Legacy Preston International Hotel

I like this hotel, I've been there quite a few times. It is not a brand spanking new hotel, but nevertheless it is clean, quiet, with good sized rooms, a comfortable bed, and provides a good breakfast and also evening meal with a varied menu. I was pleased they serve zero alcohol lager! The staff are great and friendly. You get free car parking. It is close to the UCLan university campus and not far from the train station and Preston main shopping centre. They have opened a new gym....must try it next time I'm there.

I don't watch a lot of TV, but maybe access to sky or similar subscription channel, but it's not a big deal for me.

Lady at reception was very nice and friendly and helpful. If you are visiting the university it's perfect as on the doorstep.

We asked for a quiet room as we were arriving late and leaving early next day, and the staff kindly even messaged noting this and confirming. Unfortunately we were put beside a room with a party going on til past midnight .. shouting and singing. This isn't the fault of the hotel really just inconsiderate guests, maybe because they had a tour party that night. But it was definitely annoying given that I had specifically wanted a quiet room ... it was so late we just put up with it, maybe shouldn't have.

The staff were really friendly and keen to help in any way. The room was spacious, airy, clean and comfortable. The location is good - within a 10 minute walk of the centre. All in all, very satisfied with our stay and will make a point of returning if travelling in the area again.

Arrived at about 1.30pm and would have liked a snack which the information in the room said was available from the bar but the kitchen had closed as it was 'a quiet day'. This did not put us off the hotel at all but it was a very hot day and we didn't want to go into town until the evening so maybe some ready made sandwiches could be available if it's not practical to serve hot/made to order food at lunchtime.

Second stay at this hotel its very central with good parking. It has clean modern rooms and a good hospitality tray. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is well appointed with toiletries. The WIFI works well and the meals are reasonable if you stay for dinner. Breakfast is self serve and was excellent.

The Evening meal choice was limited and mine was a bit salty and overcooked but the breakfast next day was great. the local environment is a bit intimidating and a little way from the shops and amenities

The hotel staff were very nice and friendly. Hotel room was clean if a little cold even after turning up the heating. The bathroom was very good and the shower was hot. I loved the heated towel rail. The breakfast was top quality. It's the only one I have ever had where what you get matches what's advertised. Fresh food not greasy with a nice lot of choice.

My room overlooked a busy road, so there was some outside noise even with the curtains closed. The room was perhaps slightly overpriced.

I found the Breakfast a good selection, but missed mushrooms. The room 210 was clean and roomy, alas the windows were locked {probable due to a touch of health & safety}. Some reviews state traffic and train noise, unless in was very quiet it was not noticeable. Enjoyed our stay.

The bedroom doors were hard to open and close and needed a good slam to ensure closure. this was disturbing at times because you could hear banging doors as guests returned. Despite this it did not spoil our stay.

Excellent location close to the university, walkable to the train station. Staff were wonderful and, at my request upon checking in, immediately changed my room to face away from the train (I had just spent a few nights in another city and could not sleep because of the train). I have no idea whether you can hear the train from this hotel, though - maybe you can not hear it anyway.

Nothing - everything was perfect. I didn't eat at the hotel so can not comment on the food.

LOVED THE TEAM!! especially Liz and Scott on reception and Jasmin. so helpful as never been to preston before so Jasmin was giving me directions..i was a little nervous as i was on my own however Scott welcomed me and made me feel at ease. Liz has been a diamond and nothing is ever too much trouble, helping me with future reservations and any questions she was always so friendly!!

Ran out of gluten free bread and gluten free cereal at breakfast 2x days in row.

Everything is perfect, but the breakfast can be a bit better. The breakfast is not bad either, it just can be better. First, the container of the food can choose a better & quality one (just one-time cost). Because of the choice of container (for food and jam), the places will tend to look messy which I never experience in other places. May be replaced with packed jams instead of a big jar of jams, and tin containers for food with bowls The breakfast looks pale and not so enticing, and the potatoes look weird. When the presentation is bad then it matters, otherwise, we don't notice that.

As a cycle traveller, a safe place overnight for my bike is a daily concern. But the staff was very friendly and let me put the bike instantly in a conference room that was locked during the night. I was tired of cycling all day, so I was happy to have dinner in the hotel. Although being 'barfood', it was an excellent plate. The room/bathroom was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The breakfast buffet was excellent. They even had croissants and pains-au-chocolat ! Highly recommended.
