Clift Guest House

We really liked the home-from-home feeling we got from Clift Guest House, it was like staying at a friend's house. We were greeted by a lovely guy who showed us where everything was and made sure we had our key etc. The room was on the snug side, but it suited us just fine, the beds were comfortable and the complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits were much appreciated. Our room had a mini fridge and a wash basin which was really handy. Overall we were happy with our stay and would book again if we come up to Bristol again.

The only downside was the distance from town as it's a 40(ish) min walk into the city centre, so we relied on Ubers quite a bit to get in and out, but on the flip side being further out meant less city noise, so it's 6 of on and half a dozen of another really. We personally were grateful to have gotten decent uninterrupted sleep, but we did spend a lot of time walking/ubering lol.

Very close to Aston gate stadium and the Cumberland Basin and Marina.Staff member was very helpful and available if needed The room was small but ideal for one person .Very nice en suite with shower cubicle and toiletries and towels.Their were tea /coffee and biscuits available in the room and their was a brow onto the rear garden.I also appreciated the large flat screen tv which you could watch from the bed with streaming channels available.

I felt that the bed was slightly uncomfortable but I had a good nights sleep with no noise from fellow guests

The property was clean- even the communal bathroom and shower was very clean. The male receptionist was friendly. The room we had was spacious and there was no noise disturbance. Uber into the city center is about £11-£16 so not too expensive.

Small but practical and clean ensuite room with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits. Good location with supermarket and restaurants around within a few minutes walk. Walkable distance to public transport.

The building is facing a busy road so it was noisy especially with the window opened. The kitchen needs deep cleaning.

Great customer service and friendly staff. I was upgraded to a double with an en suite at no cost which I was more than pleased with. The location and price were great value for money as I was only staying for one night. It was only a short trip to town and back by taxi. Check in was straightforward and the self-checkout made things very easy to handle. Would easily recommend the stay for the price and location.

The rooms were very clean and and comfortable. The only thing I had to watch out for was my head in the toilet as I was on the top floor as I'm a bit on the long side but had all the amenities and an ensuite to myself so I was more than happy with everything else.

Bed comfortable, no breakfast, but the important thing for me was the location - very close to where I wanted to be. Staff helpful, they even found me a parking space!

Shared bathroom not ideal, but was never a problem.

Really well located for Ashton Gate. Welcome was warm but not overwhelming and was shown straight to room. Room was easily accessible and there were two bathrooms available so even though it was shared, there was never a line. Room was clean and bathrooms were spotless.

Rooms a little dated but as advertised on booking.

Did exactly what we needed as we booked last minute to enjoy the Bristol nightlife. Decent location at a decent price. The guy on reception was very informative and helpful Facilities were basic but it was everything we needed for the occasion

The property is nothing special, however it suited what we wanted at a reasonable price! It was clean and all the staff were very nice to us! Perfect if you want an affordable place to sleep! We stayed in the family room as a group of friends and it was great to be all together. Complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and a mini fridge and TV in the room was a nice touch.

I like the fact it is Near Ashton gate Stadium. and it was in a good area it felt like a new home in Bristol and I wood stay again the staff where friendly.
