We were given an upgraded room, which made the stay okay. The restaurant below was ideal, good food and great service.

Our original room wasn’t cleaned when we arrived, so we were given an upgrade. However the on duty manager was brusque to the point of rudeness. The location is unfortunate, this would be a great apartment in another location. Lots of small improvements required, such as the room was cleaned one day but not the next. It had some of the facilities of an apartment, but no microwave for example. There was no provision for breakfast and the township has very limited alternatives. A simple breakfast basket would be a great addition.

Room was nice, good size with wardrobe space for hanging clothes and plenty of drawer storage as well. It was great having a fridge in room and a sink along with plates/ cutlery, we didn't eat in the room but we did consider a take away one night which we would not do in a general hotel room due to lack of amenities. Staff were really friendly in the bar / restaurant and the cleaning staff were polite and courteous as well. Cocktails and meals in the bar downstairs were wonderful and it's great being able to leave the bar through connecting door rather than having to go outside to get to the rooms especially as it was raining one of the nights!

Room did get hot and there wasn't air con, there was a fan in the cupboard but it didn't really cool the room much. The window did open but you couldn't leave it open at night due to noise from street and the seagulls! Being slightly shorter in height it would have been great if the shower head was movable up and downwards, being a rainfall shower it's a bit lack lustre by the time it hits my head/ hair. The bed is definitely a general double bed size, when it said large bed I thought it would be king size, my partner is around 6ft and his feet were hanging off the bottom so maybe make that clearer in the descriptions of rooms.

The welcome was warm and the room was absolutely gorgeous. It was a real treat to have a fridge on the room as well as the tea and coffee stuff. The en-suite was small but lovely. The hotel is perfectly located in the town centre and our room was quiet.

The room was far too hot. We found it uncomfortably so. There was a fan which we found in the cupboard but it was so clogged with dust that it was rather ineffective. Everything else was lovely and I would book it again....May be in cooler months, the room would be a more comfortable temperature for us.

Staff very friendly and easy to talk to. Being in the middle of the town I thought it would be noisy ?? Not at all we both slept very well indeed thanks. The access to their own carpark made it easy for us also 👍👍.oh yes the excellent mini kitchen worked very well for us too. These little things like water in the fridge and a sprinkle of chocolates went down well also. A well thought out room and very spacious indeed...

On this short visit, there wasn't anything to upset us. We did have room number 13 so if someone was superstitious I could see a problem but not us. It was a lucky number for us on this visit thanks.

Well presented room and facilities. Clean and quiet. Wifi seemed reliable and fast enough for browsing and email. Check-in was straightforward (on-line). Room had refrigerator in addition to tea/ coffee, plus crockery/ cutlery (no hob). Breakfast, provided to room - no separate service, was juice, museli, yoghurt, croissant, pain au chocolat.

Because pastries provided day before they become soft, no means of warming them in the morning. (There is a toaster, but not compatible with croissant for example). Parking (free) is a short walk away. Adjacent areas are bit run-down, but didn't feel unsafe.

very good value for money. A little stressed but very helpful staff. It is located in the middle of the high street where pubs with live music are located as well. If you prefer a very quiet environment request room to the backside of the hotel.

The car park of the hotel is very close and easy to reach on foot, even with luggage, but the condition of the car park is more than bad and there is a serious risk of breaking your car. There were large potholes that sunk deep and were very difficult to drive around. The accommodation would have been given a rating of 10 if the car park had been in better condition. It was also confusing that we received a message that breakfast was included and provided in the fridge but we did not find it. However, this was not a problem for us.

The staff member was polite, and we were checked in very quickly and easily. We didn't look much at the pictures before going to the room as this stay was very last minute, this was better than expected and was very clean, loved the decor! The bed was really big, perfect stay for a couple. We also had food here previously when we stayed elsewhere, and I remember this being lovely.

We went for breakfast Sunday morning, and we realised they don't do breakfast as this was shut. There does not seem to be much in the area, so both days we have drove an hour to Windamere.

the room definitely was like a modern farmhouse styled room which I liked. there was a park which was about a 10 minute walk away which had beautiful scenery and they sold very nice ice cream on site. I liked that we were in town so there were a variety of shops near by. the bed was freshly made and it was a very big bed, perfect for couples to have plenty of room. there was a fan in the room which was needed. our continental breakfast for 2 for 2 nights included; 4 single portion boxes of Kellogs crunchy nut, 2 pints of milk, 4 croissants, 4 mini strawberry jam jars, 4 orange juices and tea coffee and hot chocolate, all in the room prior to our stay.

I noticed the en suite door had finger marks over it and the window had a lot of sea gull droppings on it which could easily be cleaned as the window opened fully into the room. although the bed was nice and big, it was very firm. I was on the 4th floor I believe as there was 4 flights of stairs, very tiring lol! it was very hot but probably because we were on the top floor as it was cooler as we went downstairs.

Room was brillant but microwave would have been a bonus and also a lift without lift I feel I wouldn't be able to stay again the room itself was very comfortable and you couldn't hear any noise from pub downstairs pillows need some better quality ones to give you a good night's sleep and staff need better hospitality training

Microwave in kitchen a lift and staff need more hospitality training as member of staff that checked me in was talking to me and takeing a payment with other people at same time and then gave me envelope with key card in it took me through door and said upstairs room 9 and that was it 4 lots of stairs luckily I only had a overnight bag but wasn't asked if needed help wasn't told about breakfast had to ask what time did I have to leave room by all these things would stop me coming back

Huge room with spa bath! Everything about the room was lovely. Big shower room as well. Nice touches with the toaster and plenty of milk tea and sugar etc. loads of room for clothes and plenty of draw space.

Didn’t realise when we booked that there would be quite loud music on beneath us in the bar area till 12pm. Being 4 months pregnant I was ready for bed at 10pm but had to lie there until midnight until music went off. Probably should’ve known there would be loud music but oh well.
