Winckley Stays

Spacious two bed apartment with little kitchen and lounge area. Generous sized bedrooms, large beds, both en suite. Very comfortable and decorated to a high standard with a cosy feel. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out was very easy. Situated 30 seconds from a beautiful park area with places to sit and relax under the trees. A 3-5 minute walk through the park to the main high street shopping area. I would recommend a stay here.

There are only three car parking spaces with the apartments, so if they're full, you'll need to park in a nearby car park. We dropped our bags to our room first, then went to park the car. The management recommend parking in the Avenham car park but on arrival, we saw that they close it at 8 pm and your car would be locked in overnight, which I don't like (in case of emergency), so we parked opposite the train station instead and walked, but was nice weather, so didn't mind.

The room was excellent and very comfortable. The kitchen facilities were fantastic. And it was only a short walk in to Preston City Centre. I would recommend the property as an excellent alternative to the local big hotels.

Literally the only let down in the room was a lack of table to eat from, which given the excellent kitchen facilities was a little odd. When we arrived, we just dropped our stuff and headed out to meet up with people and it was only when we returned to the room with (pre-prepared) food that we noticed the lack of somewhere to sit and eat.

Privacy and style of the room, lots of space, great instructions before arrival, bonus having milk as brought my cafetiere and coffee and forgot milk. Easy to find, nice ambience and liked the layout and how they have utlilised the building

The room was mega hot even with both windows open it was very warm, we also used the fan, it may be worthwhile considering aircon. We were unable to turn off the bathroom radiator and as the bathroom door is opaque the little light button on the bathroom mirror meant the room was not in darkness, apart from that was perfect

Lovely compact “mini-apartment”, well-designed and furnished and spotlessly clean. Detailed text message with advance arrival instructions. Appreciated fresh milk in the fridge and ironing board/ iron. Linked to a restaurant open later in week.

Quite noisy with some residents arriving back to rooms c0200hrs overnight Monday/ Tuesday. Ziplock bed rather saggy either side of “join”. Mirror light in shower room wouldn’t turn off. Suggest a hook in shower room.

Lovely modern apartment with great facilities - especially the bath😍 The apartment was nice and clean and the bed was super comfortable! Short walk into Preston city centre. No car park on site but there is a car park a 2 minute walk away (£10.00 for 24 hours). The sweets and biscuits in the room were a nice touch and the complimentary upgrade made our day. We would highly recommend 😊

The fact that we couldn’t stay longer!

Myself and my partner visited after meeting at uni here 9 years ago. Perfect location right in the centre, room was decorated lovely just like pictures and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and took an interest in us. We checked in early just before 1pm and they held our bags till around 6pm the following day. Only negative thing I can say is our room was like a sauna! Heating wasn’t on and wasn’t a hot day. May have just been the particular room we had but didn’t have a good nights sleep.

Beautiful room in a quiet location. Lots of facilities (stove, fridge). Cookies/coffee were replenished every day. Comfortable bed. I would stay here again.

There was some mold on the wall. It didn't really bother me the rest of the room was really clean. It would have been good if there would've been more sockets.

Beautiful room and comfy bed. Would definitely plan on bringing breakfast to make use of the kitchenette if I stayed again! The tasting menu at the restaurant was a surprise and offered wonderful food.

I found it difficult to find but a member of staff helped me when I called! The only thing that would have made the room better, but this is minor, would be an area to sit with a mirror for make up application. I appreciate everyone wouldn’t need this but that is the only reason I haven’t given 10 - and shower gel please!

Stay here at least every 2 weeks but was put in the Chalet this week. What an amazing room. 2 bathrooms separate living room with small kitchen area and separate bedroom. Both rooms had TV's and immaculately clean as ever along with fantastic décor that in Winkley is a talking point in its self. Certainly not a standard hotel room more like a home while you are away

Nothing at all

The rooms were great, the staff very helpful and the location very convenient. I enjoyed staying here whilst visiting family, and I can imagine it being a great solution if you were on business for a few days and wanted to be more self sufficient. The little kitchen area was well equipped for simple breakfast or microwave meals. It is a brilliant location very near Avenham Park, Town Centre and the University.

Parking is a challenge. It is ok post 6pm on the road, but the parking attendants were busy at 8am! No parking charges apply on the road on Sundays. There are one or two 2hour slots which are reasonably close by so with some sensible planning youre ok till 10am!!
