of food was really good.

Very well presented good sized room with a comfortable bed in a very quiet location. The pub the rooms are attached to is welcoming and serves good food and beer and the serving staff were very friendly and helpful. Not far from Barrow centre and definitely better than staying in the centre. Recommend staying here and would definitely stay again if I was in the Barrow area.

The lodges are clean and tidy and my old mum was delighted that she had a wet room. She wants one now although it could be improved further if a wall chair was fitted as some people are just too old to stand in the shower. Cannot say enough about the friendly staff. They all work so hard and are a credit. The outside was being refurbished at this visit which did NOT interrupt our stay but is a good move for the future. This location has so much potential
