The spa was beautiful, rooms were lovely and big and facilities were clean

The massage package said 50 minutes, it was half an hour late and we both only had 40 minutes The lunch we had which was part of the package was very slow, we arrived at 2pm and left at 3:45 …. And we only had a club sandwich! A few things were not available on the menu that day and also we were not told at the time of booking that we needed to pre order the afternoon tea which was what we wanted There were also non residents sat in the restaurant smoking vapes, and no staff challenged them Breakfast we were told we could only have scrambled egg, no other choice of eggs?

Lovely place, lovely big room with pretty view. Loved the Spa, the girls we had were so professional and welcoming. One of our theripst (think she was called Anisa?) Was so good

The room we had was lovely but we had over 10 blue bottles in there by the window, which my husband got rid of l. But some how the following day there were more again. The food wasnt great, breakfast choice was ok but the hot food wasnt great. We also had afternoon tea with our spa package which i was disappointed with, wasnt offered any tea with it, so we had to ask. The cakes and sandwiches felt dry.

Lovely accommodation and views. The spa was very relaxing and spa staff were very attentive. Bed was cosy and the room in general was absolutely beautiful and very clean.

Restaurant was poorly staffed. Food was average and nothing to rave about. Had to be asked to be taken to our table 20 minutes after the booking time was. Nobody came to the table to take the bill payment. When checking out was advised there was over £200 worth of food charged to the room we never ordered or received. This was however dealt with well by a manager who compensated for the trouble.

The breakfast was grossly overpriced, lve eaten better at a transport cafe it wasn’t hot .nothinng short of rubbish at 17 pounds 50 l expected a lot better and I connot say one good thing about it im sorry.

On booking an evening meal in the restaurant we had to wait nearly 45 minutes for our meal and when we had eaten it we sat at the table another 35 minutes for a waiter to come take our plates away so we could order a sweet , nobody came so we left the table and went to our room.I think it was absolutely so disappointing considering the hotel took 40 Pounds each towards the bill that was in total 42 pounds then told they don’t give you back the outstanding amount and we could not use it on drinks , it was daylight robbery and I will certainly not recommend this hotel and if they had any decency they would refund our money in total I’m very very disappointed and annoyed it was our wedding anniversary and I expected a nice stay.

An amazing location and beautiful surroundings. Rooms were a fantastic size and had a great view. Loved the rabbits roaming around the gardens and the cattle nearby. Loved that the hotel had not too many rooms and the Spa facilities were super.

The bar staff in the evenings were a little grumpy and the meal bill was overcharged when paying by cash and then added to the room the next day. We liked the meal but paying twice isn't our thing.

Room was excellent. Breakfast was great. Lady whi served us at breakfast was very good.

Wanted to stay at the hotel and watch the funeral but no TV anywhere in the lounge etc. Shame, as probably would of stayed for lunch. From someone who works in the industry, the lounge area used as a still area in the evening is not a great look, polishing cutlery etc. And the lounge/bar area needed attention to cleanliness. Some sort of booklet in the room with hotel timings, restaurant, spa etc. How to work TV etc. But overall excellent stay, thanks!

I liked the view from the window in the room. I liked the location of the hotel. I liked having a sofa in the room. Tea and coffee facilities good.

At breakfast the coffee machine was broken and no alternative was offered. The cushions on the bed had a very bad odour which made the room smell dirty. The room doors do not shut quietly so sleep was disturbed by other guests. The mattress had seen better days and was not as comfortable as expected.

The hotel was brilliant and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The spa was amazing and the whole place was very clean and comfortable - beautiful place!

The halal breakfast wasn’t very good and the veg breakfast did not include any sausages - it was just 1 fried egg, mushrooms, beans, 1 toast and tomato which was surprising. The mattress on the bed was really really soft so dipped as soon as you sat on it

The room we had in the main building was absolutely incredible, lovely original features. the spa facilities and changing area felt super luxurious. All the staff were brilliant.

I felt like the restaurant was severely lacking in ambience. the acoustics were awful. no one wants to listen to local radio ads blasting out when they are paying £100 for dinner. This aspect was a real let down. It made it feel like a conference hotel.

The historic, but modern rooms in the manor house, the fabulous spa, the friendliness of the staff. The quality of the food. Amazing views and garden.

Some little touches missing like someone to help carry bags up 3 flights of stairs, no bed skirt, meaning you grazed legs on twin/double bed latch, no shower-gel (although spa provided some kindly).
