Oak Lea Hotel

It says in the title that I stayed 2 nights, well I stayed 3 nights instead I enjoyed it, lovely comfortable bed clean facilities, the staff was so very nice and friendly, I felt strange going on holiday by myself but the bar staff spoke to me and made me welcome, I had breakfast and a 3 course meal though the days i stayed, hat's off to the chef Johnny.

As someone that has stayed in Blackpool many times, I understand the resort. Most hotels are in need of modernisation and en-suite facilities are usually cramped. I found the Oak Lea pleasantly surprising. Yes it can be improved, but the owners clearly care about their hotel and their guests. It's location was perfect for my requirements. Each interaction with the staff was very friendly, without being overbearing. A blown light bulb was replaced within two hours of it being reported. The room was very clean and tidy, hot water was quick to arrive for a second floor room and more than sufficient for a shower. Room service was daily but unobtrusive. Bar facilities (with entertainment) were impressive for a hotel of this size. I did not have any food but the kitchen looked reasonably spacious. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to anyone that doesn't have insane expectations. It is a good sign when you want to stay longer and I would not hesitate to consider a return visit.

I really struggled to think of anything to put here, until my case broke on the way back to the station and I missed my train!

A brilliant hotel in the perfect location. Family room a nice size, comfortable and clean. Other family members had 2 double rooms one being a delux which was a brilliant size. Good breakfast. Great wee bar area with pool and darts and a fab entertainment space downstairs. The staff were very welcoming and went out their way to make our stay great.

Hotel a little tired and run down. Shower not the best New owners took over in April this year and have already began making changes in upgrading.

The Hotel changed Owners in April and have spent alot of money making this alot better then before. I can honestly say it was a real enjoyable stay.Sraff couldn't do enough for you.Meals were excellent,not a bit of grease on your Breakfast.3 Course Evening Meal,Pleasant and enjoyable,,clean rooms, entertainment nightly,2 Bar's Pool Table. What more do you want for your stay. John and Tracy and Staff made us feel so welcome.

If I had one complaint it was the Shower. It was Hot but pressure was a bit slow. but everything else made you feel at home.

The hotel was lovely, John and Tracey the new owners are brilliant lovely welcome on arrival, room was lovely with comfy beds and very clean,entertainment and bar at nite ,lovely food had breakfast and evening meal the chef natasha food is amazing all freshly cooked ,all the staff were lovely and nothing was to much trouble a real home from home .I stayed in this hotel a few years ago it had different owners give it another go with having new owners and was not disappointed thankyou Tracey, John and staff for a lovely stay

Nothing every thing was perfect

Location was perfect and hotel was very good. My second visit so knew what to expect

Not about the property as such but was frustrating to have to pay for 4 nights as booked when we could only stay for 3 due to the train strikes. Hotel said there was nothing they could do about the unused night because the booking was done via booking.com

The Oak Lea is a very friendly hotel where the owners go out of their way to ensure their guests are looked after. I have stayed here a few times now and it's comfortable, clean and very friendly. It is also ideally situated to get around. Entertainment is provided nightly and is very entertaining. Food is always hot and delicious.

There is nothing not to like.

Everything was great and a nice warm welcome and the manager Johnny was amazing gave me and my sister 5 star treatment. A true credit to the business. The food was excellent value for the money and nice can't fault it a big thumbs up from both of us would highly recommend it and would definitely go there again 👍😊

I think the main door should be locked earlier at night as people go to bed at different times in the evening plus we were given a key for the door anyway to gain access

We were greeted by owners John and Tracey who did not only give us a lovely warm welcome but were so helpful throughout our two-night stay and were such nice people. Johnny the head chef was friendly and funny and the food was second to none SUPERB FOOD all homemade. Mark in the restaurant/bar again was so warm friendly and helpful. All staff were great. Our room was of good size clean and was very pleasant. Look forward to returning to this hotel soon Thank you John and Tracey and all staff.

Nothing.

The staff were amazing. The lady on reception was wonderful. Very personable and approachable. I had to cut my stay short due to unforseen family circumstances and she was very accomodating and even offered me a discount for my next stay. The fan in the room was a very welcome touch as it was definitely warm at night.

The bathroom was very small.. I struggled to get past the sink to use the shower. Also the shower head was way too high up to use attached and twisted round so it had to be hand held. One of the beds was at a slant and I felt like I was going to roll out if I turned over.
