Staff were great. Jerry and the 2 ladies on the bar looked after us. One lady in particular got us booked in as a priority, which we appreciated and tried like crazy to get us a taxi to our gig. Their hospitality boosted the stay. I would like the staff to be recognised for enhancing our overnight experience. Thank you.

The location was good for where we needed to be. From the outside, the premises looked unappealing. We gave it the benefit of the doubt. The staff were friendly as were the guests. The room was large but very basic and tired. However, it was clean and suited our needs for our 1 night stay. The bar was friendly and drinks inexpensive. If passing, I would definitely have no hesitation going in for a drink. Likewise, if I needed basic and an inexpensive place to stay for the night, I would definitely consider. Only real gripe was someone opened the car park shutter a little after 6am and the clanking noise woke us.

The hotel is really close to Birmingham city center and walking distance from Cuba Bar where we were heading to celebrate our dance teachers birthday. The price was 3 times less than other hotel therefore I didn't expect it to be anything too luxurious. To our surprise the hotel was nice and cozy, staff couldn't be more helpful, the room was very warm, clean and beds were comfortable and the cherry on the top was breakfast. We paid small charge for Full English breakfast not expecting anything special which to our surprise was a really delicious and big breakfast served beautifully by a vey nice and helpful lady. Lovely place and highly recommended.

The price was good and the room was clean. The staff were very helpful and the cooked breakfast was great.

Compared to the online photos the decor has aged & in need of sprucing up from decorating to new carpets. This hotel is next to Birmingham football club so best to avoid dates when the team play home or away as it's extremely busy & loud in the bars. Home games also means parking is a nightmare especially if pple park over the hotels carpark entrance. The local roads also come to a standstill when the match ends for approx 45mins.

The room was good, clean & cosy, although the window didn’t close, beds where comfy & it was very quite considering there was a noisy bar underneath us, the bathroom was also clean, staff where great, we didn’t have time for the full english breakfast that was cook to order as we where running late but we did have toast and cereal there was plenty of choice and great value for money. We where made feel very welcome with our big dog , Thanks to all staff xx

The hotel is right next door to the football ground and after a 6 hours drive to get there we arrived at the same time as the matched finished the streets where totally gridlocked and we had to sit up the road a bit for over 1 hour before we could get anyplace near, now maybe not the hotels fault …but a wee quick email could have warned us of this, also hotel parking was all taken but there was plenty of street parking after everything calmed down

Rooms ideal for disabled people on first floor. Breakfast great value first thing in the morning. Cecilia very welcoming snd helpful to my wife and myself and we are both disabled thanks for the stay Royal George Hotel. Parking off street for a few cars, we are staying again if rooms available.

Nothing just remember that it is within 100 yards of Birmingham city football stadium, but don't let that put you off, just means getting a beer on match days takes a little longer.

everything was good the location the room the service.

the fact that the shutter for the car park closes at 11. I guess maybe they could arrange something in the future for a staff for night shift be at the hotel side of the bar and take care of the gate and if anything need to go out or in. also the shutter for the door to go to the car park closes at 11. i think that should’ve stayed open atleast again with staff member present incase guests need to get something from car. other than that it was lovely

The room was basic but the bed was massive, and really comfortable. Myself and my daughter had a lovely night sleep. The breakfast was lovely and really filling. The location was perfect for us which was the main reason for booking and the value for money. I'd 100% stay here again if I was returning.

The only issue I had was the shower went hot then cold after a minute. No I didn't report it but hopefully it was just a glitch.

Reasonably priced hotel in a calmed, residential environment. Well equipped room with desk, TV, ironing board, kettle with coffee and tea. Comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff. Relatively far from the centre, but does have a bus stop right on the street for a bus to the centre and it's also a short walk away from a bus stop for X1 bus (to airport)

Location is not great as I have explained, unless you are going to watch Birmingham FC or something (almost next to St Andrew's Stadium). For the rest, it was okay for the short stay.

We were warmly received by one of the staff on arrival. The place is going through a transformation but clearly money is being spent on the place. Our room was clean and basic with a new shag pile carpet, lovely to walk on. There is work to be done in the bathroom which is due for a refresh but it was clean and met our needs. We enjoyed a cooked breakfast included in the price of the hotel. There were no problems with parking our car in the Hotel Car park, which was the only vehicle in there during our stay. It was available on a first come basis and they had CCTV covering that and the streets alongside. On coming back to the hotel pub after our night out in the City it was lovely to sit near a log burning fire as it was quite cold outside. There was a loud disco taking place when we got back to the hotel which came to an end at Midnight. They were very strict on the rules with that one and it was very quiet thereafter. We couldn’t hear any street noise throughout the night or from fellow residents. If anything I felt conscious when talking to my friend as we didn’t want to disturb our neighbours once we were in our room. There were no issues getting into our room at anytime with the electronic card working fine. I have struggled with these at some places and have found that it could take several attempts to unlock the door. The beds were comfortable and it was a pleasant stay overall. We never tried the tele but did try the heater and electric kettle. The heater blasted out heating beautifully and the Kettle worked as expected. We enjoyed the full English breakfast the next morning which was served by a very friendly lady. We didn’t get time to check out the local area as we needed to make a move, so cannot really comment on that. For what we paid, it was good value for money. We also appreciated the friendliness of the staff and would stay again.

The bathroom needs work on it. The door handle of the bathroom is coming off and needs screwing back in. It wasn’t a big issue for us. Breakfast was down in the basement where it was quite cold, although we ate very early.

Where it was by the Blues ground and I loved the surrounding views

Double Jamesons on the rocks served in a half pint glass instead of a whiskey tumbler. Check my Google review and you will see more pictures. Blues losing in the 100th minute in extra time through a Trusty own goal. But we were bloody brilliant 👏 on Saturday when we came back from 3-2 down to win 4-3 away to Swansea. K.R.O
